I'm new in the area so searching for a good place to get my nails done is difficult, and San Antonio had many places to choose from. I picked this place because it had a good rating on Yelp, and it was close to home. It's also close to the laundry mat and butcher shop we go to as well. I went in just to see how long the wait was, and they immediately took me which is a plus! It's not often places do that. If they had said their was a long wait, I would have just tried another time. One of the things I really loved was that they took their time doing my nails so that it looks clean, natural, and nice. I've had a few done where they rushed, and ended up hurting me in the process besides making my nails look bulky and uneven. The end results were amazing! They had also removed all the dead skin for my hands. I work as a phlebotomist so I wash often which dries out my hands a lot so I'm super happy they feel soft again. SAVE YOUR MONEY !!. DONT GO HERE! I came to get a set & yes I do get them long but NEVER have I had such a terrible set done. I had one break within 2hrs of me leaving. I go back & I'm told to COME BACK TOMORROW!! WTF?? The guy that did my nails knew his worked sucked because when I came in he immediately started looking & talking to the girl that started doing my nails. I had to pay more money to go to a different salon & have his crap worked fixed ! Not only have they lost my business but so much potential business is gone as well. The people are pleasant enough, even though their English is very limited. The facility looks clean... BUT I recently got an INFECTION ON TWO OF MY TOES. Yesterday, I went to the doctor to treat. He concured my speculation that I more than likely got the infection from unsanitary tubs or tools. Unfortunately, I WILL NOT RETURN and have found a facility that has plastic disposable liners for the tubs at PARK NORTH ON BLANCO & LOOP 410. I've been coming to Delux Nails for years but recently have been pretty disappointed. I always get just a Shellac manicure, and it usually lasts me 2 full weeks. The last time I came they did not spend a lot of time actually manicuring my nails, so when I got home I noticed hangnails and uneven cuticles. The polished chipped the next day, and by a week the polish was popping off. I decided to come back, and they told me the wait was 30 min to an hour and I decided to wait. I ended up waiting close to 2 hours. They never gave me updates, and they weren't even able to help people who said they made an appointment. I wish they would have just told me they didn't have time instead of making me wait. At about 1 hour and Half into my wait a woman just walked in and was immediately helped. Soo.... Richard did my pedicure and I let him choose color and do his thing... He did an AMAZING job I literally was not picky and really just needed to have dry skin removed. But he still took his time and paid attention to every little detail. Then Vivian did my set, let me tell you she was so down to earth and did a great job. Jimmy did my pedi and Tina did my shellac manicure. Total, it took about 1 hour and 30 min (which I absolutely enjoyed). They did a phenomenal job! Jimmy was able to take out an ingrown that had been bothering me with no pain at all. I LOVED the work on the shellac. Neat, even, and natural looking. Unfortunately disappointed. Nothing is worse than having a rushed job. I asked for and paid for an upgraded pedicure with all the extras but received a less than satisfactory job. On a busy day I can understand being short staffed and the need to work faster but that doesn't mean you cut your customers service short and half ass the job. She hardly cleaned or cut my cuticles, she exfoliated the bottom of my feet with 2 passes of the pumice, the massage was a minute long and polish job is upsetting. The polish doesn't cover the sides of most of my nails, one which is already lifting. As a busy single mom, getting my nails done is my self care ritual. It's the only pampering I get so when I go I at least expect what I paid for. I sat there feeling completely rushed and anxious and it sucked. Please don't take on upgraded services if you don't have the time to do the job properly and with care. It's very disappointing to pay that much money for service and still feel awful afterwards. read more

The first few times I came here I really enjoyed it but the last time I came I swore I would never come again. The people are rude and rush you. Even after I said I wouldn't come again I came with a friend and they treated her like dirt. We came around 6 and we stayed for 3+ hours. My friend was getting a pedicure and and a full set. Like most woman she wants her nails done a certain way. She asked the lady her opinion while they lady was doing her pedicure and she just sat there and ignored her. She had to ask the lady 10+ times for a refreshment and the lady kept stopping to do her nails to eat and attend to other customers. They had plenty staff for each customer so it doesn't make sense for her to keep leaving.. the lady kept insisting that we just " come back tomorrow " over and over again. The people that work in here speak Chinese in your face all day and when I asked her a question she ignored me and continued to speak her chinese. Lastly she ended up switching nail technicians to rush the job! Over all I am dissatisfied. Very rude very expensive for no reason and all they do is talk chinese in your face as your asking questions in English. Why is it so hard to find a decent, clean, friendly nail salon in SA??? I live nearby and have tried this place a few times. I like the pedi options. I also like their stamp card. Each time you get a mani and/or pedi you get a stamp. Then after so many you get $5 off. But today is the last time I'll come here. Today one of the women was eating an orange when I arrived. I have had my nails done here for over a year. They have not been able to retain staff. The staff is always changing. The prices are not consistent. I love getting my pedicures. The prices for a new set changes with every visit from $35 to $50 for the exact same procedure. Each staff member charges a different amount. The have a menu but the price changes. The staff speaks limited English so they are not able to explain why the prices vary. read more
