After a while, I just stopped asking and hoped nothing went wrong, which isn't exactly comforting when real money is involved. Once Chambers took over, that changed pretty quickly. Now when I have a question, I ask it and I get a real answer. Not days later. Not after following up multiple times. Just a normal, timely response like you would expect. It sounds basic, but it made a huge difference. What really stood out to me was how approachable they are. I've asked about lease stuff, tenant situations, random landlord questions, even things I probably should already know. I never felt rushed, brushed off, or made to feel dumb for asking. There were also times I reached out about things that weren't urgent at all or weren't technically their issue yet. They still helped me think it through and gave honest input. That was unexpected and genuinely appreciated. At this point, I don't feel like I'm guessing anymore. My priors manager's communication was terrible and to make things worse they were also unapologetic and unprofessional. I think the latter may have actually pissed me off more. After my frustrating experience, I spent a lot of time researching for a better property manager. After interviewing Kendra, I decided to switch to Chambers, and the difference has been unimaginable. Kendra and her team have been nothing short of amazing. They are incredibly professional, responsive, and genuinely make me feel valued as a client. Kendra's communication is excellent, she's quick to respond and always keeps me informed. The level of service she provides has given me peace of mind, something I desperately needed. I also appreciate having Chambers PM, specifically Kendra, to serve as a resource. My other properties are in Oakland and Walnut Creek, which is currently out of their service area, so I self-manage those rentals. And any time I have question about landlording or just need a second set of eyes on a tenant application, Kendra is willing to offer her expert advice, even though those properties aren't being managed by Chambers (yet! when/if they come to the Bay, those properties will be managed by Chambers.) My tenants are also much happier now. Kendra doesn't waste any time finding reliable tenants to fill vacancies whenever I may have one and her attention to detail has made property ownership stress-free. I feel very comfortable reaching out to her whenever any issues arise because I know she'll handle them promptly and effectively. The Chambers' team are a wonderful group who are truly engaged with their clients. Kendra's informative, has great communication skills, and goes above and beyond for her customers. Spenser asked if they videos could get shared with tenants and owner , I reluctantly emailed if you think that will help but be careful of our privacy. The Tenant problems got worse and I contacted IPS to find out what the solution was ? I then was told after they shared my video with the tenants and owners that IPS doesn't get involved in neighbor disputes. What ??? You should never have shared the videos to make the situation worse and then tell me you don't get involved in neighbor disputes. The agency set me up for more retaliation after I asked them to be sensitive to this group of "bullies" that your tenant belongs too. Don't trust they will do the right thing with their tenants instead of causing more trouble. I can't believe the answer to the problem is to put the problem back on my family. Very unprofessional with handling tenant issues. They make living by their tenants very uncomfortable. Shame on your agency for causing more problems after you said you would take care of problem.

Please be careful and consider a different apartment complex. If you live there for any substantial…read moreamount of time, make sure to consider the forms that the company has you sign regarding the granite. They ask you to sign a form that essentially puts you on the hook for anywhere between 3000 to 8000 up to $10,000 for the granite that is within your apartment. They try to make you feel like it is easy to maintain but the thing is that they use cheap granite which very easily stains over the years from minor water alone. Basically, you end up paying for poor quality granite that is bought in cheaper bulk by the leasing company contractors but then you end up having the granite staining over many years from normal wear and tear and get charged for very expensive granite. There have been a few people that tried to take the apartment complex to claims court when they were sent exorbitant charges upon move out but unfortunately, these tenants lost these cases . Although it is somewhat helpful to have pictures of the granite prior to leaving the apartment and upon initial inspection, it is inevitable in many cases that be able to maintain the granite long enough for you to not have even minor damage to the granite. To make matters worse the company will tell you that the bathroom and the kitchen as a set so even though you might have minor damage in one area you'll be required to replace the whole thing in both rooms which can cost many thousands of dollars please be careful and please do not sign those forms regarding the granites or consider getting a different apartment. Please stay away from this predatory leasing company.

Nice complex but you'll always feel like you're being watched or even get harassed at one point or another. Update: I received a notice to get rid of a service dog within 3 days or I'd be evicted out of the apartment. Since this review, the attitude of the front management changed drastically but just like everyone said, you see NONE of your deposit back plus I owe more after cleaning the house to the best of my ability. I moved to a different location and so much happier there overall.
