    Complimentary Sweet potato

Wow! What gem located in the solaz resort. The patio style restaurant and bar is located beyond the non contact checkout desk. The food high end superb! The servings are very "high end" small in portion but you wouldn't know it because I'm leaving fully stuffed. But it may have been the bread or tortilla. We started with a complimentary sweet potato then moved on the the short rib and octopus tortilla. I enjoyed the snapper die yak and my guest had the cochininllo- which was superb!! The outside crispy and the inside melt in your mouth delectable. I gave them 4 stars because the waiter forgot my lime I requested and made us wait for our margaritas. Work out that one kink and you'd get 5 stars. Overall- amazing food.

Don't sleep on this great restaurant if you're staying at Solaz. It's got a fantastic view of the ocean from the elevated open seating area. Food was excellent but the real winner was the mushroom bread from the bread basket. Soooo good. Could have ate a few more of those. Definitely get the churro dessert with the hot chocolate pour over!

When we stayed at Solaz, everyone recommended the Italian restaurant. That is a mistake!! Al Pairo has far better food and sunset views -- if you're only here for one night, this is the dinner spot you want to pick. The food is beautifully flavored and presented. The duck and rice I ordered was a favorite for its perfect balance of tangy and sweet; it's still one of my favorite risotto-style dishes I've tried to date. There are also some pretty inventive dishes, like the chowder we had with a big pastry cover. Dined: January 2020

    Chocolate master class

Breakfast: included with our stay for only an extra $30. Many delicious and healthy selections. I had two smoothie bowls. One was an energy bowl which was packed with delicious fruit, chia seeds and yogurt. Another was the tropical smoothie bowl which was delicious as well. The crunchy brioche French toast was ONE OF A KIND! The brioche is made in house so it was super fluffy, moist, and perfectly crispy on the outside. It was served with delicious whipped cream and I didn't even need the syrup. Chocolate master class: they offer a one hour chocolate master class that was fascinating. The pastry chef is very well educated and talented with his chocolate making. We took back a load of chocolate to eat which we hand made during the class. This was absolutely the highlight of my trip! Loved this class and well worth it!

It's my birthday week, and since we're staying at Solaz, we saved this Michelin restaurant for my birthday dinner.

Truly the best oysters and red snapper I've had in my life. The view is icing on the cake and we were completely blown away by this restaurant. Hearing the waves crash on the beach while we ate was such a magical experience. We felt so lucky to have this be the last dinner we had in Cabo. Thank you for an amazing experience!!!

We were able to land reservations right before sunset since we put notifications on and responded right away. We were seated right at the edge, which gave me an unobstructed view of the ocean! Coupled with the view was live music streaming throughout. What was ordered: Redsnack Mocktail - Liked the sweet and salty meld of flavors Fresh Oysters - Smooth, meaty, & fresh! Street Corn - Corn ribs with great seasoning Mashed Potato - Creamy and garlic forward Grilled Seasnapper - Amazing! Totally recommend that you split this! Stingray Empanadas - Comes in a box which was a fun way to present this dish! Customer service was on point and they even offered me a blanket because it was starting to get chilly at night! They even offered to take our picture in the waiting area and are always checking on us to see if we needed anything. Absolutely loved this experience!

Ordering was a little challenging not speaking Spanish very well but we managed. We ordered the Tuna carpaccio, the "LA MAREA "SPECIAL ceviche and a Caesar salad to start. All excellent. Then we each ordered tacos. Pastor, octopus, and shrimp. All was excellent. We also got mojitos which our server had never made before but she did a great job. All the workers were very friendly. Shout out to our server Joanne. This place was highly recommended by our concierge Edgar at the Hyatt. He raved over this place. We all enjoyed it.

We ordered a few breakfast items and waited until 12:30 to order the things we wanted. I ordered the governor tacos and my friend ordered the seafood pasta. We also had the ceviche. It was okay. Everything I had here was fairly mid. The tacos were not my favorite... So much that I didn't even eat it. The server was nice but didn't speak English so I had trouble communicating with her (but not her fault since I'm the one in Mexico!) - so not as tourist friendly as some of the places in town center or by the resorts.

It is gorgeous here and is reminiscent of the 80's with jazz music playing close to the beach. The Sea Grill is so chill and elegant at the same time and SUPER fancy!! Our waiter is very knowledgeable about fish and he knows what is gluten free and cheese free. We have homemade gluten free bread to start our exquisite meal! The amberjack crudo is deliciously refreshing. We ordered a bottle of Flowers Chardonnay and it was 4 times the price in California. Pretty crazy but it's kind of like being in Vegas where everything is super jacked. I had the octopus which had a pineapple glaze which is weirdly inventive. It was a little too slimy for me but bf liked it. I wanted his grilled prawn which he shared a lot of with me. It was A+ We were stuffed but they brought me a trifecta of sorbets for my birthday. We also ordered gluten free flan. I'm soooo fullllll We had a gorgeous view and watched the sunset then the sky turned a magnificent color that was worth the price of admission!
