They are the best, now my pool is warm and my kids are happy…read more I requested a quote and everything was installed 3 weeks after, they even throwed a solar blanket for free, all hardware is stainless steel and actually they made the whole thing tighter that it was moving the filter in a better position, really happy! Thank you

Had 9 existing solar thermal pool heater panels on my roof. 12 years old and leaking quite a bit…read more Had Excel Solar come out and give me a replacement bid. Their bid was $13,000 and they wouldn't warrant their work unless I put a new roof on 1st!! Metal roof is 20 years old....good for 40 years. I assume that they worried about adding more roof penetrations for tie-downs. I found an outfit in CA, Solar Pool Supply Inc. I worked with Tyler. I sent him my panel measurements and my existing tie-down placements. He set me up with panels that would utilize the existing tie-downs. I paid $4,500 for the 9 panels and installation parts. I tore the old panels off, cut them up, and had the city pick them up for free. Took me less than 6 hours to install the new panels. Not a leak! (I'm pretty handy, but am not a plumber. Actually an IT computer nerd.) FYI, I took the time to put roof sealant on and around all the existing tie-down brackets for my piece of mind. So, back to Excel Solar's "generous" bid....I would think that being in the business, they would be able buy the panels for about $3,000 where I paid $4,500. So the $13,000 bid included about $10,000 labor. The job took me, a rookie, less than 6 hours with no other help. So Excel Solar wanted about $2,000 an hour labor. Stay away from these guys. Nuclear scientists and brain surgeons charge less.

I am writing to formally address a dispute regarding the water heater installation services…read moreprovided by Climate Experts. Below is a detailed account of the situation, including the timeline, agreements, and subsequent issues: Timeline and Agreements Initial Quote and Agreement: On 5 February 2025, Climate Experts provided a quote for installing a customer-supplied water heater. The quote explicitly stated: "The replacement water heater can be installed either in the attic space where the existing one currently is (provided it fits in the attic access), or it can be installed in the garage. Either location, pricing valid for either.", "*Installation includes all required wiring & water lines." Pictures and requested information were provided by my realtor to assist in preparing the quote. Additional detailed pictures of the house layout were available online via the property listing. I signed the quote on 7 February 2025 and paid $2,150 on 9 February 2025. Tech Visit and Refusal to Install: The technician arrived at the property and stated that the supplied water heater could not be installed in the attic due to its hybrid nature, weight concerns, and potential condensation issues. I requested that the water heater be installed in the garage, as explicitly stated in the signed quote. Climate Experts refused, claiming the situation was not as expected and that installation in the garage would cost more than the quoted and paid amount. Forced Purchase of Additional Water Heater: Due to time constraints related to the sale of the house, Climate Experts leveraged the urgency of the situation, leaving me with no choice but to purchase the recommended water heater for installation in the attic. The new water heater was installed with an invoice dated 17 February 2025 and signed 13 February 2025. Issues and Concerns Failure to Honor Signed Quote: The signed quote explicitly stated that the water heater could be installed in the garage. Climate Experts refused to honor this agreement, citing additional costs and unforeseen circumstances despite having sufficient information (pictures, listing details, etc.) to prepare the quote. Lack of Due Diligence: Climate Experts did not send a technician to inspect the property prior to providing the quote, despite my realtor offering flexibility to accommodate a visit. This oversight led to inaccurate assumptions and subsequent issues. Leverage of Time Constraints: Climate Experts leveraged the urgency of the situation, forcing me to purchase an additional water heater to meet the inspection requirements for selling the house. Financial Impact: I incurred additional costs due to Climate Experts' refusal to honor the original agreement and their lack of due diligence.

I needed a water line run from the side of my house to my pool enclosure. Total distance was 22ft…read more Total cost of parts at retail pricing $135. I asked how long it would take and was told approximately 3 hours. Then he gave me the estimate $3368. This breaks out to approximately $165 per foot of pipe. If you calculate it per hour minus parts they are charging over $900 an hour for labor. Be Very Careful if you are thinking of having them do any work. Get other estimated. If I could give them a zero rating I would.
