All I knew is that there was going to be food and wine for duration of an hour and a half and so I was super excited about that! Once our group of girls got seated in the trolley our host for the night explained what our tour was going to entail. We were going to visit ten local restaurants around old town Orange and enjoy different kinds of wines along the way. We each got our wine sippy cup and we were off! As we drove around Old town Orange I really enjoyed learning about the history of the city as well as learning about some of the historic sites. I actually live in Orange and I never knew that the center park was actually called the Plaza and not the circle. When we were ready to stop at the first place I was actually surprised that we didn't have to hop off but actually the restaurants brought the food to us in the Trolley! Each place gave us a small introduction of their food and business and gave us some small bites of some of their popular dishes. By the end of the tour I was pretty stuffed. I could not have asked for a better team to spend my wine tour with. Liz was funny, out-going, and always available to take a picture for you. We went to three wineries and each one had something special to offer. The lunch we had was exquisite. The brownie pairing with wine was amazing!!! My group had the turkey wraps, roast beef sandwiches, and the Cesar salad! Food kept us going as we sipped many great wines. It was still fun, but improvements are needed to make this the great event it has the potential to be. There are so many things right about this event. It's in a unique and fun location (Tustin Hangar where they used to house blimps). There are dozens and dozens of vendors and room for even more. On paper, it sounds pretty perfect. In reality, the event space was incredibly dark and a significant portion of the lights were out for part of the night (music disappeared too, so probably a power issue). Mood lighting is great, but you shouldn't have to get your face right up to the bottles of wine or plates of food to figure out what is being offered. Some areas had better lighting than others, but they really need to get lighting everywhere. Tea light candles don't cut it. The other major issue was that so many vendors packed up and left before the first or second hour. So if you passed something earlier thinking you'd go back and try it later, too bad! Props to Fresh Brothers and Piadina for having food up until the end of the event. With an event this large, it's just not possible to do it all within an hour (at least not if you want to enjoy it), so it's terrible that some restaurants were gone before an hour had passed. If you are thinking of purchasing a ticket, let this serve as a warning so you will be prepared and not disappointed as I was. It's still a good event, but it has so much more potential.

Each vendor provided water for you to rinse out your glass with before a new taste. Most of the food was to the right side of the room and the alcohol to the left side of the room. Although it is titled a food and wine festival, they had such a wide variety of food and alcohol. They were serving everything from wine and beer to sake bombs and shots of bourbon. As for food vendors they had plenty of options. They were serving poke, clam chowder, indian food, and so much more. Expect to be full 15 minutes in. The only critique I truly have for this event is the lighting. I think they were going for a darker ambiance but it was very difficult to read the vendors signs or even see what they were serving. It was so hard to take any photos or videos. All in all, it was a great event. I could definitely see myself coming back next year. If you get a chance to go, come with an empty stomach and comfortable shoes.

Pros: 1. They will pick you up from your hotel and drop you off afterwards. They are basically a fun designated driver for you. 2. You will have a lot of wine included for the ride. 3. In-between wineries our driver Joe gave us history and fun facts about Temecula and the wineries we were visiting. 4. Super unique experiences you wouldn't expect on a standard walk in tasting. We got to enter a cave, drink directly from a barrel, and see the production area of some wineries. Con: 1. The only con and it's nothing against the company. It's I just wish we had a little longer at each winery. However I also understand why we can't. We got picked up right at 11am and dropped off at 4:30pm. That was with an hour long stop at each winery. It just can be fun when all the tastings gave me 6 tastings. So you really have to down them quickly. Booked them for a Temecula Winery Tour and worked with Joseph planning how I wanted the day to look…read morelike. They have 3 wineries included in the tour which includes tastings at all of them. Our 1st stop was at Danza del Sol because they're the earliest that opens in the valley at 10:30am. Known for their whites, the Estate Sauvignon Blanc was my favorite there. They gave us a production tour before heading off to the next winery. Oak Mountain was everyone's least favorite. Sure, the cave tour was interesting, their charcuterie board was pleasant to the eyes and palate, though sadly, their wines were horrible. Lunch is not included in the package so I was able to choose where to go - Bolero at Europa Village. Reservations were made in advance, thanks, Joseph and he dropped us off there giving us about 1.5 hours before picking us up to continue with our tour next door. Our last stop for the day turned out to be my number one out of all the 3 wineries. Callaway has beautiful grounds, they have a more high end vibe, and the wines were better in quality relatively speaking. I enjoyed their 2019 Winemaker's Reserve Chardonnay, 2018 Wild Yeast Viognier, 2018 Wild Yeast Petite Sirah, and 2018 Wild Yeast Cab Sauv. I only wish we stayed outdoors to soak in the weather and scenery but the tasting was indoors so we hung out at the bar inside. We spent about an hour at each winery and by 3:30pm, we were ready to head back to OC. Joseph was a great guide all in all.
