Ross Cupples, the owner, is wonderful to deal with. Ross is honest, professional and knowledgeable. You can immediately tell that Ross is a man with integrity who cares about his customers and wants them to be happy. Ross is hands down the best car dealer I have ever dealt with (new or used). Ross is not a high pressure salesman and made the entire buying process enjoyable. Since I was not close by I communicated with Ross mostly through email and, even though I'm sure he was busy with other customers, he would took the time to email me back very promptly and address any questions or concerns I had. From initial contact with Jeremy to getting connected with Pete to delivery, everything was smooth. Pete was especially awesome and didn't rush me as I crawled under the car and poked around everywhere to check out the car. Even during the test drive, he didn't try to upsell the car. Not to mention, despite not being a Jeep dealership, Pete graciously let me have my first rubber duck, complete with a beanie and sunglasses, and Pete was knowledgeable about the car and even showed us how to use the transfer case shifter. Very easygoing and no high pressure. Even though we came towards the very end of the day on a Friday, not a single person from this dealership that we interacted with had that "oh god we're almost closing and it's Friday and you're here so late" look (or at least if they did, we did not notice it at all!) that we've gotten before. The dealership was clean as well and extra clean bathrooms are always a nice plus. But I'm sure what you care about is price, and that's what brought us to this dealership in the first place too. The market analysis they showed us demonstrated that they really were at the cheapest end in terms of pricing.

Joe told us the credit union they use offered us an interest rate just over 7%. Can't remember exactly but it was less than 8%. It took some work to satisfy the finance company with some proofs of income and whatnot but all was settled and we went back for the car the following week. We thought Joe was a personable guy and liked him but that was to our detriment. We stupidly signed the financing paperwork trusting what he told us was correct. Later when setting up our payments to the finance company we realized the interest rate was not ~7% but 18%!! WTF?!?! If he had told us that or if we actually read the contract (which is our fault entirely) we would have never gone on with the purchase. We feel totally stupid for trusting this guy and are now paying the price. Literally. Read everything you sign. I know that should be obvious but we clearly didn't and it will cost us an extra $2500.

We paid a processing fee for them to do it for us- which they assured us they would handle. Not only did they not handle it, but I had to be the one to facilitate figuring it out after multiple texts and phone calls back-and-forth. If I hadn't reached out, who knows when they would have gotten around to it. This is both negligent and completely against the law. MA law states they have 7 calendar days to get it done. Our salesman repeatedly told me I was incorrect and it was 7 business days. If a dealership is not familiar with other state laws and rules, they have no business selling to those residents. We also left with the vehicle that Saturday being told they have everything that they needed to process. This was also incorrect and only rectified as I was the one texting back-and-forth with the salesman.... Sometimes days in between responses. Irwin has offered no solutions other than saying that they are "sorry for the frustration" and could provide a loaner car, expecting our new car to sit in the driveway until it was processed- no promised date. ...but couldn't expedite anything- even if they would be well over 2 weeks since purchase. We are essentially paying for a new vehicle we can't use, and could be cited for driving due to their inability to do their job. I requested my sales tax and their processing fee to be returned to me as I would register the car myself, and I was denied as supposedly it is already "processed" on their end, but they cannot tell me when they will actually complete it with the MA RMV.

When State Inspection was mandatory I was also told by this dealership that I would have to replace my front end to pass. I decided to get a few other quotes, since the repair was several thousand dollars. Every other mechanic I brought it to said my front end was fine, and Honda was just trying to rip me off.
