Then I go to Christian brothers and they offer to do an inspection. No thanks Zimbrick just did one a bit ago Today. Later, an Employee comes out and says I have an oil leak and for $140 they can inspect for the problem. No thanks. After oil change I drive away and smell oil. Go to my cousin two miles away and we open the hood to oil spilled all over the engine. I drive back to Christian brothers and the mechanic admits his funnel burped and oil spilled. Didn't bother to clean it up until I took it back. Ends up there isn't an issue with an oil leak, it was the oil he spilled running down under the car.

We started going to what was Shuppe's Auto a few years ago, as I was tired of getting fleeced at…read morethe nearby Nissan dealership (I'd go in for one issue and it would take them multiple attempts/guesses to fix), and Shuppe's had many recs for their honesty and quality of work. Since then, we have taken multiple vehicles in, for everything from basic oil changes to suspension replacements. An anecdote: there was one time one of my control arms broke while driving and I had my car towed there. They looked into the issue, and Chris called me to let me know that Nissan would probably cover this under warranty, because there had been what was almost a recall, but you had to actually experience the problem first (they wouldn't replace them preventively). I didn't know about this, and they could have just diagnosed the issue and done the repair themselves, and I would have been none the wiser. Instead, they saved me hundreds of dollars. Their work has always been reasonably priced and completed to our satisfaction. I'm glad that Aaron, who had been operating as the main mechanic as it was, purchased the business and is continuing on as Syverson Automotive. I also really like the small shop feel -- if there's a question on the work done or recommended to be done, he's right there and you can actually talk to him. The only negative: it can take a bit to get in sometimes, so give them a call a couple weeks before you might want to be scheduled, if you can.

Being disabled & on limited income we needed someone to inspect the Jeep to know if it was safe to drive. Honesty is critical for vehicles when you are traveling on highways with your loved ones. We bought 5 vehicles during my marriage at 1 dealership where we experienced being lied to learning that dealership was telling us our jeep needed a new part that a second opinion told us that was not true. My neighbor told us of their mechanic being honest & not overcharging shared people were driving from other States to have him work on their vehicle. We learned their mechanic quit working for this same dealership but he was at their Madison Dealership shared with us he ethically & morally quit because this dealership owner was charging customers for repairs they did not need to keep money coming in to pay his payroll expenses validated our experience at this owner's second site scared us. He retired that we were looking for a new mechanic that Eagan's Automotive provided us with EXCELLENT SERVICE & were HONEST..... which we read on-line I am giving them my review as the REPAIRMAN you need to go for repairs. Apparently, after a visit to a local dealership for a routine check up and oil change about a month and half ago, the dealership failed to assemble my tires securely to my vehicle. That's what the noise was. Holy crap, right?! After the guys told me, they went back, securely fastened the tires to my vehicle and charged me nothing for it!! NOTHING!! I was expecting a ball joint, a wheel bearing, or something else was the issue and was going to cost me a decent amount. How's that for honesty? I know where I'm coming for any future auto issues. Its plastic, held on by plastic pop rivets. Its not like they changed the oil and rotated the tires. Then they wanted $371.43 to put a new one on. You can find them - new I might add, on e-bay for 50 bucks. I feel they took advantage of her because she is a woman and assumed she doesn't know any better. There are plenty of way better auto repair shops in the area who are honest, trustworthy and cheaper. I gave one star since 0 stars is not an option.

Here we were assured we would get a tail pipe and ended up with an ugly piece of left over exhaust pipe. Yes, they did try the up sell tactics. As I was traveling with two young girls to a scheduled event, I pulled into a gas station with a little time to spare to fill said tire, only to wake up the next day to a different tire on a rim and with a grateful heart that I didn't get it an accident because the reading was showing me the wrong tire.
