i decided to do a pickup instead of a $15 delivery, i think shipping increases by $15 for every 24 cans. I've tried their orange, diet cola, cola, lemon-lime, and root beer flavors, all clean-tasting and refreshing with that authentic soda taste. I've tried many sodas with minimal ingredients, they either taste off or came at double the price. At about $3 a 12oz can, i think i'm done searching for now. (if you buy them at restaurants, they likely cost more.) They also sell other drinks like apple juice and fountain dispenser mixes. I almost never see their soda go on sale, just that one time. I'm not a fan of their diet cola, tastes different than regular cola and sorta watered down; that being said, it doesn't taste horrible and tastes like what you'd expect from a diet soda. I expected their orange soda to be orange colored but it came out clear, maybe that's a good thing? I placed an order on thursday 1pm, i got a notification for pickup the following day at 11am. I used gps to guide me to their warehouse. I didn't know what to expect, wasn't sure if I was supposed to call ahead. I see signs up for "will call" which i infer as pickup. I drove up to their packed parking lot (although there's a lot of empty space all around, I'm somewhat sure that parking isn't strictly enforced). I think there's a wine cellar and restaurant next door. Back to the main point, I drove up, parked, went to the roll up gate, waited outside patiently, pressed the blue lighted doorbell (don't see a keypad), and someone came out and gave me my order. Took a few minutes, be sure you have your order number or name you used to make the order. Bring your own hand cart or trolley if you're ordering bulk. All in all, the pickup process wasn't difficult. They're available for pickup Monday to Friday, 9 to 5pm. Will likely order again. read more

This is a review for Alameda Soda and their Hangar 25 Cola flavor. There aren't enough of these reviews, so here goes. I have had one can so far, so I will update this review after trying more of the batch I got. I am a fan of colas, I have drunk a few, from "Moxie" to the big corporate brands, to various others, and the small corporate brand, the one named after Shamu (IYKYK). Shamu makes my current favorite cola. I took a gamble with Alameda's cola, because I hadn't tried it at a restaurant or somewhere that didn't require a whole batch to purchase, but I thought, "how bad could it be?" So I got the 24 pack. When I pulled the can out of the pack, my hand was a little sticky. There was a line of dryish soda down the side. 'Would like to see the cans be a little cleaner. When I opened the can, it didn't seem like there was a whole lot of carbonation, which makes me suspect that that soda on the side indicated there was a mild leak. The other cans seem pressurized, so we'll see how those go. The website describes their soda as having "fine bubbles," so maybe this is the intended amount of bubbliness. Stay tuned. Now, to the flavor. It was tasty. I would definitely buy this soda again based on flavor. I don't have a refined palate, so I can't quite describe the flavor notes, but (I hope this doesn't offend Alameda Soda), the flavor was similar to Pepsi, which to me is great. I enjoyed the cola, and since it's local and has real sugar, it's great. The price per can is a steal ($1.33/can), although I haven't factored in my travel time and mileage, but it was worth it. For flavor and price, I would confer 5/5, for overall experience, if I had only one can, I might shave half a point, but the other cans passed the squeeze test, so hopefully they're more fizzy. As to the pick up process, the staff were courteous and it was pretty quick. The website said that it would take two days for my order to be ready, but it was ready the next day which was delightful, since I had the car for the day and could go pick it up. I recommend Alameda Soda Hangar 25 Cola, if you're a cola drinker. Get the good stuff, drink in moderation. read more

My husband tried their diet cola at Cenote in SF and I usually only have a sip or two of Diet Coke (before we boycotted them for Palestine) and it just "cleansed" my pallet a bit but it was more habit than any joy from the drink. Now for this cola! WOW I hate aspartame and fake sugars bc the aftertaste is not worth it at all I'd rather drink water. I didn't realize my husband even ordered DIET at first it was perfectly sweet without any aftertaste and I def took more sips than normal. I'm sooo glad they sell cans bc I will be buying for my husband (and myself ). read more

I sampled the ginger beer (which is non-alcoholic) at the Camp Yelp event in Fremont on Thursday evening. The ginger beer is spicy due to the use of real ginger in the recipe. They also use real cane sugar. Excellent soda. read more

i came across Alameda Soda while dining at Bear Blitz in newark 2 years ago. LOVE their Ginger Beer - we get it from Slice of NY and I can't find it anywhere else :( Their Ginger Beer is PERFECT - not overly sweet with the right amount of ginger - I wish I could have it all the time!! They server Alameda Point Craft Soda at a burger place we've gone to but they don't serve the Ginger Beer - I like their other flavors as well but am obsessed with the Ginger Beer.... I have dubbed thee my favorite soda EVER! I can't get enough of Alameda Soda's Lemon Lime soda. It was such a nice treat when I was at Brewster's Beer Garden with my friends. I like lemon or lime carbonated drinks but when I tried this, I was blown away that I enjoyed it way more than I ever did any other soda! I wish this was offered at more places. I look at ever place I go to, and have since then visited the website to see any new places that partner so I can go to those establishments. The lemon-lime soda is so crisp, refreshing and flavorful with just enough of a mix of lemon AND the lime that I can both taste as well as a level of sweetness that only crafters like Alameda Soda can master. Just thinking about it now I can't wait to get my hands on another one! Also, I'm ONLY a water drinker. I drink protein shakes, green juice, and water. I hardly have soda, unless I can find something similar to Alameda Soda (which I've tried different brands, but none come close). read more
