They use good equipment and install it close to where you might want it. Calling the service number gets you a full voice mailbox. Monthly charge is good and once you get a human they are capable. Make sure each sensor is individually identified along with control panels. You don't want to have to guess which device needs a new battery if have a lot. read more

I been a customer of this company for about two years. I am a first time home owner and at the time when I sign up for their services it seems like good idea. I paid about $5000 dollars for equipment and services. Two years ago when I sign up for their services they DID NOT disclose the fact that I HAVE to request on a yearly basis an alarm system permit with the City of San Antonio which involves additional fees. After two years I have their services I got a bill of $$$250 dollars from the city of San Antonio. At first glance at the bill/letter from the city I honestly thought it was a fraud. Upon doing research in google I found out that it is a city code, that is required, that it is a must have. The next business day after reading this bill/letter I reach out to my district council woman office to confirm if this was a legitimate letter because I never heard of that in my life. My district council woman office staff advise me to reach out to the company that sold my equipment because they were supposed to tell me about this city requirement. I called them yesterday and I got transferred three time until I was able to speak to MERIEL BUNDA which she is the Operations Administrator for this company. I explained the situation and she said I told you two years ago. I told her anything that has to do with money I always remember. We were back and forth. Long story short she emailed me a copy of our conversation two years ago and sure enough her words were deceiving and not informative at all. She said "you might " instead you HAVE TO, its a must NOT MIGHT, for god shake its a city code. She kept saying "some cities". This company did not do FULL disclose for these additional fees with the city for having an alarm system. I was deceive, and I need this issues resolved. read more

Everything sound good with them, but after installation and all the charge, the system is poor, we still having issues, the ring door doesn't work and was unsecured on the wall, and they charge, now the cameras are loose at the back yard, they charge for everything. read more

I thought I was getting away from Vivint to find myself in bed with a Vivint imposter. After being transferred several times I was finally connected to Ryan...Lets just say not a very pleasant individual to speak with. Long story short I just wanted to cancel my account and he completely refused and tried to offer me an incentive he should have offered over a year ago when I first called. We recently upgraded my parent's home to an Alamo Smart Home Security System. My Father is retired and Mom needs medical supervision. We were able to combine the security alarm system with the medical alert devices; AND add a doorbell camera and smart lock for a fraction of what they were paying with the landline connected systems. They have been able to provide a solution for everything. Romeo, our installer, was as nice as they get and he didn't leave until BOTH of my parents could operate the features of their new smart home. I am not happy at the moment with this company. They told me i needed to have someone else sign documents with me so I ended up asking my BF at the time. When they did my contract was one amount however when i got my bill it was double, they said we signed a contract for the higher amount and I said there is no way I did I reviewed it all in detail and wanted to know who signed my name on a higher amount with the higher payment! They said that they had to fix it. Now that they said they fixed it I had to resign documents however my ex BF will no longer do it. I have been trying to reach these people to rectify this situation and the sales person will no longer call me back! I can't have my ex on the system had all this been correct in the beginning i would not be going through all this chaos! I need them to come remove it ASAP but no one will contact me from the sales team!!!!!!! When they wanted the sale they were responsive now that they fraudently changed everything I can not get anyone to call me back!! I should have kept scrolling and read all their reviews! read more

I called a couple places and kicked around a DIY solution and ended up going with Alamo. They were the first company I spoke to that sounded like they had a clue what I was talking about (and we talked about some weird stuff) and that's important. They came in, did a takeover of the wired sensors, added some wireless ones, setup the automation and everything's working great. Every question I had, they were able to answer. Every thought I had about expansion, they had ideas. We talked about UniFi gear too and while they sell it, they didn't press me to let them install and manage it (it's in my wheelhouse). When I need to grow this setup, I'm not just calling them back because they setup the current system, I'm calling them back because they're smart and good to work with. read more

I was excited to get a door lock. I was excited to be able to see people at my door & have a camera, I like being able to lock & unlock my door from my phone. Really, I am happy with all the features. I do not like the service of a particular guy that works for this company. Repeatedly, I have tried to fix the situation with him to no avail. He told me he was NOT making any special requests. All I asked for was a copy of my signed contract & a letter of cancellation that he supposedly sent to Brinks on May 20, 2020. Brinks has not received any such letter & I am still getting payment taken out of my account. Yes, I did cancel with them myself, but I was lied to. Alamo is taking out more money than I was quoted. Apparently, there is a charge that was not revealed to me from the get go. It would be nice if I was told in the beginning. I simply would like to get this settled.
