    Chicken gyro platter
    Lori R.

The food was very good and freshly made to order. There were some tables available for dining in. The portions were very generous. Lots of items to choose from including Gyros and barbecued platters and more traditional platters. I had the Gyro platter with chicken. It was very tasty and served with Basmati rice, salsa and fries. My husband had the lamb gyro which was also a good choice. Overall good food, friendly service and good value.

The service is warm, friendly, and prompt. The food is affordable and has provided some of my favorite meals I've ever had. You cannot beat this place. Al Kababi is a hidden gem you need to try. As a customer, you feel remembered and valued, which adds to the ambiance. I cannot praise this place enough, please try it and see for yourself.

Great Authentic Karachi style food. Great taste, reasonable price, staff is real nice especially the owner (Amir bhai). Will definitely come back

    The so-called Gyro

my sister and I were craving Gyro's. We stumbled upon this place. We ordered a chicken platter, Gyro and a lamb platter. Gyro. We were assuming that they would come in naan as that is the definition of a Gyro, but upon receiving the food, it was just rice the meat and salad there was no naan. after we complained and said that we misunderstood. She bought out a Gyro that was basically a Wrap when we explained to her that we were expecting a platter. She said this is a Pakistani restaurant and this is our definition. The customer does not know the Pakistani Mexican Indian Bangladeshi version of anything when they read the word Gyro. They know what that stand stands for it could've been an easy fix she could have given my sister what she asked for but instead she continue to tell us that this is a Pakistani restaurant. We are very disappointed and will not be coming back and the food was not that tasty anyway. I'm gonna put a picture.

The line moved quickly, and I ordered an 8-piece family meal with 2 sides, 2 dinner rolls, 2 tortilla's and a drink for $31.89 + 1 Regular drink $3.10 + tax $3.11 totaled $38.10 -- honestly, excellent value for under $40. Only downside: they only had legs and thighs available. Luckily, those are my favorite pieces, so no complaints here (KFC would never... LOL). I tried both the fried and baked chicken -- both were seasoned really well and very tasty. The yuca fries were a fun change from regular fries, and I enjoyed them. For my drink, I tried the "Jamaica" flavor which I think is similar to sorrel. It wasn't very sweet -- more on the tart side -- but refreshing. I tried the Horchata and Mango drinks, but Jamaica was my favorite. Overall, a good first experience. Delicious food, good value, and I'll definitely be back to try more.

So I opted to go inside - it was much better - 2 cashiers who kept the line moving - the mango drink ran out When I mentioned it they said they would have more made but it may be a while so I missed out on that - coupons had been sent to me prior to opening so I ended up pay $16 for a 4 piece meal with 3 sides and a tortilla the roasted chicken is really good - I wasn't a fan of the fried chicken - I'll be back to give it another try when the crowds lessen -

First of let me just say , this time I came solo and left with friends soo HELLOOO SINGLES..Pull up lol The first time I came was for a birthday party. About 25 people (the restaurant has around 10-12 tables) The jerk chicken tacos amazinggg! (Comes with 2 and it's packed with meat) The oxtail empanadas packed withhhh oxtail sooo good. The fritterssss OMG idk how they get it sooo crispy on the outside and then legit melt in your mouth when you bite in . Not doughyyy . You get all the fish. Delicious. Not to mention the green sauce it comes with . Great addition . I was not expecting it to taste this good (PS. It says It has scotch bonnet it but I don't taste it aka it's not spicy) The wingssss... sheesh the jerk! For my caribbeans it's real jerk don't worry! Island BBQ is sooo good. My daughter tore that up so kid friendly for the picky eating youngins The catch of the day ..snapper. Again balanced with a perfect crunch and yet a delicate flake Short Ribs had great flavor. And very tender. I was so full I didn't finish it . When I went to reheat it the next day. I poured that gravy over it and it was just as delish I'm back now for ALL DAY SUNDAY BRUNCH Shannon's my server and she was super attentive and helpful! Came back for the fritters! Don't know how it was even better but it was ! Grits (a lil salty) but for one who usually has to ask for salt/pepper/butter/cheese to make it taste how I want...I will say I needed nothing extra Chicken and waffles ...you guessed it crunchy on the outside and perfect on the inside . They master the art of texture! And these wings were hugeee . Overall. You won't leave disappointed . Great music, but still a calm chill atmosphere . It's not loud so you don't have to worry about yelling across the table. Open kitchen so you can see the chefs at work . Four tvs for sports games. About 5 seats at the bar. See you soon

Pollo Campero expanding with this very spacious bright location…read more It's all about the chicken and being able to select your Crispy deliciously seasoned Breast, Drums, Thighs. Can't compare this with fast food locations like Popeyes, but can draw similarities to say an old school Boston Market that no longer really exists on L.I. You get an option of a side or a few but more homey to the Latin cultural roots of this chain. Therefore instead of ordering say mashed potatoes you can order Yuca Fries :) which are a healthier version believe or not, with just a slightly starcher root vegetable texture. On this outing to try the new location we opted for the 2 piece Drum Thigh with one side (slaw) drink and dinner roll, and added two Breasts and the Yuca Fries. All were made hot and fresh and served to our table by a friendly counter server, family style in large festive plate (w/side plates, disposable utensils). The flavorful chicken was great, yuca fries yummy and the slaw was definitely worth trying since their recipe tastes different than others. Pricing was more than fair for what we ordered, and I would consider definitely going back to try more of their menu items, as well as recommending others to give them a try. If you're not in this area to give them a try, I believe you can spot them at Penn Station. ;)

The meal includes 8 pieces of leg and thigh, 4 rolls, and 2 sides--we chose yucca fries and mac & cheese. I had takeout from a previous Yelp event, so I didn't expect dine-in service, but they gave us a table number and brought the food out to us. They also provided melamine plates, which was a nice surprise and made the meal feel more dine-in than fast-casual. When I the staff member about takeout containers, she misunderstood and immediately brought them over with a bag--honestly, super helpful. Service was outstanding. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. The chicken was crispy and full of flavor. My son loved the yucca fries and rolls. I especially enjoyed the mac & cheese and chicken. We also tried the jamaica and horchata drinks (not included in the meal), and both were excellent. I wish I had a Pollo Campero near me--but maybe it's for the best, or I'd be here all the time!

My husband loved his spicy chicken sandwich and still talks about it. The spice level, quality of the chicken, and inclusion of avocado were great for him. My son and I got the chicken tenders which I thought were very good quality and flavored well for fast food chicken. The fries were not good, really boring and not flavored at all. The macaroni and cheese flavoring was also just not good and I wouldn't get it again. The cheese tasted artificial. Service was a little slow at the drive-thru but maybe that shows the food is a little fresher than other takeout options. This team clearly shows what working together is all about along with this respect for the clients who come in. I had been coming to PDQ for a while until they changed this shop to Chick & Tender. The food, service and atmosphrre remained very similar except for their food additions. They added fries and chicken wings as well as some sandwiches. This store is centrally located right on Old Country Road in front of Walmart. There is plenty of parking in this very large lot with a very easy in and out. The store is very big with plenty of eating space both inside and out. They have a very large drive through service and will always see a team of people outside trying to help the line move a little quicker. It's an easy ordering system. I go to the counter, tell the team members what I am looking for, sit and wait just a few minutes. They work very quickly here. I have had the very delicious tenders and on this visit, wings. My wife had a delicious sandwich. Tenders are crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside and wings (while I like hem dry, were crispy and tasty.
