At one point, the employee answered and immediately told me to call back later. Not a request, but a demand. 2. Went to pick up a car at their opening time of 6 am. No one showed up to staff until 6:10. 3. The number given in the rental agreement to extend a rental provides a message to call the facility you rented from directly to extend. I attempted to call for over an hour and never got an answer. Left a voice mail in the end which has still not been answered 24 hours later.

Because I needed to get around to meet someone and have a meeting or two I figured the best option would be to rent a car. When I arrived at the airport I headed downstairs by baggage. That's where all the car rental places were located. I headed to the National counter and was quickly greeted by Maddie. She pulled up my reservation. She was kind and pleasant. She let me know that they didn't have a ton of options left, and asked if I wanted a minivan. Now I would have jumped at the chance of getting the minivan had I not been the driver. So I politely declined the minivan. She let me know she could give me a Chevy Equinox, which I thought was fine. She gave me the keys, let me know where the car was located and gave me the drop off directions. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes, which was lovely. Dropping the car off was easy peasy. You just follow the signs to rental car drop off. Park in the designated National spot, and due to there not being someone outside, you drop the keys in the dropbox at the National counter inside. If I have to rent a car again in Madison, I'll use National.
