I really love Pita Pita. I have been coming here for years and it is so delicious! My go to place to eat!

I ended up here on the recommendation of some friends. I was in the Ann Arbor area and really hoping for some tasty Middle Eastern food. Surprisingly there weren't a lot of places in the area. I got a falafel wrap and we also ordered some hummus and garlic sauce. I was surprised that my wrap had some salad in it, since I wasn't used to that. I'm glad it did though, it made it tastier! The hummus and garlic sauce were just amazing and I probably went through a small serving of garlic sauce just adding it to my wrap. I probably could have just eaten that with a spoon and been happy. In any case, our food came out really quickly and it looked so delicious I failed to get a picture before it was half gone. The staff was very friendly and it's a very nice little place. Give this place a try if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed! read more

I ordered several items off of dashpass and the order I received was abysmal. The Greek salad was underdressed and the veggies didn't taste fresh. The toum and beef shawarma wrap were missing altogether The spinach pie which allegedly came with hummus and tabbouleh came with neither hummus nor tabbouleh. Everything was packaged poorly and there was juice all over inside the bag. This was maybe the worst food delivery I've had ever lol. read more

OVERALL Likely would not return for the food given the dryness of the meat but can see it being a good value spot if you're craving this type of food and want the taste and a lot of takeout boxes. Definitely better places around the area. EXPERIENCE We walked in on a weekend evening and were easily able to grab parking and were welcomed and greeted for a choice for takeout or dine-in. We chose to dine in and were told to select any available table without wait. We were quickly offered drinks and scanned through the extensive menu with many options. FOOD As a party of 4, we chose a pita platter for 3 with soup and the steamed lamb shanks with vegetables and a side of fries. After ordering, multiple bags of pre-cut pita breads and hummus were delivered. Unfortunately, the pita was a large portion but not warmed and didn't seem to be freshly made as some of us expected. Our lamb shanks and platter came shortly after. The platter was an extensive selection with a lot of food that we ended up with 3-4 takeout boxes for home. The platter's meat options were okay, but pretty dry. The falafel was also dry, unfortunately. The chicken rice and lentil soup were decent enough. The lamb shank was much better done (and likely the best thing we ordered) with a decently spiced sauce that we ended up using to help add moisture to the dryness of the meats on the platter. SERVICE The service was relatively quick and wait staff were kind and as attentive as can be. AMBIANCE The ambiance was relatively quiet and oddly had no music in the background. I walked in and placed a to go order. The gentleman who took my order was extremely pleasant and helpful. I ordered the falafel and grabbed a container of mixed variety baklava so that I could easily eat while driving back home to Ohio. The falafel was good and the pickles that were served with it were interesting but tasty. For some reason the baklava was a miss for me. Maybe it was the types I got but they were a bit dry and didnt have that distinct rich buttery sweet taste that you expect from baklava. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd definitely stop back in and maybe try something else from the menu! The inside was very clean and tidy and had plenty of seating for dine in. read more

Friend ordered kapsah lamb($14.95)dish as well with a soup( Chicken lemon rice). The dishes are pretty same meat expect change of rice colors and both are equally bland. They have excellent hummus, which is always one of my reliable tests for a truly excellent Arabic/Mediterranean restaurant. It's hard to get the hummus right, but if they can't get that right then many other things are wrong as well, but if the hummus is great then usually the restaurant is top notch. That is the case with Pita Pita. It's a relatively small restaurant, though not cramped, and it is always very clean and very well maintained inside. The service is always excellent and the food is always consistently great. Pita Pita is definitely one of my go to places and they get my business pretty regularly. read more

Would never return back. Packed a beef kabab with a chicken kabab even though it was specific stated order for chicken as we don't eat beef religiously. Located conveniently along the Washtenaw Avenue corridor, Pita Pita has a generously-sized parking lot. We had the pick of the parking spots when we arrived, as it was at the beginning of the lunch hour. Upon walking in, we were promptly greeted and shown to our seats. As I perused the menu, it was hard to pick just one thing for lunch that day. I had to remind myself that I can always come back and try something new, and I went with the Arayes. After a short wait, our food was delivered, and I dove in. While I may want to try something new next time, I would also repeat the Arayes - it hit the spot with delicious flavors, a toasted pita that was just the right texture, and a filling portion size that allowed me to take some home for a snack later. I dipped the spiced beef pita into the side of hummus with each bite for an extra zing of flavor. I don't know what was happening in my life years ago when I reviewed this place last, but I definitely have a strong, differing opinion now. Pita Pita is great. Sure, they don't have the baked pita like Palm Palace. That is the only thing docking them, everything else is great. The food is wonderful and the menu is full of variety. They offer vegetarian and vegan options that their area competitors don't. The prices are excellent and the portions generous. We've been visiting regularly for carryout since COVID, and the experience has been consistently good. The restaurant itself isn't fancy as much as casual - diner style, you might say. Personally I like the atmosphere. I've been eating here for over a decade and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. read more

We will *NOT* be returning to this restaurant..Service was ok. They got our orders done quickly. Sandwich was so-so. Meat was dry, not much flavor. I've had better Middle Eastern food elsewhere. Ended up getting sick to my stomach & diarrhea, after eating here. My friend who ate with us here said she got a stomach ache. Atmosphere is also so-so. There's a large painting showing what seems to be the Al Aqsa Mosque & Dome of the Rock, which are built on top of the Jewish Temple Mount in Jerusalem; where the Western Wall is also located. We thought it was interesting they decided to paint a church & a mosque, but doesn't show the thousands years old Jewish site the mosque is built on top of, nor include any historical Jewish site in the land, in general... We threw away 70% of the food, and only ate to fill up some of our stomach. 1. Chicken shawarma plate: chicken was dry, fattoush salad was too tangy 2. Veggie platter: cauliflower had no taste and lentil rice was tasteless as well. 3. Foul: too tangy again 4. Fries are bad, always soggy and the container was dripping with humidity by the time I got home(5min). Sandwhich is good if you don't have to drive back to get it because they didn't put the sandwhich in the bag. I get that accidents happen but it's normally met with accommodations not skepticism. read more

Never chose to eat here, but my coworkers wanted it a lot. It's right near a job. All I can really say is that I've definitely had better Mediterranean food. Love that I can stop by, without ordering ahead of time, go into Pita Pita, and get a small Fatoush salad, with "toasted" crispy pita chips on top and a bag of flatbread and be back on my way home in a few minutes. The staff behind the counter are so friendly and fast and don't have a problem when I ask for extra pita chip pieces on my salad - I like my salad crunchy! The small salad size really isn't small - they pack the food carton full ! And when you get home, pull out a large bowl to fit it in, because it's enough for a whole meal. This place was recommended to me so I stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday. They are open for dine in but nobody was dinning in so that made things a lot quicker. The staff was friendly however very busy. The phone was always ringing and people were always walking in to get to go orders. Lots of conversation goes on between the staff and at times may seem a bit inappropriate. The staff always treated the customers well. The menu has plenty to choose from and has lunch specials. I got the chicken sharwama and had more then plenty to eat. The garlic sauce is delicious and they give you a healthy helping. The lemon rice soup is very bland. The chicken was on the dryer side as expected but still tasty. The rice was cooked well and I also got a decent size of hummus for a side. I normally frequent a another Mediterranean place in town and unfortunately I won't be making pita pita my new favorite. If I'm on this side of town I may make the stop here again but I will not go out of my way. read more

Have eaten here a few times and this place is legit on my favorites list. I seriously had a dream a couple of nights ago about their garlic sauce! This little hole in the wall is a MUST if you like Mediterranean food. Its easy to miss, tucked in between the Taco Bell and car shop, but I would 10/10 recommend taking a second to try it out! I was immediately greeted at the door by a friendly man who then seated me and took my order. I told him it was my first time there and he proceed with telling me some history about the restaurant and a few recommendations from the menu. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma sandwich with some garlic spread on the side and it was INCREDIBLE. Fresh, crispy outside, quality meat, fast service, best garlic sauce I've ever eaten.
