This is one of these restaurants that you need to try once in your life! The views alone are stunning, especially at sunset. We were able to land reservations right before sunset since we put notifications on and responded right away. We were seated right at the edge, which gave me an unobstructed view of the ocean! Coupled with the view was live music streaming throughout. What was ordered: Redsnack Mocktail - Liked the sweet and salty meld of flavors Fresh Oysters - Smooth, meaty, & fresh! Street Corn - Corn ribs with great seasoning Mashed Potato - Creamy and garlic forward Grilled Seasnapper - Amazing! Totally recommend that you split this! Stingray Empanadas - Comes in a box which was a fun way to present this dish! Customer service was on point and they even offered me a blanket because it was starting to get chilly at night! They even offered to take our picture in the waiting area and are always checking on us to see if we needed anything. Absolutely loved this experience!
Santiago our server was wonderful and knowledgeable, I really enjoyed my visit here. We went for a birthday dinner and everything about this place is just pure perfection, the view, the breeze, the food, the service. If you get a chance to visit, make sure you give their lychee martinis a try, totally worth every penny spent!
Spectacular! Cabo never fails and provides culinary excellence. Cocina del mar is a must visit when in Cabo. Book a seat outside and soak up the vibes prior to dinner and hit the bar upstairs or downstairs to enjoy the views. We came on a late night and it was close to pitch dark (8:30 pm) on a late summer night and wished we came before sunset. The cocktails are handcrafted with love and very unique. The menu isn't large but you will surely be surprised by the flavors and depth it can bring. There is something for everyone on the menu! Also, the portion sizes are large but not small either. Perfect to grab a few things on the menu and leave satisfied. This was a pricy menu but on America, it would have been the same price as a nice date night at a high end steakhouse. The entire staff is amazing, kind and attentive. If you speak English, don't worry because they do too. The restaurant is located off the Esperanza Resorts and a beautiful property. I can say enough about how great this is so you will just have to come and try it yourself.
An experience of a lifetime! We celebrated our friends 30th anniversary at Cocina Del Mar and it was spectacular. The view, the property, the ocean waves, the staff and the FOOD is something we will never forget. After cocktails at the bar we enjoyed the filet, shrimp, grilled octopus, elote and the chocolate cake with banana ice cream. Everything was delicious but that elote is something I will dream about. The corn ribs were grilled to perfection, seasoned, and included the best mayo, lime, spicy sauce. OMG make your reservations well in advance and try it for yourself!
The best place to review 1st for 2026! I was searching for really nice restaurants for dinner with an amazing view and this place was on that list! They absolutely didn't disappoint me! Due to it being New Year's Eve and Day I believe reservations were a little harder to come by, but I was able to snag a resy on 1/1/26 for 745pm. Leave it to me to still run late! We arrived at 830. But they still accommodated us and treated us like royalty! From the valet parking to the escorted entrances, they provide a true 5 star experience! We got a beautiful view, in a well lit adult only area, which we appreciated. The servers were AMAZING! We ordered various items: Margaritas, grilled oysters, new york strip, chicken, garlic mash. The grilled oysters are now living rent free in my head! I woke up craving them. They were the best oysters I've ever had in my life! I have to have more of them before I leave here! Delicious! The chicken was cooked perfectly, but was a little bland to taste. The steak was good. Garlic mash was delicious. Margaritas were perfect. Unfortunately, we wanted a few other items that were sold out for the evening! Hopefully they'll be available when we venture back! This was the perfect way to bring in our New Year! Happy New Year everyone!!!
In the week my family has spent in Cabo San Lucas, Cocina Del Mar has unanimously been our favorite restaurant. The gorgeous view, the wonderful staff, and the amazing food made each of our meals a magical experience. When my daughter-in-law informed our server that she is allergic to shellfish, he gave her options to some of the menu items (the shrimp was served separately in our order of shrimp Mac & cheese) and assured her that her food was safe. We ordered: Pan Seared Totoaba (fish) - my husband said it was the best fish he's ever had! Catch of the Day - Sea Bass - it was incredible! Red Snapper - my son said it was the best fish he's ever had! Prime Beef Filet - my daughter-in-law said it was the best filet she's ever had. The slices of vermouth-soaked pears were delicious! We shared the Grilled oysters, Mac & Shrimp, Street Corn, and Mashed Potatoes. The only imperfection was the 40+ minute wait for our desserts to arrive. Just as we were thinking about canceling our dessert orders, a manager came to apologize for the delay and comped the cost of our desserts, which were actually so good that we decided it was worth the wait! We had the buffet breakfast at this same restaurant and it was also a 5 star experience!!
This was the restaurant of my DREAMS! I saw Cocina Del Mar all over social media and had to come here during my trip to Cabo. The restaurant is located at the Esperanza hotel and upon arriving to the restaurant, we were greeted by the gorgeous sunset view over looking the ocean. I took so many photos and videos of the view because I couldn't get over how gorgeous it was. Seeing the view was definitely a core memory for me and will hold such a special place in my heart. Now onto the restaurant, it's located on a sea cliff overlooking the ocean. All you can hear are the waves crashing against the rocks. We ordered the strawberry salad, stingray empanadas and grilled octopus. I can't recommend the stingray empanadas and grilled octopus enough! The grilled octopus was perfectly snappy and the fire roasted sauce paired perfectly with it. The stingray empanadas were also very unique. I've never had something like that before. The service was excellent and I would love to come back here one day!
Beautiful restaurant located at the Esperanza Hotel. I saw many videos on social media and wanted to try for the views. We were seated outside just as the sun was setting. Many opportunities to take photos and the ambience is perfecto. We ordered the a couple cocktails, burrata, oysters, sautéed shrimp and sweet potato fries. Service was really friendly and attentive. Just be warned that it is pricey. Well worth the trip and experience.
This restaurant is absolutely stunning. From the moment you step foot on the property, it's hard not to be blown away by all the beautiful details. The views are stunning from any seat. It was a hot day, but there was plenty of shade. Service was phenomenal as well. Even the hostess was amazingly accommodating and helpful. All the food was beautifully presented and delicious. The shrimp ceviche was so fresh and had amazing flavor. It's a shame this place isn't closer to home. So happy to have gotten to come here!
Ambiance 10/10 You cant beat this view, especially during sunset. If it low tide they let you sit by the bottom. If its high tide they keep you seated on top. Ladies if you want an amazing picture, do a slick back or a tight hair style bc the wind is wild lol!! Drinks 9/10 Had a mezcal old fashion and a tajin cocktail. Both impressive in taste but think the presentation could be better.. Food 8/10 -Appetizer we had oysters, coming from someone who is extremely picky with oysters I really enjoyed these. -Main entrée had the steak with potato puree. Asked for medium rare, it came out medium. The meat was dense and was not a fan of the sauce they added on top... the fig toppings were nice though. -Side dish we had a lobster mac n cheese. This was thick and creamy. The pasta to lobster ratio was good. -Dessert: tres leches with ice cream. This was 10/10. Im lactose and still ate the ice cream lol. Overall if I were to go again I would just go for a drink ,oysters and a dessert.
This is a dreamy location to have the most romantic dinner! I had just proposed at a private location at the resort and the dinner was part of the experience. The waiter was very kind and we got our food quickly. The chicken was delicious and very tender. They also provided complementary dessert for her birthday and to celebrate our engagement! Overall fantastic experience and I know it is popular all over tiktok but very much well worth its reputation!
Absolutely stunning view! You get transported to a magical place once you're seated whether that's by the beautiful bar or right by the coast of Cabo by the cobblestone seating. The lunch we had was delicious we shared the Gyro flatbread that had amazing flavor. I enjoyed the espresso martini the MOST! Hands down the best espresso martini i have ever had in my life to this day. That's saying something since I have had plenty in my lifetime. The other drinks one the menu such as the margarita hit the spot as well and they are open to offer a different drink if you taste is different than what they offer. Our waiter was delightful and open to discuss our trip to cabo as well as recommending us to different parts to explore. I enjoyed the scenery and the service we would love to come back and almost did a second time before leaving but couldn't make it however it'll just make us even more eager to come back so soon!
The views and the food were phenomenal. The fish was so fresh and the flavors were all super local and put together well. The team's attention to detail is done so well! Loved the fireworks show in the middle as well.

We celebrated my birthday at Cocina Del Mar in Cabo, and it was truly an unforgettable dining experience! The views are absolutely breathtaking! Honestly, nothing like I've ever experienced while dining at a restaurant. We were able to watch the sunset over the water, and the entire setting was just beautiful. The food was very good. We ordered the steak, shrimp macaroni and cheese, and the stingray empanadas. The empanadas had a very unique flavor. They weren't bad at all, and I'm glad I tried them for the experience, but they probably wouldn't be something I would order again. Our waiter was wonderful and even offered to take pictures of us, which I really appreciated, especially since we were celebrating my birthday. They also brought me a special birthday dessert, which was such a nice touch. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with our experience. Between the breathtaking views, sunset, food, service, and atmosphere, Cocina Del Mar made my birthday feel incredibly special. I had a fabulous birthday dinner with absolutely no complaints. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Cabo, especially if you've never been. It's more than just dinner, it's truly an experience! read more

First of all - 1000000/10 for Miguel our server. I think he may be the best server in all of Mexico :) Beyond the five star service, the food was incredible. Truly the best oysters and red snapper I've had in my life. The view is icing on the cake and we were completely blown away by this restaurant. Hearing the waves crash on the beach while we ate was such a magical experience. We felt so lucky to have this be the last dinner we had in Cabo. Thank you for an amazing experience!!! read more

Booked this dinner for our last night and it was so worth it! Although the price was pretty high, the views, service, and food did make up for it. Our server was very kind and made the experience even better for us! Definitely a spot worth checking out and reserving when in cabo. Every dish was cooked perfectly, the desserts were wonderful and he even gave us a complimentary dessert as well! Would definitely be back for a special occasion read more
Cocina del Mar in Cabo was awesome with unreal ocean views and a super relaxed vibe. The food was fresh and everything tasted great. I'd suggest the gnocchi and chicken. Service is unreal similar to all the restaurants in Esperanza. read more

The view and ambiance of this place were phenomenal. You can't take that way from this restaurant. The servers were also lovely, super kind and attentive to my group (5). The food though, was not worth the price. Since it's Mexico, water was not free, so each bottle was $9 USD. The ceviche was just 5 shrimp lightly stuffed with a mayo based cream. While I like shrimp it was NOT ceviche and for the price was severely disappointed. The chicken with risotto was the best dish we tried, and definitely recommend The sourdough balls they provide are delicious though! read more

Everything was perfect. Amazing place, delicious and fresh food, formidable experience. We went to celebrate a birthday and we had a great time. The service was great. The food was delicious, fresh and contemporary. The drinks were fabulous. This was a great place to celebrate a special occasion. The place is located on a cliff next to the ocean. This makes a great dinner experience I would recommend going just before the sunset. read more

What a special & fantastic place to enjoy a meal! The view alone is breathtaking with rocks in the water & a view of the sunset. Go early to sit in the bar area (grab a table instead of a stool - better view!). Not gonna lie, this place ain't cheap! We then sat at a lovely table w/2 waiters taking care of us. We loved the seafood fondue & I had the best red snapper I ever had - it was THAT fresh! We got free dessert & left very satisfied! read more
We had a wonderful experience here celebrating my girlfriend's birthday. First of all, the setting and ambiance is amazing. There are plenty of areas for photo ops and let's be real, photo ops are half the fun. This restaurant is right on the water and you enjoy a beautiful ocean breeze and the sounds of the ocean. The food was equally as impressive and they offer a great selection of culinary options. The cowboy steak is a formidable opponent and was cooked perfectly. The lamb was exquisite. Every dish down the table of our party looked better than the next. One tip, if you plan on paying with separate checks, let the staff know ahead of time. read more

For ambience, you cannot beat this place. Built into a cliff overlooking the water, was stunning. We had red snapper, oysters, sea bass. Everything is so fresh and prepared we wonderfully. Highly recommend this place for any special occasion. read more

So incredible we went twice. First of all, you cannot beat the view, service, and overall ambience. This place is so beautiful it is surreal. The beet salad had just the right amount of acidity, it was absolutely phenomenal. The blue fin tuna was incredible as well - light, fresh, balanced. The calamari was off the chain - so crispy and delicious. The little sweet potato that also came with were delicious. The seafood fondue is AMAZING. Tons of crab, perfectly crisp cheese on top with soft delicious spread underneath. The cornbread was amazing paired with it. We had the octopus which could have been the best I've ever had, and I've spent a lot of time eating octopus in Greece. Someone it was both incredibly soft and tender with a beautiful caramelization on the outside! Yum! Unforgettable restaurant, and a highlight of our trip. The cocktails were also amazing, as was the bottle of red the staff kindly chilled for us at my request. read more
Amazing outdoor dining experience with beautiful sunset views. The Cornish hen with cauliflower risotto was fresh and delicious as was the colossal shrimp. The staff was attentive to every detail. First time dinning at Cocina Del Mar everything was absolutely perfect, service, ambiance, food and drinks. I can not recommend dinning here enough if you are in the area. We had a later reservation at 8pm for dinner but we went early to experience sunset and had a few drinks at the bar. Oscar was incredible not only at the cocktails he recommended but he also went out of his way to take pictures of our group during the sunset. Can't wait to visit again soon. read more

Dinner @cocinadelmaresperanza Amazing dinner with amazing views right on the cliff. Service was excellent. Martinis were huge and perfect. The bread service with black garlic butter was a great start. The calamari had a crisp beer batter with a delish sauce and included zucchini as well. The beet salad was beautiful and so delish. Best beers I've ver had. The vegan pasta dish almost looked like a salad when it came out. Homemade pasta with a creamy vegan sauce that was so creamy you would swear it had to have butter and cream, topped with brussel sprout leaves and mushrooms. The grilled whole shrimp were something special- giant whole prawns in the most delish chili squid ink sauce to dip your bread in. A very special place! read more
This is one of the best spots that they have in Los Cabos. It was amazing food amazing ambience amazing views amazing people. The drinks were good. I cannot wait to go back in January. You definitely have to try to spot out. I have not one complaint. read more
