This little neighborhood gem is my absolute go-to whenever I'm craving some great, classic American food! We brought a few friends along this time, and almost everyone loved their meals. The 12 oz bone-in pork chop was seasoned beautifully and cooked to perfection, the chop Cobb salad was absolutely massive, and the double bacon smashburger was incredibly tasty. Another standout was the hearty kale salmon salad, which was delicious. The only letdown was my shrimp fajita bowl--the shrimp were quite small and unfortunately overcooked. The burger was cooked perfectly at medium but the pretzel bun split right away, which tells me it was not fresh. The mango margarita on the rocks during happy hour was fantastic! The maple old-fashioned on special was delicious too. The original margarita was very watery but I was told that the mixture was not correct and they replaced it. The hummus appetizer was just OK. Came here on a Friday afternoon to enjoy lunch outside. There was a nice little outdoor patio and a great lunch special that was $14.99 for a build your own burger and a drink. The patio was nice and quiet which was great because I was dining with my newborn niece. The staff were all phenomenal. They made sure we had plenty of space for the baby's bassinet and were all extremely attentive. Our waiter checked on us many times throughout our meal and was super friendly. I had the build your own burger and it was delicious. It was very similar to the one from the Claim Company, which makes sense since they have the same owners I believe. My only 2 negatives are that one topping was missing from my burger and the ranch sauce selection is an additional fee. That didn't make sense to me. Overall a solid spot for dinner. Inside has a fancy casual feel. The decor gives it an upscale feel but there are also TVs which makes it more casual. I made reservations and when we arrived at 6pm it didn't seem too busy but by the time we left it was a pretty full house. I tried the kale salmon salad which was good. Carpeting helps to keep the noise level under control. We dined here twice - the second time with a group - and our experiences were similar. We had reservations and were seated promptly. The servers are friendly and seem to know the menu backwards and forwards. The menu is a mix of Claim Company classics (the "motherlode" burger and barbecued meats), Tex-Mex, and healthier/trendier selections. On our first visit, I had the BBQ chicken wrap, which the menu highlights as a "House Favorite." My favorite, too. It was gargantuan, sufficient for two meals. On the following visit, I ordered the BBQ baby back pork ribs. Now, I'm very particular about ribs. I prefer a good gnaw, but these were fall-off-the-bone. Still, they were meaty and smoky. Cloaked with the citrusy house BBQ sauce, the ribs were most enjoyable. It's a full slab and the $25 price includes a side (their sweet potato fries are excellent) and a ramekin of cole slaw. For an additional $4, I added a nice Caesar salad. For those who don't care to indulge in a full-size dessert, the menu offers $2 dessert "shots." I ordered the apple crisp. It took multiple bites to consume this "shot," which was served a la mode. Our server came promptly to attend to us. We requested some time to decide on what we wanted to order. In the meantime, we placed an order for drinks. I decide to get Coke Zero and our server informed me that their fountain drinks machine had an issue in which the fizz in Coke Zero was not working properly. I appreciated that info. Our server told me that she could give me a taster portion at no cost to see if I like their Coke Zero and if I did, then she can give me a full glass. For our meal, we ordered chicken wings, a Wagyu beef burger, lettuce wrap with a choice of protein, a salmon salad, and surf n turf mix fajitas. First came the wings and they were delicious. We ordered them with bbq sauce. The sauce was tasty and the wings cooked properly. I asked for a side of their habañero sauce as well to enjoy my wings as sweet and spicy. I ordered the Wagyu beef burger as my meal and I had it with a side of salad and veggies instead of fries. The Wagyu beef burger with aged cheddar, tomatoes, onions, pickles, jalapeños, and Sriracha mayo was cooked perfectly to my liking. It was super tasty. I enjoyed every single bite of it. The side of veggies and a salad were perfect accompaniments. I recommend trying this burger. The rest of the folks at my table enjoyed their meals as well. Additionally, my friend ordered an Apple Pie dessert which he liked a lot. Overall, we were satisfied with our food and the service we received. First up, a warning. They charge 3% extra for paying with a credit card. My server put it on the bill without saying anything, before I even had my credit card out. They do have a sign out front that I might have noticed if I hadn't been late to join my party, but more warning is needed, and it's an annoying and inhospitable policy, so they lose a star for that. The food was not great. The pot roast, despite being the "special" was dry and featured square chunks of beef with rounded corners, like they'd been pressed into shape in a factory. But the gravy was decent and the mashed potatoes were fine. The meatloaf tasted too much of bell peppers. The individual size pizza looked like it had been made on a supermarket premade pizza crust. The common theme was that it was not offensive, but if someone served it to you at their house, you wouldn't have said they were a great cook. Well, you might have said it, but you wouldn't have meant it. The service was friendly, not especially swift, but pleasant. The decor was very much "family restaurant nondescript". Dropped by here for a quick brunch for the bf's birthday weekend. The ambiance was nice and semi casual. Considering that we went here by brunch time and on a Sunday, it wasn't too busy. We were promptly seated and the waitress immediately took our order. One of the first things I noticed was the lovely bar set up in addition to the extensive menu. This place had a lot of food while paying special attention to the burgers. Ya girl is a burger lover so this made me happy. It didn't take long before we started putting our order in. For the appetizer, we ordered white cheddar cheese curds. My bf ordered the double bacon ranch onion ring burger while I ordered the bison burger, medium rare with a plethora of toppings. While my bf's burger was already curated, the fact that they gave me free reign for my bison burger when it came to bun choice, sauce choice, cheese choice and topping choices was really outstanding, I love that I could chose what I wanted for the burger and I wasn't getting charged an extra fee up the whazoo contrary to other burger joints (who shall remain nameless). Alongside their extensive food menu, they also had a pretty good drink menu too. I do love me some ciders so I wanted to try something different and tried a 2 Towns Ciderhouse Tropical Crimson Crisp cider. Honestly, it was pretty good! It wasn't too tart but wasn't too sugary either, it was light enough that it paired well with my burger. They also offer you a nice chilled glass so once that cider was poured in, it was pretty refreshing and the color of the drink was gorgeous and like a dark pink which I loved. Alright, alright...back to the food. It wasn't a long wait time until we received it. The cheese curds were a lot bigger than I expected but they were good. Didn't have as good of a cheese pill as I was expecting either but that's neither here nor there. I didn't feel like the amount was justified by the price but I can say that they crispy and enjoyable. When it comes down to the burgers though, both my bf and I LOVED our burgers. My bf said that his burger was perfectly cooked. The meat was juicy, tender while the cheese curds and the beer battered onion rings were nicely coated and crispy. He also said the bacon was crispy and added a nice layer of texture and crunch. I felt very similar when it came to my bison burger. The meat was succulent and melted in my mouth. I would tell you what toppings I had on it but honestly I had so many I cant remember. I ordered it on a pretzel bun which was nicely toasted with a spicy dijon aioli sauce which was tangy and spicy but I can confirm that it added a lot of flavor to the burger. The waitress was nice enough to give me the cup of the sauce on the side so I had a bonus of being able to dip my french fries in them which was so good! Our experience here was good. I do think the price is a bit steep for what you get but it's not enough to deter me from ever coming coming back again.
