Ajisai provides a perfect dining experience to start the night in WeHo - the Benji roll is not to be missed and neither is their spicy tuna roll - this spot has a higher quality of sushi with fantastic prices and reminds me of our times in Tokyo.

Delicious sushi at decent prices! Enjoyed the Mr. Shoei and Mr. Clinton rolls. Compared to other sushi places, seems like there are less specialty roll selections but more sushi/sashimi options

It's my second time back & I love thier sushi!! I've been getting the Ms.Clinton every time as well as the pork gyoza ! It just hits every time. Highly suggest this place for some good sushi in West Hollywood. The prices are great and not overpriced. Great parking available around as well !!

Super small and cute little restaurant- the staff is very kind and welcoming and give it a family style feel. The pork gyoza is a must and the veggies were tasty as well, we added a dash of soy to give it some additional flavor. The salmon was delicious and a perfect starter. The rolls were so fresh and and filling too- the selection is perfect, although I do wish there were a couple more specialty roll options.

My dear friend who is the mayor of Weho brought me here to celebrate her award for from StoneWall Honors 2024. I just fell in love with the service and the cuteness of this restaurant. The ambiance was cozy and had such a great vibe. Everything we ordered on the menu was delicious. The miso soup was delicious along with all the food down to the green tea ice cream. I will be back again and so glad she showed me this place!

I loved this restaurant! Very quaint and cozy inside and note that it's street parking only so depending on time of night you might need to use the lot right next door. Palm has a few meters but it's permit parking as you go north FYI. I've been presuing the multiple Japanese options along Santa Monica Blvd and I think this spot is my favorite. Prices were fair and service was a bit slow but with only 2 runners, I didn't mind at all because... Their Biscotti is THE best spicy tuna on rice I've had so far in LA. Huge portions of the tuna on a bed of their crispy rice. Must get! Dragon Roll was also great. They do not skimp on the spicy tuna and I adore them for that. Dynamite is a casserole looking dish and I LOVED it as a scallop person. It's basically a lot of scallop and mushrooms cooked in a cream cheese, can't get more decadent than that! Eager to try more of their dishes!!!

I was really excited to try this place, it's walking distance away, and really cute! I wasn't overly impressed with the sushi or sashimi, I felt like it could be better. Not too thrilled by the Mr Trump roll, didn't like that the menu had a political slant, there were other presidents too, but, Trump?!? This is Weho and I don't live here to be reminded that Trump exists when I am eating Sushi. Otherwise, it was a good regular place, nothing special and quite pricey. No miso soup included as complimentary starter, which is pretty standard. Prices were kinda high, I get it...but, I thought $10 for garlic edamame was over the top. Probably won't return, there's other places that are better near by.

Great little place to eat at. The service was really great and the food was delicious if ever in town give it a shot.

Flavorful miso soup perfect for chilly nights. Wine, beer and sake' available.

It's true what they say about the most delicious food being served at 'hole in the wall' restaurants. Ajisai is no exception. I've been enjoying this sushi restaurant nearly every weekend since I moved to Los Angeles three years ago. Every dish is consistently fresh, whether it's sushi, sashimi, rolls, chicken or my favorites, Dynamite & Korean BBQ Ribs. The service is also consistent in being warm & welcoming, knowledgeable and best of all, quick & efficient. The ambiance? Cozy and somewhat loud with happy diners chatting or laughing. So stop on in and experience this West Hollywood Japanese local favorite for yourself. Reservations are highly recommended.

It's a friendly neighborhood sushi place in WeHo, not fancy just a small place with small outdoor seating and couple seats inside. The service is a little slow but good, I came at the busy time so it took a while for the food to arrive: The menu is quite affordable, and the fish is good quality and the pieces are big. The spicy tuna on crispy rice is good and interesting, never had it in any other sushi place. The sushi comes in two pieces per order and the fish cut is pretty generous, and each piece taste very fresh. The trump roll is delicious, highly recommended.

    Mr. Clinton Specialty Roll...yummy.

Love this adorable, classic sushi restaurant. It's right on Palm across the street from Santa Palm Car Wash. Inside it feels a bit like Little Tokyo because it's very cozy and looks like an authentic Japanese sushi place with bamboo frames, yellow walls and some Japanese decorations. Nothing flashy here, and it's really charming. The rolls are fantastic. I love the names of the rolls... the Bill Clinton roll is my favorite. Great bottomless iced green tea. Be sure to make a reservation because they don't have many tables inside and they get booked up. Was lucky and just walked in today when it was not busy. My favorite seat is the table for two by the window. Great place for a date! There's metered parking on the street, or try the paid lot just to the west or one of the West Hollywood parking structures...one is a 5 minute walk east.

I was afraid that everything was going to be extremely heavy, like French cuisine can be with all the cheese and butter. But I ordered the Combo of the Lemon Butter Chicken Ramen and a side of the Miso Teri Bowl (in case the ramen would be too much for me), and I was blown away by both dishes. The Lemon Butter is NOT heavy at all. It felt light and savory, but had a depth of flavor that's hard to identify because this is a dish I have never had anywhere else before. I can see why it's the most popular item on the menu. I took the side of Miso Teri Bowl home for dinner as the ramen was filling enough. There's a hint of wasabi in the dressing they drizzle over the shredded green onions that elevate this dish from other Teriyaki Chicken bowls I've had. Just DELICIOUS. I'd come back to Tonsho just for this rice bowl. My friend got the Dan Dan Ramen which he said blew his mind. He was surprised by the lightness of the broth, which is unlike the Chinese Dan Dan which is usually made of heavy creamy sesame paste. He actually drank most of the broth, and didn't feel like he was cheating on his diet. Additionally, the design of the restaurant, from the layout to the choice of bowls and utensils reminded me of a certain 2-Michelin Star restaurant in Culver City. The service was bar none. The waitress was attentive and thoughtful, even getting us a glass of water after we had been sitting there for another hour after paying our check. We never felt rushed or pushed out. Five stars, period. Coming back for more.

At 6pm, we were only 1 of 2 parties; by 7:30pm, all the inside & outdoor patio tables were filled except for a couple. I ordered a diet coke, two orders of the eel sushi (each order comes with only two pieces!). I didn't feel four pieces of eel sushi was good value for $16. Oh how I wish I didn't have to walk through the kitchen to get to the restrooms. I didn't enjoy seeing the behind the scenes of it all. We came in on a rainy day thinking this would be a cozy sushi and ramen spot to warm up, and instead it turned into one of those experiences where you're annoyed before the food even hits the table. It was not busy at all when we walked in, and there were multiple empty tables in the front section. We were seated in the back and asked if we could sit in the front instead. We were told no because the roof was leaking. Okay, fine. We sit down near the sushi bar and immediately notice it is extremely warm. Like uncomfortable, stuffy, why is it this hot warm. We came to warm up with ramen, not feel like we were trapped in a heated room. I then noticed that none of the front tables we wanted to sit at actually had any water dripping on them, which already made the explanation feel questionable. About five minutes later, a party of four gets seated in that exact front area we were told we could not sit in. Nobody had left the restaurant. Nothing changed. That was already frustrating. We finally speak up again and say it is way too warm and ask if we can move to the front. Suddenly it is no problem at all. We get moved. No water leaking. Still raining outside. So what was the truth, because it clearly was not the roof. Now let's talk about the food, because this is a sushi and ramen bar and that should be the strong point. We ordered a couple of appetizers, a bento box, and a ramen. Everything was incredibly bland. Like shockingly flavorless. The sushi had no punch, the ramen had no depth, and the overall taste was just flat. It needed salt, seasoning, something. There was not even salt on the table, which honestly felt like a perfect summary of the entire meal. For the price point, this was extremely disappointing. The only reason this place is getting two stars instead of one is because of the staff who were actually working hard. The servers were attentive, quick, and clearly doing their best in an uncomfortable environment. You could tell they were on edge, but they were still on it and responsive whenever we needed something. That effort did not go unnoticed and they deserve credit. Without them, this would have easily been a one star experience. It also was not just me. I came with two other people and all of us felt the same way. We spent around one hundred dollars and walked out confused about how a sushi and ramen bar could miss the mark this badly on both comfort and flavor. Between the weird seating situation, the temperature issues, the noise, and the bland food, this is not a place I would return to or recommend. Two stars only for the staff. Everything else was a letdown.
