If your on yelp reading reviews about this place, your doing something I wish I did before I ate here. Food was not good at all for the base price they have you pay. Food looked like it was sitting there all day and not fresh at all. Ill be the first to say that I did not have a great time in the bathroom when I got home from this restaurant. The avocados on the sushi were oxidated, which should give you an idea about how long its been sitting there in the open. Little to no options to eat. Your better off eating Panda Express which is cheaper and more fresh than this place. Hibachi? Your better off spending a little more and getting your moneys worth at a better and more traditional japanese spot. The service was bare minimum and to top it off they force you to tip, even though everyone knows its optional. It was only two of us that ate and the total came out to $50 or so. By all means, if you would like to experience low tier "Japanese food" with barely any options to choose from, please come to Aki. This place is shameless.

    Rules

I don't recommend it here, the food was not quality, to begin the sushi was old, the rice was dry. The hot options seemed to be from the day before, they do not replenish the food between the day. I saw craw fish sitting in dirty water which was very disturbing. Then I noticed that they had a sign stating that you'd be charged for not finishing your meal, as someone who struggles with appetite this was very anxiety inducing because some days I just get full faster then others. And lastly, they force you to tip, or at least put you in a very uncomfortable position where you can't say NO. The lady asked me 15/20/25%? And shocked, I agreed to 15 but there is nothing worth tipping for. Do not recommend!!!!

If you want to fill your belly with decent sushi this is the place. It's clean, the amount of options are fresh and it's cheap for an all you can eat.

I wish i would have noticed the other reviews are from 2013-2016 Pretty sure I'll have food poisoning from the sashimi. Tuna looked good but after a couple Pieces i noticed pink color dripping down the plate. Came @8 pm And it was as if they had 2 of each roll that had been there from dinner at 5pm. Asked the to make a jb tempura roll which had been gone and they ignored us. Then they started to spray down the coolers which were directly in front of raw sushi and when i asked the cashier manager she was like no it's okay. dinner buffet is $22 but food poisoning is complimentary.

Great find. Lunch is $14.00 Has a good selection of sushi and hibachi made to order. Restaurant looks very clean and great service. Will definitely come back.

For the money, this is well worth stopping by. They don't rush you. They're super friendly and the sushi is fresh and they have a great assortment too. Just go!!!

We kicked things off with the miso soup, and it was absolutely delicious. Honestly, I could've had a bowl (or two) all by itself! let's not forget about the salad! And baby... you cannot eat that salad without drenching it in their ginger dressing. Chef's kiss! For our meals, we ordered the hibachi shrimp and steak with fried rice, and I went with the hibachi chicken with fried rice. One of my favorite parts about hibachi is the experience, and this chef had the entire table laughing from beginning to end. The food was great, but the entertainment made it even better. Because really... who doesn't love dinner and a show? To wash it all down, we ordered an Old Fashioned and a fruity sake cocktail (I wish I could remember the name because it was so good! ). The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, the service was quick, and it wasn't crowded, which was definitely a plus. The prices were also very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Overall, if you're looking for delicious hibachi, great service, and a fun dining experience while you're in Florida, I'd definitely recommend giving Japan Inn a try! I ordered the hibachi steak with fried rice, specifically asking for the rice extra crispy. I even reminded the waitress because I had a feeling it wouldn't come out that way. Sure enough, when it arrived, the rice wasn't crispy at all... just like the regular side I've had before. They took it back, and there I was waiting longer for my food. Then things took a turn. On one of my last bites of the fried rice, something literally poked my mouth. When I pulled it out, it was a long, thin wooden stick! almost like a toothpick, but not exactly. A wooden stick in my food? That instantly made me uncomfortable. What felt completely intentional due to the previous request, had me fearing for my safety! At that point, I just lost my appetite completely. I didn't even bother saying anything because I honestly didn't feel at ease anymore. I will NOT be returning.

The service was the bare minimum of hi, how are you, what do you want, and here you go. No pizzazz or anything memorable. Then the food. The food? Meh. I had actually arrived thinking that there was a happy hour or an all you can eat option, but neither existed, even after I researched online extensively, so that was a huge disappointment. I had to search hard to find rolls that weren't laid full of cream cheese, which, to me, essentially means "here is a roll with cream cheese to mask all of the icks flavors of the subpar fish that we are actually serving you and do not want you to be aware!" I ordered some nigiri, which tasted old, not fresh and on rice not treated correctly. Need I remind the YELP! Community??? Sushi is actually referring to the treatment of the sushi RICE and NOT the fish or ingredients on the nigiri or roll! So in this sense, Miyako Doral FAILED. I will admit, that this was one of the first sushi places that I had gone to when I first moved to Miami, not knowing the abysmal notion of what sushi is interpreted to mean here in south Florida. YUCK. Thank you for letting me know. SUSHI HERE SUCKS! Unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for true, pure and traditional types like at Omakai, ELYU or Shingo. Just. YUCK. It's wonderful because their entire digital menu has pictures which I appreciate SO much! We ordered the sampler for 2 (sushi pizza and croquettes), the 101 roll and the volcano roll. So, even though we ordered the sampler for 2, they brought us the sampler for 4 (which is $56). Because they already brought it to our table, we didnt want to waste anything and chose not to correct them. I'm not entirely sure how they got this wrong. However, everything was delicious. I was leery about the Asian crunch, but the walnuts added a nice mild earthy flavor to the tender salmon. The coquitos were very unique. I've never had fish and curry mustard before. The sushi pizza was fresh and crispy and the croquettes were tasty. While I won't complain about the flavors because everything was delicious, I will complain about the price point we didnt intend on spending. The 101 roll was unlike anything we've had before. A wonderful option for someone who doesnt want to go too heavy on carbs. I dont know how a plantain pairs with salmon and tempura shrimp, but it just works. A little salty, a little sweet, and a decent sized roll. The volcano roll is quite the attention grabber! Piled high with krab salad it turns a basic volcano roll into an extraordinary one. The Kani is fried which doesn't usually happen with volcano rolls and avocado is added to the top. Its a great twist on a classic and the textures are wonderful. Unfortunately, no one came to check on us during the duration of this meal, so it's a good thing we didn't need anything else. For an app, two rolls and 2 cans of diet coke, the total came to over $100. The price point is the only thing keeping me from giving this establishment 5 stars. I would give it 4.5 if Yelp allowed me because the quality is great as are the portion sizes.
