Giovianni came to give a quote--over 1k dollars to replace 2 outside spigots! He wanted to sell me a water system for $4000.00--the other quotes I have no idea---has this company lost its mind??? I had American Air install a whole new system like the Work the 4 ton unit the UV lights ductwork up flow furnace everything like $18 1/2gs, I had water damage to my house so another company come out and did a 3-D images of all the rooms checked all the walls for moisture, etc. etc. they were just doing what they do but let me know that I should contact my AC company because the humidity was high in the house. I contacted American Air system maybe a year old but it seemed it was two months past the one year they did not say anything about a trip charge ,it being out of warranty.NOTHING...first thing out there mouth should have been no matter what we charge $89 to come out(we paid it) but basically paid it to have a guy stand in our hallway for $90,there was an initial call on my part and trip charge was never mentioned ,so new assumed under warranty..should have been discussed but that person.I was contacted day of another employee (think installer) and was asked about problem ??Again trip charge was never discussed or not under warranty anymore...If discussed would have been ok with it.Neither employees discussed warranty or cost???Def go elsewhere for your A/C needs ..spend almost $20 Gs for four ton unit and this is how they treat you ...(I called)guy was like we charge that with a warranty also ,,well you probably should let the customers know that detail!!F- here!! read more

American Air & Heat of Brevard is NOT a company you can trust. Their website is flashy with all sorts of pledges and promises, however they do not treat their customers with the loyalty that is promised and the respect that is deserved. They installed a new a/c heat pump system in our home 18 months ago that has never worked properly. After multiple visits in an attempt to remedy the issue over several months, and having replaced over half a dozen parts on the brand new $11k system, we are still living in 81 degree heat in our home regardless of what the thermostat is set. Furthermore, any request to escalate the issue to get it resolved, no matter how respectfully or professionally, seemed to fall on deaf ears. When they couldn't figure it out, I've been ignored, ghosted, and one of the owners even came out to the house only to recalibrate the thermostat to read 3 degrees cooler than it actually was to try to make the problem go away. I have to say that almost all of the technicians that came out were friendly and professional, although they appeared to be directed by upper management to do a quick fix and move on. There are several other HVAC contractors in Brevard, do your research, don't take the salesman for face value and speak to as many past customers as possible before a big job. In fact, the last visit with their technician, they said nothing was wrong and I needed to spend another 10k on ductwork with them. read more

American Heat & Air replaced my air conditioner and all the duct work in the attic. They arrived at 8am and worked steadily until 5pm. They were efficient, courteous and conscientious. They cleaned up the debris from the insulation and carried away the old duct work and AC/handler. Was very impressed with their work ethic and the end product. Rob Miller was our service tech, did an excellent job on our 15 year old units, noting that both had to be replaced. Rob's comment was hopefully they will last a while longer. This company strives for excellence. We've used them for 14 yrs. after they installed our a/c unit and they've done maintenance on it since. Now, our a/c broke down (14 yrs. was a long time for it to last). We called for service and they were here later that day. We needed a new unit but this is FL and its hot so they are busy. They brought us a portable room a/c and set it up. We thought we had to wait 4 days for a new installation. American Air and Heat worked to get us switched with someone who was awaiting a new unit but still had their a/c working. After a 1 day wait, they are here installing as I write this. I am posting this review well after the fact because I didn't feel comfortable or safe doing so right away. Terrible customer service. Disrespectful. Refuses to listen to you and will talk over you. Wouldn't let me finish my sentences. I tried to ask about installing a programmable thermostat to make the house colder at night, but warmer during the day when we aren't home, so we could save money, but instead he kept telling me I was stupid and that he knows what I want without even letting me explain the situation in my own home. He also kept going on and on about his degree....? And then he had the gall to straight up tell a family member that I don't care about them or love them..... All because I was trying to ask questions. He acted like me trying to figure out a solution was somehow insulting him?? I am not saying that I know better than a hired professional, but at least let the customer explain their problem to you and try to help them come up with a solution?? Instead he convinced my family member to let him install a new thermostat (our old one was fine, and the new one isn't programmable, like we wanted) and a 300$ bill. No integrity, had a deal worked out with the owner of the company to purchase 2 vans they were taking out of service. I drove 2 hours and when I got there the owner told his employee not to sell the vans for the agreed upon price because he thought he could get more for them. In business and life your word and your reputation are all you have... no wonder why the google reviews are so terrible for this company, the poor ethics start from the top and work their way down to the techs trying to rip off anyone and everyone. Absolutely despicable. Also when I was there I saw about 300 ac unit remains... They came to my home because my air conditioner was not working the gentleman "claimed" that he did a diagnostic test but basically just told me that the line was blocked put some water down it to flush it out The air seemed to kick back on so I figured the problem was solved? I was really upset because I work full-time and I did not want to have to keep bringing in after hours repairman to take care of this problem which I thought had already been taken care of and there was no way I was going to call the same company back because obviously they did not fix my problem. So I called another company and let them know that my air conditioner was not working at which point when they came they "did" a diagnostic test and told me right off the bat what the problem was and fixed it. Now if the first gentleman "really did a diagnostic test" he would've discovered the same thing that the second company had discovered and would have fixed it that very same day. I was so upset because now I was out hundreds of dollars because I had already paid The first repairman and obviously now I had to go and pay a second one. First of all I'm huge and Customer Service and after three phone calls to the office manager and no return call my level of respect for the company and itself hiring people that don't provide excellent customer service really upset me! I never got a call from her I never got I am sorry I was busy and I didn't reach out to you sooner nothing! I asked for a refund I got a partial refund but you are sending out repairman there are incompetent and your staff obviously does not care about your customers when there is a problem and they're trying to get a hold of someone who might be able to help them out you just ignore them? You don't return their calls? And this is your office manager? My furnace stopped heating so I called American Air & Heat. We agreed on a time and day to come out and they were on time. My furnace was 31 years old and condenser was 16 years old. After talking with David we agreed that the fix would probably be short term because of the age of the equipment. He quoted me a price for a new replacement on the whole HVAC system and options for financing. Both were acceptable and the crew showed up on time. DJ, Gary, and Anthony went to work installing the new equipment. They sealed the ductwork which was leaking, and replaced the defective wiring to the new heat pump. It even started to rain while doing the outside work but they worked through it until the job was finished. Looks great, works great, feels great. Thank you ! read more

Your unit is to small and I need to go from 3 tons to 3.5 tons for $5000. Insane!!! I am not having a problem with the blower but basically told me it was not worth their time to do the small job. We needed a new system & duct work. We got 3 estimates from 3 reputable companies. American Air & Heat gave us a fair estimate with 3 options for our duct system. My husband was the contact for the estimate, he was impressed with the options & equipment choices American gave (he is in commercial construction, so his understanding far outreached mine). Instillation went well (1 day for new ac & duct! Our home is about 3,000sq ft). They left our home clean & the system is working great. We had to have them come back for 2 small issues. They had someone come out immediately, working around our work schedule. (outside unit to close to pool filter, it was moved without hesitation, 2nd, I wanted a better thermostat & it was upgraded) As you can well imagine, this is a high cost job, the whole process was fast & pleasant, making the stress of spending so much money a little less stressful. Horrible Experience. I was talked into buying a new Amana Goodman a/c for $6,985. I think it is bigger than I need and other companies I called would have charged aroun $4,500. This unit has broken down 12 times total! Every time their repair person came, they would reset it and go on their merry way without finding out what was wrong. I think that's because they didn't know how to fix it. This unit came with a decent warranty and their repair person would do the repair for free and seek reimbursement from Goodman. They never submitted to Goodman! I called Goodman and they said American Air never sought payment for the 12 visits they made. I really think they didn't want Goodman to know how many times they had to come in fear of them thinking Goodman would realize they weren't capable of working on them. The last time I called them, I was furious and called up and yelled at the woman in the office. I was totally ashamed of it so I sent her a pot of flowers and deeply apologized. I never called that company or Micah again. The next day I called a different company and they fixed it right away! That was over two years ago and it never broke down again. read more

Our a/c was 13 years old, so we finally had to have the entire unit replaced. I did my research and price compared and American Air & Heat were the most affordable while still being able to get quality products and professional work from a reliable company! The manager Micah was fantastic to work with; he really worked with us to make sure we were getting everything we needed at a price we could afford! The two guys that came out to do the job were courteous, efficient, and professional. We only had to be without a/c for less than 5 hours while they completed the entire job. Everything looks great, sounds great, is working great, and they cleaned up afterwards leaving no trace of any work having been done! I have never given props to anyone on social media before, but this story I must share with you... Our heating and air conditioning system just died yesterday. I called American Air and Heat yesterday morning and they responded early yesterday afternoon. Michael St. Germain, our account manager, came out and shared the bad news that our 10-year old system had died. We knew it was coming, but you can never be completely ready for such a heavy cost of replacing the air and heating system for your home. Michael assured me they would take care of us. I called American Air & Heat last week. They came the next day on time. Mathew checked my AC and confirmed a $90. diagnostic fee would be cut if I signed up for their membership club. He showed me prices back and forth on his iPad and I had to ask for the exact price before he started. I wanted it all in writing and he said he would e mail it to me confirming my email. I didn't get it, but agreed to join the club that gave me 2 more visits included in the price. I wanted to see the agreement in writing. He started working and fixed my AC taking a picture of the coils (which I did not get). I paid by check and he was very nice, respectful and the AC is still working. I did not get any e mails and called twice. The second time they told me they would mail me the paperwork. That is where I have a big problem. All this typed up stuff noting when I sign, which I did not, as nothing was ever offered for me to see or sign. There is a $189 charge to join the club yet there is nothing in writing to say that you get the next 2 visits at 6 months and 1 year free of the $90 charge or an emergency visit as well. No paperwork to explain what the $189.00 covers at all. So they deducted a $63 diagnostic charge from my bill which made no sense or my charge would have been that much more. He did pop a whole in my duct work to take the temperature and I taped that hole up after he left. The work seems to done right as my AC is working and I have not changed the temp since he left setting it at 78. The billing is just uncomfortable. There is a section in the bill that says the technician did not think some work was needed and it would not be covered by the warranty? The office had no explanation for that comment in my paperwork. NOTE that all phone calls are recorded. Mathew should have emailed me the deal before he started work or let me see it on paper before he started. It was so hot and he was very nice, but the billing is very odd. I feel like they made up prices to meet the amount I was talked in to paying. read more

When the AC went out late Saturday night, I was very concerned about how this situation was going to get resolved, on a Sunday, without costing an arm and a leg. But I called, and a technician, Tommy, arrived in the early afternoon. He replaced the faulty part, assured my two, very big, furry dogs, that they would be comfortable very soon, and charged a very reasonable amount for the Sunday service call and replacement part. Horrible! Dishonest and incompetent. We had a 12 year old unit that we were having issues with. We knew we would have to replace soon. We called for service. Repair man came out, says repair would be over $1k to replace the just the coils. Said it wasn't holding Freon. Many, many other lies and inaccurate information fed to us as the unit wasn't even low on Freon. Gave us a quote for a new unit($6500 for 3 1/2 ton no name replacement). He disconnected the outside unit and suggested we run the fan for air movement as we made our decision(his ploy to have us make our decision in discomfort). Spent $69 for a service call to find out what scam artists American Air hires. Although our unit was old, American failed to even bring the equipment out to test it! We had Lowe's come out with their sub contractor, Dial Plumbing for a second estimate. It was just a capacitor issue that was clearly visible. Dial Plumbing was able to get us up and running temporarily until our new unit arrived, no charge. We spent under $6k for a 4 ton unit. Do yourself a favor and avoid any service from American Air and Heat. There is nothing "American" about them! Sad that business feel that deceitful practices are the only way to get customers to make a purchase. read more

They sold me a home a/c unit for $7,200. My house is only 980 square feet and anybody else would have sold me a unit for $4,000. I have service call receipts for 11 times i called to have them fix this thing. It still wasn't working right. When he sold me this unit, he said I would save alot on electricity, but that was bs too! My bill actually went up! I find this company out to make the most money they can and their repair men are lousy. I went to a different a/c company who fixed the problem right away and also found a couple of parts that were installed incorrectly. Stay away from this company!!. read more
