Very unassuming looking, hole in a wall café that surprises with great flavors. The prices are very reasonable and portions filling, so you will leave full and not broke. Always a lot of people eating in/getting take out, so you know the food is fresh. Service is respectful. You won't be rushed to finish your meal, even when you're taking a long time to talk with your friends over one bowl of lentil soup. The, Lentil soup $5, by the way, is hearty and a great choice for colder months. Shephard's pie [$5, $7 medium, $10 large] is simple, just tomatoes, cucumbers, and feta, so I'd skip because I can make better myself, but if you're craving a simple salad, this could work. The turkish bread become stale quickly, so I prefer their pitas [complementary for meat dishes]. Calves Liver $10 portion is not big, more to tease your appetite. Pretty well done if you enjoy liver. Babaghanous $5 is delicious--one of the best in all Brooklyn, definitely get it. Mixed grill karisik $24, the most expensive item on the menu, is good to share for two, if you're also getting appetizers in addition. The portion includes rice, cabbage salad, a haljapeno, gyro, adana kebab, and shish kebab. The meats are well prepared, so any meat lover will be happy with this choice.

Clearly can see where I have no tomato requested in 2 areas.

I'm incredibly disappointed with todays order. They have a modification section that lets you select things to remove off of the sandwich and a notes section as well. I made sure to click their modification to remove tomatoes as well as the extra step of putting it in the note because I have a tomato allergy and they still put it in. Thankfully I saw it before biting it which would have been very dangerous.

We haven't been in here in a while but it was a pleasant surprise. The establishment had made updates and changes and its sitting area increased 2X. The establishment was clean, the staff was extremely polite and friendly. The food as always was fresh and tasty; and right portion. The prices are very reasonable.

Good red lentil soup. Shawarma salt.( Need more white sauce ) Clean please. Good Turkish tea

Dry/not fresh? absolutely disgusting lahmacun without salad which they forgot to put in my order

Just received my order. Big disappointment. They didn't put salad (tomatoes onions parsley cabbage, lemon) which goes to lahmacun and when I called they refused to bring it and offered free salad next time :) Thank you but no. Also ketchup packs were dirty with ketchup and sugar from baklava. I tried to eat lahmacun without salad and it was not eatable at all. Pitas for babaganush and haydari were not fresh. Chicken sandwich also had weird taste. This order will definitely turn me off Turkish food for a while:/ Update. Just tried baklava. I hope at least this would be good! But no! It tastes like it boiled and row instead of backed and crispy!! Wow! Just wow! All order. Literally all order went to the garbage

    Yummy lentil soup and bread!

This spot stays open 24/7!!!! They also have a lunch special during the day! Their bread is amazing! I love their lentil soup!!! I've tried other dishes but my go to is their lentil soup! The staff are always pleasant!

Chicken Soup [B+]: Reminds me of Avgolemono without lemon.

Chicken Soup: B+ Slightly tangy, almost like Avgolemono. Very slightly spicy. Made from chicken breast and rice. It's almost a creamy soup. Reminds me of Avgolemono without lemon.

    24/7!?!

The food here is very good. I love their Islander and baked pudding. Also I ordered the mixed app, everything was fresh and tasty.

A simple kosher deli through and through…read more After stepping out of my comfort zone the last few times, I decided to go back to basics with the Jewish holidays approaching and the reopening of the Carnegie Deli. This is the food I grew up eating, so I take it seriously when I try this kind of food; it checks all the boxes. No, it is not cheap, but you get a nice amount of food to justify the cost. To start, a plate of pickles and cup of coleslaw is an excellent way to start. That is the Jewish equivalent to getting free bread at an Italian restaurant, or a basket of chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant. It is a must if you want to satiate your customers. The matzo ball soup is adequate for what comes in it. One matzo ball, but some carrots and noodles help make it more. The chicken broth is hearty and full of flavor. This is the perfect soup for when the weather gets colder. I finished with a Triple Decker of pastrami, corned beef, and tongue. All the meats tasted fresh and delicious, not too overstuffed, and the topping of coleslaw and Russian dressing created a nice cooling balance from the salty meat. The real kicker? Seedless rye! Thank goodness for the seedless rye! That is how you treat customers who have issues digesting seeds. Sorry Bobby Hill, you will not find pictures of celebrities on the walls of this deli. You will just find vintage seating, and good old fashioned flavors the way you knew and grew up eating. That is at least how I felt while eating here. I am happy I got to stop by, and look forward to coming back for more.

This is not how this is done. You run the bill through and you bring me the credit card receipt to sign and add the tip . With their prices being sky high, it's bad enough you're charging an additional 3% use a credit card now you're gonna put the 3% surcharge on the tip as well
