I went to Al Piemonte Ford to have remote start installed in my 2014 Ford F 350 diesel truck. The service writer, Perla, was great to work with. After the install, I picked up my vehicle and left. The next day I noticed one of the two keys furnished with the remote start did not work properly. You had to play with it to get it to work. I didn't think that was right. It was expensive. Upon returning, Perla said to pull it right in, and she had A gentleman come look at it. That was Paul DeGrasse. Not sure on the spelling. He proceeds to put the key in and force it to turn in the lock. He never checked the cut on the key. I immediately stopped him and simply left. He attempted to belittle me by asking ... "what do you know about keys". I told him I know enough that when one works and the other doesn't, that the cut on the key is off. I've since went to my locksmith, who verified my suspicions, and they showed me exactly where the cut was wrong. I wrote to Ford Motor Company, and was corresponding with Heather Gantt. Here is part of her email response. " It was explained to me from the dealership that there was nothing wrong with the key and I do support the dealership". Long story short. It's ok to do shitty work, and Ford will defend your shitty workmanship. I will never subject myself to this again, as I will never be back. All this over a silly key. This could have been corrected so easily by them. Please tell your friends about this. I'm ok with somebody screwing up. We are all human. I'm not ok with the denial, and the lack of responsibility. read more

So my 2015 Ford Focus with 87k miles transmission went dead this week. The car will not reverse. I called the dealership and they said they get calls about the transmissions everyday! There's a craftsmanship issue. The thing is, Ford is not willing to repair the car. This is a $5k repair. People can not afford that. When I first bought the car, I brought it back after a few days because the engine was stuttering. They showed me some video saying that this is normal. So I called yesterday and the dealership said that they used that video because the ford upper management instructed them to play that video. They will not fix the car and it costs $200 to have them plug that machine to read the car code. Ford dealerships are such a scam it's crazy. We all know the rumors about ford. And they're true. What a crap car company. And their customer service is in the Philippines. Anything to save a buck. And now they aren't willing to repair these cars they know will fail. My experience with this dealership was very disappointing. I set up an appointment to test drive a car and this first thing that the salesman did was ask how much money I had and wanted to pull my credit. I insisted that I would like to see and test drive the car first. Right after I test drove the vehicle, I found a beer bottle in the back seat of the car. That is very unprofessional as what if that was someone under age test driving that car. I asked to look at a few different cars. On one of the cars, it was very clear that there was damage to the back end as the bumper was bent and there were scratches on the paint. The salesman just could not admit that the car had gotten in an accident and from there I knew that he was not trustworthy. I finally found a car that I was interested in. When I asked what the price would be for the car, the sales manager refused to negotiate the price and was not interested in what I had to say. So I walked out and he lost a very good sale as I had a large down payment and have great credit. I wound up going to Packey Webb Ford right afterwards. There was great customer service as the first thing the salesman asked me was what kind of car I was looking for and whether or not I wanted to test drive it. I found the same vehicle with only 2,000 miles and a year younger (practically brand new) for the same price as the other car. That price included the warranty. Think twice about bringing your car here for service. The first time they replaced my radiator fluid. It was routine maintenance, a pretty simple service procedure. They forgot to tighten the bottom hose clamp and the radiator fluid leaked out. I brought it back, they fixed it no problem but then again it should of never happened. The second time I brought my truck here time was for an airbags recall. The cover to the passenger airbag was sticking out. They wouldn't fix it because the cover wasn't part of the recall, however I could have it repaired for $650.00. All I know is that my truck was fine until I brought it here for service. read more

I drive a fleet car for work that I picked up from AP Ford. I've also had it serviced twice. My first service experience was just an oil change, and was a fairly routine experience. However, last week I took my car in for a new tire, and had a less than satisfactory experience. I called ahead to make sure they stocked tires a week or two before bringing my vehicle in. They said they had my tires in stock. When I brought my vehicle in last week, I was asked to take a seat while they took a look at my car and wrote up an estimate. The estimate took 45 minutes, just to determine that my tire was indeed damaged. They did not in fact have my tire in stock, but offered to drive me back to my office while I waited for it to be delivered and installed. Their estimate of completion was just after 1200. I was not contacted after that estimate passed. I called the service desk at 1300, was told that the tire was still en route and that they would call back with an updated estimate. They again did not call. I called the service desk again at 1340 and was offered a courtesy vehicle so that I could pick my car up the next morning. I agreed, was picked up and taken back to the dealership. The service on my vehicle was not completed until 1650, some five hours after the initial estimate. I was made to pay for gas for their courtesy vehicle and had to risk getting a parking ticket because their vehicle did not have any parking stickers. AP Ford may be a reasonable place to get an oil change, but I don't particularly recommend it for any real vehicle repair. read more

Went in for a recall (throttle body ). I was told it would cost $780 to replace. After some research I discovered the work that was needed was in fact covered by the recall. When I called, I spoke with the rep and only after I asked to speak to the manager did he take another look at the recall memo and said "oh yea, it is covered". I believe this is done as a matter of protocol. If you use them make sure you do some research to confirm what they say is true. This saved me 780 bucks. By the way, I spoke to the manager I think his name is Julio and if you gauge a company by the choices they make in management, this company is absolutely sub par. Extremely disappointing. Tried to over price me for 2 small pieces that fell off my truck. They also said the Windshield had been replaced when it never had before. I went to the Ford dealer that I bought the truck from and charged me 189 for parts and services. Al Piemonte wanted 350 for the same work. Terrible dealership to work with. Been trying to get an email contact to send the specs of the two vans we were trying to buy and Ivan, the sales person, refused to provide it in 5 different ways. In the end we ended up speaking to a manager, which did provide an email address but did not care for the complaint in regards to the sales person rude behavior. This is my place for getting repairs and routine maintenance done. They've handled everything for me from oil changes, tire rotations, tire patching up to suspension and electrical work. Every time I bring my car in there, I'm treated well and I get reasonable prices for the work done. If there's work that needs to be done, it gets pointed out to me. I don't feel like I'm getting sold a bill of goods for work that doesn't need to be done. They offer a courtesy shuttle to take you somewhere while your car's getting worked on. I've used theirs on numerous occasions to head to the gym and get in a workout while my car's getting fixed. Big benefit to me, as I work 10-hour shifts at night and like to get my workout done in the morning before I go to sleep. I may be able to get better prices somewhere if I shopped around, but I don't think that'd be worth it, considering the service I've received here. read more

My father and I went here to looking buy a cheap used car, as my father had very recently purchased from this dealership, a used Explorer that ,despite being the apple of his eye...guzzles gasoline like a dozen college frat boys. So off we went to seek out a used sedan. Nothing pricey, as we were paying cash and wanted something to putt around in and was easy on gas. So we called Al Piemonte Ford. We were told they had only one car in our price range (under $4k). We take a look and while its not the car to make head turns...its not an ugly one either and suits our needs.....so cash we paid and now its ours (well, technically mine.lol) The car was a great deal and I will probably be going back next year to get another car if I opt not to keep this one . Sales team was courteous and even gave us a free tank of gas. YESSSSS!!!!! Only reason they didnt get 5 stars is because the salesperson didn't bother to speak to me..he only spoke to my father (although we made it clear that I was the one holding the cash) When I requested that a child seat anchor be put in the car he did tell me that there was a charge (uhhhh no..not at a ford dealer sweetie) and he didnt want to have the car detailed for the price we were paying....fortunately, I made it clear that I wanted the car detailed or I would go somewhere else and find one that was. Of course, suddely he could squeeze in having the car detailed. ***EDIT*** Recently we took the car in for minor work to be expected on a used car and there was a major money guzzling problem. We call the dealer, they said bring it in and the prob was fixed. So I've upped my rating to 4 stars...would have put 4.5 if I could. read more

Welcome to the Ford dealership chronicles... I'm updating my review because Julio, the service manager, has made it a point to provide the right type of service while incorporating some common sense as it relates to the customer's needs. In my previous review, I must have had a life safety issue with the car at a time when all the least customer focused team members were all on the clock. However, Julio's desire to help the customer overshadows the shortcomings of some within the team, which is probably why I had very few complaints before that time. That said I'm updating to 3 stars with the recommendation that some team members receive customer service training. I may update this again if I see more consistency in the level of customer service offered by all team members. Previous incidents: I have a car under warranty and the power steering just went out randomly. This was a known issue that has Ford in the middle of a class action suit. When I called, it was close to closing, and asked if there was a way to get a loaner or rental their answer was that people who could authorize it aren't here, as if cell phones don't exist. I asked the service cashier to find someone who could authorize it, and I was placed on hold so long the call rang back to the service desk. I remained on hold while driving my car here. I then told the cashier she could hang up since I'm here. She stated she asked her coworker for help and was waiting on her to get back with an answer to my question. When the coworker arrived, she had no clue about my issue. Another service team member said we can give you a ride home, but had nothing when I say how should I get to work tomorrow. All that and they said they could TRY to look at it tomorrow. I mean y'all won't even guarantee to get it in tomorrow with a life safety issue and the inconvenience I have to go through? I the went to the front desk and asked if the general manager was here, and that attendant said he was, but not for this issue. I was done at that point. This could have been resolved by saying we'll take you home, and we'll leave a note for the morning team to call Enterprise and schedule a pick up for you. In the meanwhile, we'll look at your car as soon as possible. After this incident, I brought my car (which is still under warranty) in because it decided to start at random (push button start). This left me in a position where I didn't know if and when my car would start, and I could have been stuck anywhere. The same gentleman who neglected to look for a solution in the previous incident told me they were full that day and that I could make an appointment. The earliest appointment available that I could make was a week away. Julio stepped in this time and made sure I got a rental and that they looked at my car that morning. It needed a part that took a couple of days to get, but in the end I was taken care of. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible service. I will never purchase another car from Al Piemonte Ford and I will NEVER recommend this dealer. First of all, my father is handicap and they were unable to accommodate his needs. Instead of being aware of his disability, the salesman had him walking all around the showroom when he clearly was unable to do so and he made it aware. Then, we were left for over 45min sitting around and waiting (after we began the paper work on purchasing the car) while everyone including our salesman went to lunch! Then I had to bring my 2011 brand new car in for service and the service department told me the car would be ready at 2:00pm the same day. 2 days later, I am STILL waiting for my car! And the only service I needed was to install a remote starter. Love the car, but I will NEVER get a car from this dealer again and I highly suggest to if you are looking for a Ford...look someplace else. I'd give it half a star if I could. read more

We bought a minivan and a Ford 500 here many years ago. They were reasonable - not overly pushy and met our needs in terms of cars and payments. I only went back there for a service a few times. I felt the services were overpriced as dealerships often are. However, it was clean and friendly. My husband really prefers Golf Mill Ford in Niles so most of our service and next car purchase happened out there. read more

Where to begin. I purchased a 2015 ford edge sport recently and had numerous issues. When examining the car with my salesmen Miguel I asked him if the car had any issues mechanically. He insisted it did not. We sit down and he gives me my apr and I decide to go through with the purchase. First issue: when sitting with the finance manager he gives me my statement with my monthly and the apr is different then the one i was told i would get. Next issue: The finance manager, Octavio is trying to sell me extended warranties and gets extremely upset that I don't want to purchase one from them, standing up walking out and stating that he was not signing off on the purchase. Next issue: I ask him if it comes with two key fobs and he tells me that it does. I sign all the paper work and i'm about to leave and the service manager George is outside with Miguel, my salesman. George tells me that the moon roofs on these cars can be finicky and not to use mine for 45 days and I could come back and they would pull it apart and grease the rails. The next morning I'm driving home from breakfast, open the moon roof and it wont close. Seems to me they were well aware of the issue when they sold it. I also noticed the 1 of the key fobs is not working..I look on the back of it and it says " BAD FOB" .. to keep this at a reasonable length, I drove my new car back and they worked on the moon roof..it took them 2 weeks. The only thing they offered to do was to drive it out to me so i didn't have to bring it back. The car had been on the lot for 8 months, why were these issues not addressed? They were Dishonest from the start. They offered nothing to compensate me for the 2 weeks it took them to fix my issues. Place is a joke stay away. Only good and helpful employee there was Vaugn the customer relations manager. GO ELSEWHERE SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE. read more

I was able to purchase the car for well under the Blue book price, with all of the options I could dream of, and at payments I'm able to afford. Mr. Zegar even recommended an option for the car that I never considered. I jumped on it, and am thankful that I did. He didn't pressure me into anything, but he was there to help me through every single step, from test driving, all the way through financing. He was very kind and answered all of my questions. Very easygoing, and customer friendly. This was the best experience with a dealer I've ever had (this was the 5th car I bought from a dealer, so I have other experiences to compare to). I went shopping at this dealership for a used car. I test drove it late in the evening. After the test drive I noticed a coolant leak. The salesman (Mike Holbert) said he would look into it. We started negotiating the price. The price on the internet was listed as 9,977. His offer was 7,400 and said he would ask his manger in the morning to see if he could come down a couple hundred dollars. He also said he would contact me in the morning with answers to the price and coolant leak. No phone call the next day. I had to call the dealership. Assitant sales lady said Mike wouldn't be in until 1:00. Then Mike calls from two different cell phones about how he's having trouble getting into work. He states that he will call me back after 4. No call again from Mike. Received follow up call from internet manager asking me if I was interested in the car at 10,900. I was flabbergasted. I explained what transpired the evening before. Then she said, she would help get to the bottom of it all. She said the GM Chuck indicated that they were already into the car for over 10,000 and could not sell at a loss due to recent repair work. The repair work (fixing coolant leak -thermostat) was over 1,300 supposedly. They would graciously offer the car at the prior internet price. I declined and said that I was clearly offered the car for 7,400. I was not moving from that number. They had no record of my conversation with salesman. They also indicated that they we couldn't do business. After we hang up the salesman Mike calls. Admits he told me the price of 7,400 but told me the extensive work that had to be done. Tried to sell me on the car dealership and service departments are two separate companies. This is a flat out lie! The dealership had recover their costs to fix. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a fair handshake. I have purchased two Explorers in past three years from Golf Mill Ford. I will be returning there. Al Piemonte saves more money by giving its customers the run around and by not sticking it to people who don't do there research on what they are buying. read more

I'm not often the type that can blame the dealership for selling what they had no idea was a lemon, or just a crappy car. That being said, the vehicle I purchased didn't really cause me any issues, I just thought it was unprofessional to put me in a car with the gas light on. But the sales experience is the reason these folks got one star. Pushy. Can't take no for an answer. You try to remain calm as you continue to repeat yourself, setting demands and establishing an open line of communication. Some folks just don't get the sales training needed to be honest, forthcoming, or even straightforward enough to let you know they simply can't meet your demands at this time. Instead, you must stay for hours while they lolligag and waste valuable precious time, searching for ways to raise their commission. I am a two time buyer from APF. Shame on me. APF only cares about making the sale and then you are nobody to them. The salesman 100% lie to you and tell you what you want to hear. "This is a no smoking car"...um it smells and what are these circle burn marks? Check every detail. EVERY DETAIL! They pieced together some interior parts that once I touched them fell apart. Once I went back they said only the Chief mechanic could work on it and he wasn't in that day. As I was trying to fix something the salesman came by and asked if I was waiting on something. I told him what I was trying to fix and he shut my door on me and walked away. No Joke! Like anywhere else do your research on the car. Have a price in mind that you think is fair and willing to pay. Deceptive sale techniques along with poor customer service and shady dealers. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!!!. So what started off as a good experience quickly turned into the most stressful and unbelievable process that a customer should had never gone through. My sales person Laverne Benard seemed to be helpful and considerate with understanding the reason I wanted to TRADE-IN my vehicle. I never witnessed a sales person that didn't want to show you the cars on the lot and have you walk around and pick out your own car alone. Red flag #1. After all the paperwork was completed and a car was chosen. I was told to drive my old car around so I could transfer my belongings out. They also took off my old license plates and I handed over the keys to my vehicle and drove off with my newly purchased SUV. I felt the deal went well and overall was satisfied. After a month I realized I was receiving past due reminders from my old car. I immediately call Al Piemonte Ford and spoke with Laverne about the situation. She instantly remembered me and told me that everything was fine and that the amount of the car was paid in full. Later on that day I received a call from Laverne stating that my car wasn't a trade-in on my paperwork. I said, well we know that's a mistake and how can we fixed the problem. I was told that I should just allow them to take my car and it would be a REPO ON MY CREDIT!!!!! WAIT!!!!! Who advised a customer this? Especially if it was an overlook on both parties. Just fixed the problem is what I thought. Let's not forget you YOU GUYS TOOK MY CAR, ALONG WITH MY KEYS AND PLAYED THE ROLE AS IF I WAS HANDING IT OVER AS A TRADE. After days of calls and even visiting this place over a span of 2 days, I was treated awful. I felt nobody wanted to assist in finding a solution. I was spoke to rudely over the phone and was told to return my vehicle even though I wasn't able too. TALKING ABOUT A HEADACHE. This company had contributed to my stress level rising and placed me into a worst off position. I believe that this was consumer fraud and I had to threaten them with my attorney to fixed the problem. After taking off of work and speaking with the owner. We were able to rectify the situation without me having a unnecessary repo on my credit. Which Laverne carelessly suggested. I will never recommend this dealership to anybody ever! I have taken my car to this dealership for a few years now. I never liked the customer experience here but I went to this location mostly because it's close to my house. I have two Ford cars - one is a 2008 Fusion. The other is a 2003 Focus. Every single time (and I do mean every single time) I take my Ford 2008 Fusion in for an oil change they do the oil change but they always find something else that they say needs repair or replacement. Just last week I took my 2003 Focus in for an oil change - they suggested I get a wheel alignment along with the oil change. The service person even commented on how the car was in such good shape for a 2003. I agreed to the oil change and wheel alignment. A few days later my car started jerking and the check engine light came on. I took it back to this location and was given a bunch of analogies that made absolutely no sense to me. The issue turned out to be that a tune-up was needed. I'm wondering why wasn't this suggested when I was there the first time for the oil change . I will never go to this location again. This last experience just confirmed what I always felt about this place. I DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP!!!! read more
