This is located in a cute shopping district next to a historic district. The entrance is a bit tight for people ordering to-go drinks and people waiting to be seated. When we arrived, there didn't seem to be a good system to negotiate that. The menu is quite extensive with options, which we appreciated. Our server made some excellent suggestions. My husband had the small hummus plate, vegetarian chili, and a platter with chicken, rice, hummus, roasted cauliflower, pickled turnip, and a minty salad. He loved everything. I thought the hummus was a bit too tahini-forward. The chili was spectacular. I had the Aladdin falafel rolled pita. There was supposed to be a dressing, and I'm pretty sure I didn't get that because my roll was very dry. I wound up dipping it into the small hummus plate, which was actually nice. I had considered the tuna rolled pita. Overall, this was a very nice lunch. The other patrons seemed to really enjoy this place as they sat for a long time.

Flavor Savor Special

The food and service here is excellent! Very clean place. Our server Kelly was amazing!

The service and food were very good. We enjoyed the Aladdin's favorite and flavor savor meal. The portions are expected for the price. Our server was very attentive, friendly, and helpful. One downside to our meal inside was the bugs. It felt like we were swatting away flies every 10 seconds. They kept landing on our food. While this is hard to prevent with the patio open and the doors constantly opening, it was pretty annoying. I would probably just sit outside next time.

I have been here many times before. Sit down and take out. The food is always prepared well. The portion of the jasmine rice and chicken tawook was very filling. Great blend of herbs and spices. It all comes together beautifully! The fruit smoothie was delicious. No particular fruit stands out, but it again blends together beautifully! I'll definitely be coming back! Megan was excellent as my server!

What first attracted us to this restaurant was their "gluten free" advertisement and with our son's recent health desire to become gluten free we ventured out to try. WHAT A PLEASANT NEW ADVENTURE. Both son's had Jasmine Favorite Chicken Tawook. Neither used the sauce but raved about the flavor. Husband had Aladdin's Chicken Pitza which was unique and tasteful. The Shish Tawook ROLLED Pita was different and flavorful. Also tried the V-Nine soup. Filling in itself. Couldn't pass on at least trying some desserts. One was the gluten free plain cheese cake just basically a cheesecake without the graham cracker crust. The other was a peanut chocolate checkered cake. We finished it. A definite come back to restaurant. Our server was Tiffany - very attentive knowledgeable and pleasant. But based on how we were initially greeted I don't think you could go wrong going here.

11/27/20 As usual, got the roasted cauliflower as appetizer. Awesome as always! Tried the sfiha for the first time. This was very filling meat and cheese appetizer and had a delicious, yet unusual taste. I'd get this again for sure. Ordered the fattoush salad with chicken. I love the fresh flavors. This is a pretty substantial option for a salad.

Ingredients in their gluten-free cheesecake. Even the cling wrap on the product is biodegradable.

The food is good but the service was so bad that it is keeping me from going back. I'll just take out from here on out.

Love Aladdin's. Have been to probably 4 or 5 of their locations. Tasty, inexpensive food, good service, what else can you want?

The staff is incredibly helpful and kind, and they have not had any issues answering questions on food or taking very small edit requests. The food is always incredible-especially my favorite, the shish tawook! You can taste the smokiness of the grill and the chicken is never dried out. The portions are great, you won't go away hungry (or you may even go home with some leftovers!). I like that on any given night, you can see a wide variety of diners: couples on a date, families with babies and/or toddlers, or people just there for a delicious dinner. I've seen a number of people come in for takeaway orders, so it looks like they do brisk business there as well. I just discovered this evening that they also do catering, so I took a catering menu home since this is the kind of food meant to be shared with loved ones, friends and family!

Our waiter Sam was a gentleman and very accommodating and patient with our questions about the menu. I was visiting from out of state and I was told about Taza and so glad I gave it a try. The atmosphere at lunch was relaxed and enjoyable.

Our…read morearrival coincided with the end of what looked like a significant private event in the dining room, so it was a little weird at first. But once things were sorted out we were seated and ordered some drinks and the kibbie appetizer (which was glorious!) We decided to share a double grill platter to try some different selections and not overeat, this was ideal and we were very happy with our choices. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. Clearly this place deserves the reviews.

There were several staff members moving in and out of the waiting area, but only one asked me about my order and reassured me that it would be coming out shortly twice, though I still ended up waiting 20+ minutes after these reassurances. To be fair, this restaurant is within walking distance of the convention center, and several conference attendees grabbed lunch here that day, but I was hoping that ordering ahead could mitigate some of the wait time. Some fellow conference attendees also noted the extremely long wait time for their sit-down meals: several of them had to immediately take their food to go once it arrived to make it back to the convention center, despite the two-hour lunch break we had. As for the food, the mujadara was pretty yummy! I enjoyed the fried onions on top, though they were pretty limp and soggy by the time I could eat it. The lentils were a bit on the hard side, and the side of pickled turnips I ordered was pretty small but added to the meal. I did really enjoy the pillowy pita that was included, and the sumac olive oil dip was pretty good as well.

I found this place by chance as I was looking a healthy option for lunch. I parked in the rear of the building and walked inside. I was greeted by the owner, a friendly lady who was very helpful in making suggestions as to the items on the menu (e.g., spinach pie, meat pie, hummus, baba gannouj). Seating is limited to a few tables however the store has ample space with a variety of imported products such as olive oil, cheese, beans, seasoning, and even bottles of soda! After viewing the menu posted on the wall behind the counter, I saw that red lentil soup was available and quickly made up my mind! The soup came out hot in a styrofoam cup and was a balanced savory cascade of flavor - not too thick while not watery. After finishing it not only was I satisfied, but more importantly I was spared the guilt of eating lousy. If you like Middle Eastern food and live in Akron, stop over to Sanabel Bakery and be amazed!

To echo the other reviewers, food was amazing but it really was pricey. I totally understand things are expensive and prices are going up but I was a little aghast when she gave me the total. Menu said it was $13.99 for the lentils and rice special but I was charged $14.99 and it was $2.50 for a small side of hot sauce! That and three spinach pies brought my total to $25. That's a bit outrageous for the amount of food received. That said, everything truly was delicious and the owner was friendly. At least now I know what to expect for next time!
