Guy was cool when he checked the car and diagnosed it quickly for $75. He was hard to understand, yet emailed quote for parts and labor quickly. We got a weird vibe because he seemed to be telling me one thing and my girlfriend another. We decided to stick with him anyhow, since he was on-time and mobile. After I bought the part and had it rush-shipped to save time (since his option was 3-week wait for part to be rebuilt), he didn't want to do the labor anymore. I called him to schedule the labor since he hadn't responded to emails/texts, he said he would not do the job then hung up on me. Good first impression but bad communication. I looked and looked for a mechanic willing to work on my 40 year old MGB. A neighbor recommended Mike. Mike is very knowledgeable and experienced has a long history of working on vintage cars and what impressed me the most was when he doesn't know the solution he will investigate and often present more than one option. Mike is a perfectionist and when he spots prior work that wasn't done right he points it out and recommends fixing it. Before beginning any work, he provides a detailed list of parts needed with prices and explain their purpose and why he recommends. If he finds additional work is necessary he informs and asks for approval before proceeding. The bottom line is my car is running better than when new and for a very fair price. read more

Mike is usually pretty busy but it's for a reason. He is the best mechanic we have had. He does a very thorough and professional job. Mike will explain and show everything he is doing, and why he is doing it. He will answer every question you have so no same, jus ask him. He worked on our Corolla, and will be setting up an appointment for our 4Runner. Our Corolla would not start so he recommended tow companies in case we were interested in towing before our appointment. We decided to just wait for him to be able to come to us. Totally worth it. Mike suggested replacing several things but help assure us they were just recommendations and were not immediate issues. We decided to just replace them anyway to keep our car healthy and happy. He puts quality parts into your car so you can be assured that it is being done the way it should be. He is amazingly knowledgeable and personable. Found Mike on the net and read the great reviews on him. Called him to check on my 2007 Ford Explorer. He arrived at ny place and checked out my vehicle. Gave me an estimate and immediately asked him to fix my vehicle. Even asked him to do other "small kine" repairs. Man was I impressed. Was sorta of a major repair, but he did it. Vehicle rruns great. I probably would have paid couple of grand if I went to the dealer, but not with Mike. If there were six stars to give, I would have given it.
