We had no idea…read morewhat to expect, and when we saw the menu we were surprised with how few items were on it, one of them being Detroit Style Pizza. We ordered fried Wisconsin Cheese Curds, and a small pizza with only cheese. The curds came pretty quickly with ranch dressing, and were very good. The rectangular pizza was cut into six squares, and had the dark browned cheesy edges as expected. It was really good! The cheese and sauce both tasted great, and edges were crunchy but did not taste burnt. Maybe the small menu is their secret to getting their food just right. If we are back in the area, we will return to Joanie's. NOTE that Joanie's was also operating a kiosk at the street festival; I don't know if this limited their menu selections at the restaurant. There is indoor and outdoor seating, with a nice view of trees and water behind the restaurant. They have their own parking lot, and there are also free, municipal lots nearby. (The pictured pizza was 4 of the total 6 squares.)

The crust was on point, the cheese was just right, and there wasn't too much sauce. I wouldn't complain about a few extra pepperonis, but overall it was still a fresh, flavorful pie. Detroit-style is always a win for me, so that was a big plus. I ordered takeout, so I didn't experience much service, but I'll definitely be coming back to dine in sometime soon.

We tried the spaghetti marinara and antipasto salad, but watched mouth watering pizza pies go by as well as giant, juicy looking Italian beef sandwiches. We also spotted an authentic brick pizza oven which was a pleasant surprise. Bonta is a no frills spot, and has pre-rolled plastic flatware, so don't expect anything fancy, the food was the star here! There was plenty of seating and is located in a strip mall off 21/Milwaukee Avenue, in Lincolnshire with convenient parking. I can't wait to go back and try the pizza!

The chilled salad was fresh and packed separately. In spite of the uncomfortable weather, the kitchen staff was hustling. We loved the Italian beef for its tenderness, flavor, and the classic Turano(?) roll. What knocked our socks off was the Louisiana pasta dish with chicken and sausage. The flavors and textures were perfect and so we'll order this again or try a different dinner option next time. It seemed like someone who loves cooking made our order and the portion sizes was just right for us to share. We also noticed a specialty pizza that we want to try.

I ordered with them again this weekend for a last minute family gathering and was wowed again. The lemon chicken was by far, the best I have ever tasted! The fettuccine alfredo with chicken was perfectly cooked and creamy as well. The salad was perfectly sized bites and very fresh. The breadsticks and Italian beef were also delicious. Email and phone follow up communication were really fast, the delivery was extremely reasonable, very friendly, and right on time. It took ALL the stress out of a last minute hosting situation, so I thoroughly enjoyed time with my guests! We will definitely use Little Joey's again for our next gathering and plan to visit the restaurant and try out the rest of the menu.

3.5 rounding up to 4! We drive by this restaurant almost weekly and have never tried it and decided…read morethis was the time. We came by for dinner on a Friday recently. Parking is street parking but there are parking lots all around so we just parked in one and walked over. Upon arriving we were quickly seated. The table was a bit dirty but we just used a baby wipe to wipe it down as it took a while for someone to come over to us. We had to go to the bar to track someone down in order to get a kids menu because they didn't give us one despite asking if we needed one We ordered the buffalo wings to start, it was super hot but the flavors were there. I was only able to eat one because it was a bit too hot for me but that's okay. For our pizza we tried 2 different ones. One regular pizza and one motor city style. The Maa Pie was delicious! It was sweet and savory and the toppings were well spread on every bite. What I did struggle with was how doughy the crust tasted for it being a thin crust but overall a great pie! We also tried the Works. It was great and fluffy, plenty of toppings perfectly baked. As we were eating we needed napkins and some silverware but had to run to the bar to get someone to bring some over. The turn off was that all the staff was standing there staring at us as they were talking about one of their tables in a negative way. While they weren't talking about us, they were talking about another family with a kiddo and I can only imagine how I'd feel if I could hear them talking about us. Overall the food was great, bathrooms were clean but the service was lacking this experience but I'm not sure if that's how it always is? I'd also highly recommend cleaning the menus before giving it to folks, both of the menus we received had food stuck to it and tomato sauce (I think?) all over the inside.

The smoky char aroma from the wood-fired oven welcomes you into Pizzeria DeVille. On the menu: Wings, Meatballs, Caesar Salad, Salads, Pizza Bianca, Deli Sandwiches, Sandwiches, Italian Food, and more. We split a Four Cheese Detroit style pan pizza. The wait staff recommended having cheese in the crust, but we said maybe next time. I enjoyed the crispy crunchy edges and the dough was light and airy. We split the crispy Brussels sprouts with bacon and an order of meatballs. Our food came out quickly, and tasted great! Staff was friendly and helpful.

We have dined here a few times since they opened. And our latest visit was a Thursday night. The…read moreplace was empty, unfortunately, though we were told that the local assisted living places bus in their residents for Bingo night in the bar and it gets busy. They have a large parking lot and (when it's warm) a nice outdoor seating area. Though, people smoke out there which makes it unpleasant for those of us not wishing to get the second-hand smoke and makes in unpleasant, so we have gone elsewhere because of this. This is January, though, so no worries about smoking near the food. We were seating it their very spacious dining room. The hostess lead us to our table as the cook (or manager) barked directions to her as to where to seat us. Other people came in after us and that same behavior didn't take place. It seemed odd, bt whatever. My wife and I were not looking for anything heavy so we both ordered soup and salad. She got the French onion soup and I the chicken noodle soup. Scratch that, I got the small cubed celery and carrot soup with a few noodles and couple pieces of chicken and a splash of broth. I guess I have to let them know that I prefer more broth in my soup because this seemed more like chicken noodle stew vs soup. She got the southwest chicken salad without corn. and I got the wedge without tomato and blue cheese and subbed in ranch instead. The wedge was huge and covered in bacon and the ranch dressing was very good (like Wingstop ranch good). Instead of a wedge, this was more of a 1/3 of a head of lettuce. It was crisp and fresh. It was very good. My wife liked her salad as well stating that it was flavorful and crisp, too. Our server was quick to refill our waters which was nice as he just did it without us ever asking (a great trait, btw). There was another server who was more of an entertainer. He would come into the dining room, dance a little and sing. Woodfire doesn't have entertainment like this; he was just happy to do his thing, and chat with the tables. It was a nice change and made the dinner more enjoyable. We paid our bill (which you can do online via a QR code on the bill) and left and the manager/owner experessed his pleasure in having us join Woodfire that evening and off we went. It's a good place with some decent options which seem to change periodically. Not sure if it's a seasonal change, but it's nice to see. Their pizza is also pretty good. It's a nice neighborhood tavern with good drinks and food. Anda bit of bingo.
