    uni sushi and masago sushi
    Lin L.

Ate here as a precursor to the nearby Kiko Halo Halo. Chosen as I've eaten at the Glendale location before. Ambiance: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Japanese exterior and interior, looked very nice. Would be a nice place to take a date. The seating area inside was kind of dim.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food: Extremely fresh fish all around. Every single item ordered was good: unagi doburi, samurai roll, king salmon roll, uni sushi, masago sushi, toro (not pictured) and kara miso ramen (not pictured). The pork in the ramen was very good and the broth was scrumptious-- mildly spicy but flavorful. Good for those who want a touch of spice without any pain. Service: Very good service from everybody in the restaurant. Every person we interacted with was pleasant and polite. Bathrooms: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bathroom was reasonably clean; 2 stalls with floor to ceiling doors. 1 stall with a chair and changing table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking: Free in the nearby structure or street parking.

Love this spot at Burbank. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Always beautiful and nice ambience[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], service is great. Staff is very attentive and food is always super fresh. All the rolls that we got were amazing. And appetizers - baked green mussels, garlic edamame and fried calamari were just super delicious. Kopan has few locations and none of the locations ever disappointed. Highly recommend them. Reasonably priced and they have specials so delicious and affordable, it's a must go

Checked out Kopan Sushi & Ramen Bar in Burbank for a full sushi + ramen run and it did not disappoint. The Japanese decor instantly sets the vibe when you walk in. We started with drinks since it's also a bar, then got the tempura and fried calamari- lightly battered, super crispy, and not greasy at all. Their rolls are buy one get one 50% off, so we went with the baked scallop and crunchy spider roll. Portions are huge and definitely shareable. For mains, we had the unagi donburi, miso ramen, and ginza sushi. The ramen had perfectly chewy noodles with a well-balanced broth, and the sushi was beautifully plated with really solid fish quality. Best 12 pieces I've had in a while. Overall: great spot for variety, portions, and value. Would definitely come back.

I really wanted to try the ramen but realized most dishes only had pork broth. I wish they add a vegetarian or chicken broth option in the future. The chicken katsu I got was good but not the best I had. I don't eat sushi so I would recommend this spot if you are a sushi lover. They had sooooo many options and kinds of sushi. The space itself transports you out of burbank. I really loved the interior!

Solid sushi place that's great to come back to for casual dinner. Waiters were very friendly, got us everything we needed when asked. They also have an automatic alert in their checkout system to add the roll BOGO discount just in case they forget, which is very nice so you can be certain they never forget the promo. Their interior mimics the Japanese izakaya scene with the fake moon and roofs which adds a nice touch of ambience.

Wonderful service, even though we dallied too long at our table they were still kind to us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibes are good, with clean tables and plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the chicken curry katsu which was tasty, but I would recommend the bento dinner for next time if you'd like to try multiple things! Everyone was happy with their sushi and ramen too.

I stopped here with my co-workers for lunch. First of all, the interior is so cool. When you step into the restaurant it looks and feels like you just stepped into a little back street in Japan. The interior is beautifully crafted with faux storefronts and Japanese decor. The lighting is moody and cozy, this is actually a great spot for a date. We came at an odd time so it was not busy, service was quick and friendly at the door. Now I'm not very familiar with Ramen or Asian foods in general, so the menu was a bit intimidating but as far as I could tell it seemed authentic. We all got some type of lunch special which was a main dish + side dish. For me it was Tonkatsu Ramen, medium spice with a Spicy Tuna roll. The meal was absolutely delicious, I tried my coworkers sides (a myriad of items) and they were all fantastic. I only leave 1 star off because I wish our server had been a bit friendlier and a bit more attentive, he was professional but a bit curt and had to be flagged down to refill our drinks. Great experience over all.

Kopan never disappoints! Their chicken Karaage is perfectly fried and tender. Their beef gyoza was awesome and the dipping sauce with wasabi mixed in was perfect! I usually go for ramen but I was in a hurry. Thank you Ashley M for your friendly and welcoming service. I will be back!!

    Yummy Roll and Lemon Roll

There's street parking but mostly structure parking nearby to get here. There's plenty of indoor seating. The inside is really neat with a Japanese outdoor nightlife aesthetic. It's a chill atmosphere that's great for either a casual meal or nice night out. The staff are nice and checked in frequently. The food arrived quickly. I got the Yummy and Lemon roll. Both were tasty! I've had citrus rolls before this one was one of the better ones. It didn't have a bitter taste, which is rare but unappealing when it happens. And the spicy levels were just right with enough of a kick. Not overly spicy. The size of the rolls were perfect, easy for one whole bite. I'd return here again.

We went in there during the heavy rains yesterday! What a great place for ramen. My son and I loved it, the service was so good and the ambiance very much worth the visit. So cute we are definitely coming back, our waitress was super sweet and attentive. Definitely coming back

The inside of this Kopan is themed like a street at nighttime. They also manage to keep the tables along the sides very enclosed so that dining feels much more private. Service was a little iffy, our server was very on top of taking our orders and bringing us food, but then disappeared for the rest of the meal. We had to flag down another server to get boxes and pay the bill. The food itself was very good! I don't like sushi while my fiancé does and it is tricky to find a restaurant that has good sushi and non-sushi menu items. Kopan hits this sweet spot!

We came down from Orange County for a staycation and, on our last day, were trying to figure out where to eat after grabbing boba for my daughter. We ended up at Kopan, and I'm so glad we did! The food was great, but the hospitality from Tae and Ashley really made the experience. They were so friendly, welcoming, and took the time to answer all of our questions without making us feel rushed. As someone who works in hospitality, I really appreciate service like that. To the owner--your team is doing an awesome job! We had a lot of places to choose from, and we're happy we picked Kopan. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area. Five stars!

I ordered a bomb diggity roll to go. The Bomb diggity roll is spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, albacore, jalapeño, & crispy onion. I love the kick from the spicy tuna and how fresh the roll tastes. And I love that there is lots of crispy onion on top. Parking- street parking or nearby structure

Over the years, I feel like the quality of the ramen has kept up with the times-especially at this particular location. After all, two things set the standard for Japanese ramen: The broth and the noodles. JINYA has the both nailed to a fiery science. And their noodles are worth making noise for. Yes, you are encouraged to SLUUURP away. My new all-time fave is their SPICY CREAMY VEGAN RAMEN. The vegetable broth was flavorful. It comes with tofu, onion, green onion, spinach, crispy onion, garlic chips, garlic oil, chili oil and sesame seeds & served with thick noodles. I customized it and traded the tofu for BROCCOLINI + ADDED A POACHED EGG for a nominal upcharge. 5/5 ***** My other go-to choices (depending on my mood): 1.) PREMIUM TONKATSU RED. It has a richer pork broth, pork chashu, kikurage, green onion, seasoned egg, nori dried seaweed, red hot chili oil and spicy bean sprouts & served with THICK noodles. 2.) SPICY CHICKEN RAMEN comes in a creamy, spicy chicken broth, chicken chashu, spinach, spicy bean sprouts and green onion & served with THIN noodles. Choose your spice level, MILD, SPICY or HOT. MILD, SPICY or HOT is numbered from 1 to 10. If you choose higher than level 6, an additional $1 will be added. Dial the heat up to 11, or anything above level 6 and you'll pay $1 extra. It's worth it for the fire-breathing firecrackers out there who love pairing heat with spice. Don't worry, their cold sakes, mocktails, and Japanese beers will help put out the flames. I recommend the MATCHA LYCHEE LEMONADE. It's great for dialing down the heat and refreshing any Soup-er-star Slurper.

We walked in, and it took about a minute until someone noticed and seated us. I told my friend that their Garlic Truff Ramen is pretty good, as I had tried it just a week ago from the Mission Hills location. We both ordered it and also order the Creamy Broccolini as an Appetizer. The Broccolini was absolutely delectable. Who would have thought such a simple dish would be soo good. The sesame dressing on it complimented the slight cook/char on the broccolini and we loved it. We rated this a 10/10, and we will be trying to make this at home from now on. Then we got our ramen. We both asked for pork as our protein, so we got the exactly same thing. The ramen did not take too long to come out, which was perfect because we were hungry. The smell of the truffle was definitely stronger than the actual taste of it. In fact, I actually think the one I ordered from their Mission Hills location actually had more of the truffle flavor, which made me enjoy it more. Also different from the Mission Hills location was their use of greens. Burbank's ramen came with kale, while MH's came with spinach. The pork was cooked well, and the egg was just right as well, though my friend mentioned that the egg could have been marinated just a tad bit longer for more flavor. We rated our bowls an 8/10. The service we got was fairly good, but we did encounter a booboo when we found a little fly in my friend's drink. They changed it immediately when we asked, so it was remedied fairly quickly. There are a lot of options to eat around this area, but if you do want ramen, this is one of the spots you should definitely visit. Cheers & Happy Eats! XOXO

I'm all for fresh ingredients, but I'd prefer they not arrive with all eight legs still attached. Mistakes happen, but this one was pretty hard to stomach. Hopefully they step up their produce washing and inspection, because I'd like my next bowl of ramen to come with noodles... not wildlife.

Seated in a rather interesting part of North Hollywood, the summer heat did not deter us from eating here, as the smell immediately brought my worries elsewhere. A vast majority of the food here was fantastic, and the only reason I was going to opt for 4 stars was the takoyaki had quite a tiny portion in the actual dough ball- despite the actual breading so soft and fluffy, it was like the most delightfully extravagant packaging for something that was a bit of a let down. Though, much to the credit of our waiter she understood and offered to swap it out for another appetizer, which probably deserves the vast majority of the praise here. The vegetarian dumplings we ordered were legitmately some of the best dumplings I've had period. From the vegan mayo to the best gentle heat I've ever had the experience I've eating. Just hot enough for a brief moment with delightful heat throughout. The chicken skewers we had and the calamari were solid and with a perfectly paired Thai Iced Tea, I only hope to visit again and drown in dumplings. Cheers!

Crunch roll was on the bigger side, exactly what you expect of shrimp tempura and imitation crab . Lastly the soup , very very spicy . We asked the waitress for about 6-7 of spicy and I think we got like 9. I am not complaining I though, I think we needed the heat . We had to eat the soup with the edamame simultaneously: it was that hot . If you like spicy order the spicy tontonsku, and also order a Pinot Grigio to go with it. Best combination ever , the brightness of the wine would cool down my palate as a gulped the fire water from the soup . If you don't like spicy , make sure you tell them you want it less spicy . Overall : I'm intrigued and want to go back . I did not give it 5 starts because it was very quiet , there was no music ; we can hear the food being made in the kitchen. Saw the high reviews so had to check it out. Susuru Ramen Bar is located on the corner of Hollywood Blvd and N Kingsley Dr. The lot is small sharing spaces with other restaurants so your best bet is street parking, which can also be tricky especially later in the day. The restaurant is small, with the register counter as the first thing you see walking through the door. There's bar seating against the wall, and 2-3 tables for groups of maybe 4-6 people. The lady manning the front counter as well as taking orders and serving was fantastic. Very friendly and checked up on all tables through out the night. For ramen, my bf got the Tonkotsu ($1 extra for spicy), and I got the Mayu. I see why it has such high reviews, both were delicious. The roasted garlic oil was amazing and complimented the pork broth. The seasoned soft-boiled egg was our favorite part, not just lightly seasons either. It was sweet and savory with each bite, and the creaminess from the jammy yolk was fantastic. The charred cha siu slices had a slight sweetness too, and the fat through the slices gave it this wonderful melt in your mouth, mouth feel. The tonkostu spicy used the same broth just added the chili oil to it and gave it a good bite. The noodles had a nice chew to it. It was just the perfect bowl on a chilly May evening. Definitely worth checking out for a great bowl of ramen.
