The surge pricing of course is absolutely theough the roof at this time, and this is where I feel this place dropped the ball. Everywhere we ate in this trip would ask if we were there for graduation, and each place had a little something for the graduate or family. Usually a desert or maybe a drink, and each time a warm congratulations. Amazing how so little can mean so much. The hotel which was the most expensive part of this trip by a very long shot,.had, well, nothing. No congrats, no free breakfast, no complimentary cocktails to help get into the celebration....nothing. usually stay here for less than $300.a night and since this time it was well over 3x that, I guess I expected more. The hotel is fine if not a little dared here and there. The location is the best part. It is clean and warm water pressure is great.

Not only is this hotel poorly…read moremaintained and clearly lacking proper management, but the way they handled my reservation issue was completely unacceptable. When I arrived, they somehow "lost" my original reservation and created a new one instead -- resulting in me being charged twice. I provided proof of both charges and attempted multiple times to resolve the issue professionally, but the staff and management were dismissive from the start. The manager was incredibly rude, refused to actually listen to the situation, repeatedly implied I was lying, and showed zero interest in helping fix a mistake their hotel created. Rather than taking accountability or even attempting to investigate the duplicate charge properly, I was met with hostility and disrespect throughout the entire conversation. To make matters worse, Expedia even reached out to the hotel on my behalf to help resolve the duplicate charge, and they still refused to issue a refund. Despite clear documentation and third-party involvement, the hotel continued denying responsibility and offered absolutely no solution. I have never experienced such poor treatment from a hotel, especially over an issue that was clearly caused by their own reservation system and staff errors. Between the lack of upkeep, disorganized operations, terrible communication, and unbelievably unprofessional management, I would strongly advise others to stay elsewhere. There are far too many hotels that actually value their guests, treat people with respect, and take responsibility when mistakes happen.

No response. 5/12/2026 : I call the phone number dedicated to the gift card "department". No one answers. I leave a detailed message asking for a call back or response to my previous email. No response. 5/13/2026 : I again call the gift card "department". Again no one answers. I leave a second message. No response. 5/13/2026 : I call the hotel front desk and I am transferred to the hotel spa. Someone answers! Yay! I explain the situation and I am told "the batch of gift cards purchased during that time period would have all been sent out already". Um. Ok. Where is it then? Can you confirm MY gift card was sent out? The spa person tells me she will find the gift card person and ask her to look into this. I am told someone will call me back. Plot twist...No one calls me back. 5/13/2026 : Late in the day...My dad texts me to tell me they received a note in their mailbox telling them to go pick up a package at the post office. Dad and stepmom have to take time out of their day to drive to the post office. They discover the Edgewater did in fact send the gift card but DID NOT PUT SUFFICIENT POSTAGE ON THE ENVELOPE (that I paid $7.00 to have mailed). Dad has to pay for the postage shortage. In summary... A shockingly repugnant experience. The employees at the Edgewater are lazy and, quite frankly, kind of stupid. They couldn't care less about conducting an ethical transaction much less a positive experience. I sincerely hope everyone at the Edgewater has the day they deserve. **Update** Wow. They didn't even mail the card until 5/10/2026. The person who prepared the gift card had to write the words "Happy Mother's Day" on the card and then waited until Mother's Day to send it...with insufficient postage (that I paid $7.00 for). The Edgewater is downright repulsive.

First of all it's hard to read because of small letters and faint low contrast type. Secondly much of it presumes substantial prior knowledge especially about the entertainers. It's rare when I know who and entertainer is that they're advancing. The ads should say something about their style genre And anything else that would help you determine if they're worth taking the trouble to get to. If you wouldn't presume so much prior knowledge intending only to serve insiders and University youth you could include older generations And benefit The advertiser and enrich the community. Also editorial should be presented as a point counterpoint they should never be a single point of view. If you don't have a credible counterview you should withhold the commentary until you do.

He has decided to leave the paper, and that is a true shame. He carried the paper for all of these years, and frankly the rest of the writers while O.K., are so heavily biased it is not even funny. Biased towards the left - the FAR left. If you want equal coverage, fair coverage of Democrats AND Republicans - do not pick up this paper. The heavy bias in favor of liberals cannot be overstated. I find it odd that a couple of months after the protests at the Capitol when in response to letters about a article in the paper that I guess did not have enough liberal spin, Bill Lueders said the paper is NOT biased towards any group and covers all groups equally - he is gone. His attitude towards the protests apparently hurt him as well, as he was perceived as not being as gung-ho in favor of the protests as he could have been. It all smells to me like he was forced out. Just my opinion. However it took place, the paper has lost Bill Lueders. And that means one less reason to pick up this paper weekly, when you can get all of the info online as well for free.

The entire experience from initial contact to final drop off was stellar. I got a quote from another company, which was more than double what Cruise-A-Palooza quoted. I also liked that C-A-P's quote included the bus, driver, fuel, mileage and tax. (The only thing it doesn't include is the driver's tip.) The bus was really modern, super clean, had a screen (in case you wanted to stream anything) and a great blue tooth speaker system we connected to. Barb in the office was so communicative ... we never worried the bus wouldn't show, and Nathaniel, our driver, texted when he was on the way and was great all night. Having the bus really made the night special. I highly recommend Cruise-A-Palooza!
