I brought my elderly cat in when she wasn't feeling well and it took days and several times of me contacting them and before they told me they didn't know what was wrong and wanted me to pay to have the tests done again. When I called with a question they told me I had to be seen today for $150 and when I said I didn't think it was that serious. I just had a question she rudely told me they didn't have anything available and I should just go to an emergency vet. Then I tied to make an appointment for a later date and she was so extremely rude I just told her it's okay. I'm going to find someone else. Another instance I had a problem with them was when I brought in my cat who kept throwing up and I was worried. They said "he's fine!" After charging me hundreds for bloodwork. A week or so later he got worse and I took him to an emergency vet and they took x rays and he had a bowel obstruction! The only good thing about this place is a few of the vet techs are sweet and you can tell they care about your pets.

We usually see Dr. Butera, who is great, but on this day, Dr. Butera was not in so we had to see Dr. "Toni." Before this vet even came in the room to my cat, the vet tech said bloodwork was needed. I said, no, she's dying, I just want her to get relief to get her to home euthanasia. Nope, the vet came in the room and raised her voice and I politely asked her to lower her voice Said she will be treat without blood work. I felt I had no choice and was held hostage to get my cat treated, so I agreed. Well, bloodwork came back okay. She then gave a steroid injection and antibiotic injection. We took our kitty home an she made it just a few more weeks and today we took her a new vet. This new vet really examined our cat and informed of many more things going on. The decision was made that today was the day we let her go... What I didn't say, is that I did call and speak to the practice manager. She took notes and said she'd get back to me. I did ask for a refund. Well, she called me back and no refund because I agreed to the bloodwork. I said you are not listening to me. I had no choice. Well, I'm no longer going to Mogadore vet and I'm telling anyone I can how poorly I was treated. Seriously reconsider getting vet care at Mogadore Vet. They are all about the money and not compassion.

To be told someone was supposed to call me, they were also supposed to call on a scheduled follow up on Weds but that never came. I have been worried if she was allergic or something was going on from days of panting. What I was told after the 10th call was that she will need to come in for an x-ray.. REALLY?! An X-ray. That couldn't have been communicated days before as I sit around helpless. All these calls are me reaching out to them and 0 calls in return Very upsetting. She was not the best patient I am sure of, but the staff was able to do everything they could with getting her vaccines and applying her worm medication. They even trimmed her nails! I know this cost extra, but I was just so thrilled about them doing everything they could for her. If you are going to own a pet, you cannot cry about the bill. All of them are exemplars of compassion and competence. The staff is also wonderful, and never have any of them been impatient or anything but courteous. Half the year my husband and I live in New Orleans and while my vet at the Cat Practice is lovely, care there is much more expensive. The prices the 85 year old lady quoted are reasonable, expecially considering she wanted her cat that had never been seen before, to get emergency service. You couldn't call a pediatrician off hours to see your child who had never seen him/her before; if it's really an emergency then you take them to the emergency room. Sorry; I'm feeling a bit indignant anyone would demean my beloved vets and staff!
