Lamb & Lamb and Beef Gyro with Rice and Salad Bowl
    Jasmine P.

I love Aladdin Sizzler!! I eat here every now and then. I always call in my order and the staff always get my order right and are very prompt when giving me an estimated time that my food will be ready for pick up. The prices are fairly good as well. I like to order the lamb gyro which is about $7.99 and it's huge!! Stuffed with lamb and lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and the white sauce is always fresh and on point! There is also the beef & lamb gyro bowl, which is my favorite to order at $9.99. You get a lot of food for that price and the rice is really good!!!! Also, the chickpea salad is so delicious and I highly recommend you try it!! This place is great if you're in the mood for halal/Mediterranean food! Stop by if you're in the Mount Rainier, MD community!! You will not regret it

Ummm soooo I'm not sure what's going on here with these recent reviews but it made me think what would I do if I ever receive the kind of service or nasty food from them??? I look forward to my medium shrimp pizza, kabob platter, wings, and spinach pizza. I always have it delivered and most of the time my food arrives nice and hot. I have experienced the cold pizza before but it was still delicious once reheated in the oven real quick! I stick with what they "specialize in".

True dive of a place unfortunately. My to go bag had a roach on it so that should have been a sign. Chicken was inedible and crunchy. Rice and chickpeas were not terrible, but I really couldn't enjoy them after the chicken experience. Having their pizza on Christmas Eve being the only place open for miles and seeing the fresh chickpeas poured over rice in their kitchen I expected so much more, but ended up with so little. Alas.

Pizza with extra cheese - where?

I used to love this place but the quality has taken a dive. I ordered a pizza with extra cheese, pepperoni and mushroom today and it had patches with no cheese at all. The pizza sauce also tasted like tomato paste fresh out the can.

I know I'm late posting a review. But my cousin gave me a recommendation to come here a while back. And I must say that I am truly impressed with the food that I have been getting from this place. I must say everything is reasonably priced and taste exceptional. I highly recommend you check this place out. You will not go wrong but you don't have to take my word for it. Go see for yourself!!!

I would have put 4 stars, but my wife is making me put 5 since she just loves their burgers. We've picked up food once and had it delivered once. The pizza and burgers are great, and the wings are ok. The food is all halal and comes with a pakistani twist. Will return !

I ordered hot wings and the house salad. It was exactly as expected. Delivery took longer than I'd have liked, but food was warm.

Other options right now are Krazi Burrito, Krazi Chick, and Krazi Kebob. There's also a new Boba place too. It looks like there used to be a coffee shop and a salad place, or something like that, so just be aware that the kitchen space may change up. We ordered 2 Kati Rolls (paneer and lamb kofta) from Krazi Kebob. We did Chappli Kabob, a Kabob Roll, and the Lamb Chop platter from The Kabob Joint. And we did the Thai tea and Chai tea from the boba shop. For the Kabob Joint: The Kabob roll was a real winner and the Chappli Kabob in the spicy green sauce was super. I wish the edges would have been a little crispier, but very good. We haven't had the Lamb Chop yet but there's a ton of food in their platters. For the Krazi Kabob, the paneer roll wasn't super spicy but was very tasty and I'd definitely get it again. The lamb was good too but I preferred the paneer. Highly recommend ordering in advance or with delivery; there isn't anywhere to sit and eat of course, and everything is made to order, so expect about a 20 minute wait if you walk in and order from the kiosk inside. Overall, great food and a cool business model for the area. In addition to the above, I'd probably get the Masala Fries next time and would consider the samosa chaat as a deconstructed samosa bowl.

I called to order pickup, and the service was nice and friendly. Also, the spot is very reliable, as it's open until midnight and roughly 16 hours of the day, serving many different options, from fast food to comfort food. I ordered the combo over rice ($13), the Philly cheesesteak combo with French fries and lemonade ($15.49), five wings with one waffle ($13.49), and a carrot cake slice ($4). - The fried chicken wings were alright for your typical fast food chicken. - Waffle was decent: it was soft & fluffy. - The combo over rice was solid, and I liked the chicken the most. - Philly cheesesteak was okay and would've been even better if it had provolone instead of the cheese whiz. - French fries were solid: they were crispy with some seasoning on them. - The house-made lemonade was alright, and I would be open to getting it again. - The carrot cake isn't anything crazy, it's alright, but I do appreciate the $4 price tag cause others would charge double or more for a slice. Overall, the spot does a good job with fair pricing, fast comfort food, and reliable hours. I'd come back and recommend.

The food on the other hand was a little disappointing. The okra soup came with rice, the soup, and a small dish of pepper sauce. The rice was very hard and dry, which made it difficult to chew. The flavor of the soup was okay, but there was a lot of bone fragments and a thick layer of oil on top, which I wasn't a fan of. The pepper sauce was very good though, it was extremely spicy and had an addicting flavor. If they sold a jar of it, I would buy it. I spent every summer in this town, growing up, and I never discovered this restaurant until a precious friend brought me here a few years ago. It's a dated, though efficient, and charming, cafe with fresh dishes you might love. Firstly, if you plan on having lunch here on a Monday, make sure you are able to finish by 2:45 since they close by 3pm. All other days, they are open past 8pm. We started with the sweet potato soup despite the fact that the reviews for the lentil soup here are the highest. Yes! If it's featured: get it! The turmeric and coconut milk make this soup delightful. The herbs made it so fresh and there was just the right amount of sweetness and gentle heat. Parsley really adds to this recipe and I'm not usually a fan of this herb. The pitas are soft, thin and light. Love them. We needed to order more. I've never had such paper-thin pitas. Yum! I love love love the hummus, here. It is nothing short of divine. The flavors are fabulous and deeply complex. You can really taste the tahini. The olive oil is mild and delicious. I exclaimed, "the hummus was the best ever." And then 5 minutes later, I read a review by Yelper James H. where he says it's the best ever and, "... this hummus at Cedars of Lebanon might have ruined all other hummus for me forever." While I've had similar swooning feelings over the hummus at Lebanese Taverna in Tyson's Corner, this hummus is at least a top contender if not the metro DC area's hummus winner. The cucumber mint yogurt salad is nice, cold and refreshing. You can really taste the mint. I would order this yogurt salad with every meal. The falafel pizza is unusual and fresh. Straight away-- you can taste the tahini, parsley and couscous. The dough is grainy and natural. And there are radishes on this falafel pizza: not overpowering. For the $9 or so pricepoint, this dish is a true labor of love. To prep all of these vegetables, even with food processors, must take time. How novel of a dish! Put the yogurt salad on this pizza. You will thank me. And I only did it because I was watching someone else slather it on. There were at least 12 desserts on the menu. Meow. If we weren't so full of pita, hummus, tahini and fresh veggies, we certainly would love to taste a few of these. As well as the Turkish coffee, with an authentic ceramic and metal carafé presentation.

The restaurant has a small outdoor dining area with three four-seater tables, which was find for our two dogs. The experience overall was pretty low key, which necessarily is not a bad thing. Although there is waiter/waitress service, you will have to order your food at the cashier's counter. Actually, maybe that's only a thing if you are dining outside. The menu has a nice mix of Middle Eastern dishes. I went with a beef (or maybe it was lamb) kabob plate. The portions were fine and my meal was pretty good. It was not out of this world amazing, but it got the job done. I thought that the prices were pretty good for the area and the amount of food received. Although the food was fine, I do not think that I would go out of my way (e.g., driving more than 30 minutes) to dine here. Just be aware that the restaurant does not serve alcoholic beverages.
