My nail tech scraped off my gel very hard. My hands were then put under a towel with other peoples nail clippings...... My gel nails look fine but I did have to come home and file them more because they were snagging on everything. She rushed through my whole service which only took like 20 mins...this usually takes 45. I asked to get my brows threaded because they were advertising it, but she said no because she had to run errands. This explains why my service was rushed through. I probably won't come back here again and I'll stick to my normal place.

All of their nail techs are very talented, kind, and thorough. I've had the pleasure of working with Amy and Titi. Amy is a dip powder pro. In addition to knowing how to apply dip powder so well, she's my favorite when it comes to nail prep and cleaning. I always appreciate the time she takes to properly clean and prep my nails before the dipping part begins. Titi is an artist. She's become my newer favorite tech when I want to get creative and add fun nail designs to my manicures. She specializes in recreating the most beautiful designs--Pinterest is no match for her. I truly appreciate the time and dedication Titi puts into her nail art, always making sure I'm happy with the final result. I also love the pedicures here, primarily due to how extremely relaxing they are. There are plenty of options and enhancements to turn your pedicure into a complete spa experience for your feet, but I really appreciate never feeling pushed to choose a specific upgrade--just whatever feels right that day. Whether it's gel or dip powder, my manicures typically last ~4 weeks, and my pedicures almost always last 5-6 weeks before looking like they need a touch-up. Excellent value. Because this is such a wonderful nail spa, they're usually pretty booked, so making an appointment is recommended. It's an excellent place for a girls' day or a well-deserved solo treat.

Long story short I suffered…read morehorrendous and painful plantar warts on both feet because the guy at the front directed me to a chair that was not cleaned after the previous customer's pedicure. I knew the second I put my feet in the cool water...and the staff kept looking up at me...they knew and should have said something right away. It has been years and I still suffer from these creepy warts (have never ever had a plantar wart before in my entire life. SLOW DOWN and pay attention to where you are directing your customers. I would never ever set foot in that place again. They deserve 0 stars but I had to enter one to get my review posted. There are plenty of other nail salons that respect the customers safety. Terrible business ethic.

I also needed to do something about the bushy caterpillars above my eyes, so I stopped in to New Reflections thinking that although I'd never been to this salon, Aveda salons are generally legit and a brow wax is not that difficult of a thing. I didn't want them reshaped, just cleaned up a little. I've been getting my brows waxed, on average, 4-6 times per year for the past 20 years, without incident. Nbd, right? Wrong. When I was introduced to the esthetician, my gut instinct said "run!!!". She had HORRIBLE eyebrows. But I didn't run, because I'm an idiot, and figured that maybe her brows were so jacked because it's harder to do your own than another person's or something. She asked what I wanted done, and I told her to just clean them up around the edges and trim a little where needed. She then became completely silent, as though she was concentrating hard, which made me feel more uneasy. As I felt tiny bits of wax being applied here and there, and felt hairs being plucked from spots I'd never felt hairs be plucked from before, my feeling of unease began to grow stronger. I began to suspect, in horror, that this person had no idea what the eff they are doing. When she held up the mirror to my face, my suspicions were confirmed: the ends of my eyebrows were totally gone, there were patches of hair missing from each brow, and they were two completely different shapes. One of them looked like a deformed sperm. My full, beautiful brows had been reduced to what I refer to as "meth brows." I started to cry. She asked what was wrong, and I said, "um, my brows are gone...they're like, gone. They are supposed to extend to here, and you took the ends completely off." She tried to say that those hairs weren't actually part of my eyebrows, but were just "stray hairs." I was then whisked up front to speak with the manager, as I tried to pull myself together and not make a huge scene. The manager was very nice, and said of course I would not be charged for the visit. She offered to have another esthetician show me how to fill my brows in with pencil, but I declined. I KNOW how to fill them in, but drawing them on, where there is no hair at all? Like a chola? That is NOT THE LOOK. Now whenever I look in the mirror, I just feel pissed. I wonder if the ends of my brows, and the bare patches throughout, will ever grow back. Waxing damages the hair follicle, so there's definitely the possibility that they won't. And that makes me sad all day.
