I went here instead of my normal place because I was in the area. The salon was clean. I got seated right away because i was one of 2 people in the salon. My nail tech scraped off my gel very hard. My hands were then put under a towel with other peoples nail clippings...... My gel nails look fine but I did have to come home and file them more because they were snagging on everything. She rushed through my whole service which only took like 20 mins...this usually takes 45. I asked to get my brows threaded because they were advertising it, but she said no because she had to run errands. This explains why my service was rushed through. My mom & I were on a girls weekend shopping trip & decided to get our nails done. We were told it would be about a 1/2 hour before someone would be available. Finally it was our turn & the gal that was doing my nails was just getting the polish off & then a different nail tech was going to help me. But then someone came in needing a pedicure so she left me to go do the pedicure. So I thought another tech would come right over to finish up. But then Angela, who was working on my mom said I'd have to wait until she was done. And if that was ok? Well, I had filed down unfinished nails, so I guess I have no choice! I'm not leaving w/ unfinished nails! Angela was very sweet & gentle & took her time. But pretty sloppy for how careful she was. The ladies were nice, but the shellac that is supposed to last 2 weeks has already fallen off 4 of my nails. Very frustrated, and for the price I was expecting better results, and for my shellac nails to last longer. I will not be returning. My coworker also said she had a bad experience, she got acrylic and when she showed me her nails, they were ridged, not smooth like they should have been, and the nail polish was uneven and parts the acrylic was still showing, and was not covered by any nail polish. Love this place. Cindy is amazing and I go to her every time I get my nails done. I have had others there before and I have never walked away disappointed. First time there I had the pain relief pedicure and I haven't gotten a pedicure anywhere else since. Let's get real... I can paint my toes at home. The only reason I would ever pay for toes to be painted is for the massage part. I've been places where when they cut the cuticle away it can be painful and even end up bleeding, but they are gentle and I don't even worry about getting hurt as I go through the cuticle removal process. As long as I'm in the twin cities I will always go here for my nails and toes to be pampered.. I accidentally walked in 30 min to close once (mall randomly closed early one night I didn't realize) and they still got me in for a mani pedi. I felt bad, but tipped well since they stayed about 15-20 minutes past closing time just to get me in! I call ahead now so I don't do that again. Since moving to Minnetonka last year, Hemera Nails has been my "go to" nail salon whenever I need a stylish mani/pedi for special occasions or to help make myself extra neat & pretty prior to a vacation getaway! My overall satisfaction can be hit-or-miss, depending on the technician, and Today was one of those days. Originally, I came in for a gel manicure and basic pedicure. I relayed that desire to Tra, who ended up not being my technician for this visit. Instead, I began my pedicure with Nhan, and that's where things went a bit awry. I must admit, Nhan did a BEAUTIFUL job on my pedicure, however, I was given a gel polish pedicure instead of just a basic scrub/polish. Since I liked the color I had chosen, and she was already 1/2 way done with my first foot when I realized there was a curing lamp beside her, I didn't complain. Next came my manicure, which again was done BEAUTIFULLY, and Nhan worked really hard to imitate the style of a french manicure photo I had brought in as an example of what I wanted. Ultimately, I was satisfied, although a tad sticker shocked; since my usual gel manicure & basic pedicure typically doesn't exceed $45. Today's total (for gel manicure + french tips and gel polish pedicure) came out to $75! I felt bad, because their new (?) credit card system doesn't allow for adding tips, those must be paid in cash or personal check, which I never carry on me. However, at $30 more than I'm used to paying for my visits, I wasn't really prepared to go any further over my budget anyhow! Bottom line, this is a GREAT business operated by WONDERFUL people! I will keep coming back and always refer my friends/co-workers here when they compliment/ask about where I get my nails done. read more

I had a nice experience. The salon is clean and my pedicure good. I really like the disposable plastic liners for the pedicure tubs.

Before I went into the nail salon I called them and asked them how long the wait was he said about 20 to 30 minutes and when I went in there I put my name on the list, we went downstairs and got food and then came back up 30 minutes later and they still weren't ready. when is my turn I got a guy, he was talking to the other people telling other people how long it would take, so he got super rushed and started doing a terrible job. Then he started yelling at him employees. Three days later my nails started to chip. I got gel nails that should not happen. It's been a week and my nails are completely destroyed. Even with my dissatisfaction in their attempt to provide a pedicure, I tipped $10 just for 'scrubbing' my feet (in addition to the tip provided for my nails). I paid $56.00 and received a $40 refund. This is the first time I have been to Hemera. Really happy with my gel manicure! My fiancé and I have our engagement photos, and I wanted nice fall nails to match my outfit! We did call a couple weeks in advance to make sure they would have a later evening spot for myself and my mother-in-law to be. When we arrived, we were promptly greeted and chose our colors. I actually arrived about 15 minutes earlier than our appointment, but they got me in right away while we waited for my fiancé's mom to arrive. I don't really get manicures done except for special occasions, and I am so happy with the results. My nails are pretty and exactly how I had pictured them. My mother-in-law to be also loved her nails and the calming atmosphere was great to hang out. There were a good 5 or 6 other people in there during the time we were and everyone was enjoying themselves. There was one loud customer, but the ladies handled it as well as they could by staying calm and trying to get her to leave. Not sure why someone would get their nails done completely and THEN literally yell about it when asked to pay for services. Still confused about that one. This is a business that exists on the exchange of money for a service. Also, I noticed a few spots on my hands that the gel polish had gotten at the end of my manicure. I just asked her to remove it and she did, no problem. If you see something you don't like or are not happy with, just say something and give them a chance to make it right. Business closes at 6, came in at 5:15 and was told we don't have time today, too busy.... next trip will be elsewhere. Have been here several times before and always had a good experience; that changed today. They also let me stand there for a few minutes before acknowledging I was standing there. Had planned to purchase a necklace or two as well... gave it another shot the other day. Asked for a specific popular classic OPI color and they didn't have it. I went here for the first time to get my nails done for a wedding, they did a fantastic job and are very reasonably priced. I also loved how much attention they pay to detail to make sure your nails look perfect. I went here for the first time today to get a pedicure before an upcoming vacation. I didn't have an appointment, so when I stopped in I was asked to make an appointment and come back in 45 minutes. No big deal, I was happy to wait. I went back 5 minutes before my scheduled time and was told that a woman who arrived 1 minute before me was given my place. She literally walked in directly in front of me! The technician said she thought the other woman was me and asked me to wait another 30 minutes. I did not have time to wait longer so I left without the pedicure I went there for. I was given an apology and a coupon for a discount next time, but I think it would have been a lot more appropriate for them to have explained the misunderstanding to the other woman and asked her to wait. I am a busy mom to a toddler and i work full time. It's a rare occasion when I can get out of the house by myself long enough to get a pedicure. Needless to say, I went home pretty disappointed. I randomly came in to this nail salon while shopping at Ridgedale. I had a very good experience. I did not get her name, but I will... when I go back....but she took the gel and the one acrylic nail I had off quickly. She then gave me a beautiful regular manicure that is lasting as long as any gel manicure. Love them! read more

Me and my friend went to Hemera Nails & Spa in Minnetonka right before my Birthday. We went there around 8.15pm and we were asked whether we wanted Basic Manicure/Pedicure or Luxury, we said Luxury as they said it includes a massage. Suddenly they started hurrying up and partially massaged only one leg and didn't massage other leg and asked me to get up and come for Manicure. They did that too in such a hurry that they didn't apply it properly. When I asked them, they said we don't have enough time, next time you come early. Why didn't you say that in the beginning? We would not have gone for both Mani and Pedi! They charged us full money without completing Pedicure and Manicure properly. We were very disappointed and not going to go there again!! read more
