Then I go to Christian brothers and they offer to do an inspection. No thanks Zimbrick just did one a bit ago Today. Later, an Employee comes out and says I have an oil leak and for $140 they can inspect for the problem. No thanks. After oil change I drive away and smell oil. Go to my cousin two miles away and we open the hood to oil spilled all over the engine. I drive back to Christian brothers and the mechanic admits his funnel burped and oil spilled. Didn't bother to clean it up until I took it back. Ends up there isn't an issue with an oil leak, it was the oil he spilled running down under the car.

Thankfully the vehicle is still in warranty phase so I took it back to Kayser in Sauk where they determined that no codes were stored and they performed a tire sensor relearn where all the sensors learn and are now showing the tire pressures again on the screen. I realize if there was no warranty, Christian Brothers may have changed out 2 perfectly fine sensors. Hhhmmm...

I showed up at 5:10pm for an oil change and was told they were closed and will not accept me. I double checked the website and it stated they closed at 8pm. Then told the manager the website says 8 and she corrected me to say it was 6pm. Still 50 minutes away! plenty of time to do my vehicle as there was no other cars in the shop. I had my car towed there on Monday to have a fuel issue addressed. It went well at first. I got…read more text saying my vehicle hadn't been looked at yet since a previous repair was taking longer. Then nothing until I get an emailed invoice that was not clear to me. I called to ask questions and even offered feedback about the info in the invoice. Was told that in his 15 years of running a shop, no one had every said they weren't clear. Well, ok then. I ok'd the work. Then I get a call the next day that in the process of replacing the fuel sensor, he cracked the fuel line. This was Friday afternoon around 2pm. They would quote it for me on Monday. I asked why it couldn't be quoted that day since it had already been there all week. They had previous plans. Ok. Monday comes, they quote was over $1000 for the fuel line and labor. My family are all mechanics but they live in Montana, a little too far to drive. Things happen when working on cars. BUT....they all said they would not charge labor and give the part to the customer at cost. If that didn't make them happy, they would not charge. I wasn't expecting it to be fixed for free but I also was not at fault that the fuel line was damaged. I told him I would just come get it. He asked if I realized it didn't run...smh. I had my car towed back home and had it fixed somewhere else for half that price. I decided to give a new shop a chance and keep it local. My mistake.
