Was promised wired cameras and their techs couldn't figure it out. I was pretty surprised until we dealt with their install supervisor Devin, I quickly realized why their guys didn't know how to install cameras. Devin attempted to patch a hole in my wall (see picture attached). When I called their customer service line to ask for the ADT corporate number, the lady on the phone said she "is corporate" and all ADT issues go to her to address, she clearly underestimated Google. One star is being generous. When I purchased my security equipment last year, I was told that the equipment could be transferred to a new address. The salesperson who sold me the system, the technician that installed it, and the technician that uninstalled it all verified this. Safe haven has such horrible customer service, i was charge with nothing installed. Installation was schedule to install but they try to sent the tech on a earlier time that was agree on even when i reply no to the message they sent to my phone about the time the tech is coming at. i was at work so couldnt be home so told the tech i will call to reschedule. Look into my bank account later in the evening and saw safe haven charging me (over $100) for nothing installed yet, they ignore the communication replying back to their message replying no on the time frame they sending their tech for not being a good time frame. During the process, a representative from Safe Haven approached me, claiming to be recommended by DR Horton. Based on that trust, I agreed to a $50/month ADT home monitoring service. What I wasn't told until it was too late: 1. A $1,000 charge for equipment installation - completely undisclosed until after installation. 2. A 36-month contract with ADT - not Safe Haven - including automatic renewal and a steep $1,800 cancellation fee. I only discovered these details after I had already signed, under pressure, and without a clear explanation. I couldn't afford the $1,000 upfront, so the technician set up a 3-month installment plan. When my final payment didn't go through (due to a banking issue), I received an email from Safe Haven stating they referred me to collections - claiming they had tried to reach me, which they hadn't. Now, I'm stuck in a long-term contract with expensive monthly fees and dealing with unnecessary financial stress - all from a service I was misled into. This experience has completely soured what should have been a joyful milestone in my life. Avoid Safe Haven at all costs, and be cautious of any "recommended" vendors by DR Horton. The Salesperson failed to disclose important information: Redbird Ranch Neighborhood told me to call Safe Haven for Security Services. After 14 months Safe Haven dropped my account and told me that I have to call ADT with any further issues. They said they are only required to provide services for 14 months and then I am no longer their client. The problem with changing over to ADT is that Safe Haven equipment is not compatible with ADT, so the ADT technician had to replace some of my equipment. The Safe Haven salesperson never disclosed this important information when I first signed up. Next time I know to sign up directly with ADT so that I don't have any issues 14 months later and the technician won't have difficulty addressing my issues. read more

Steer clear at all costs - after MONTHS of false alarms, at least two dozen phone calls, and multiple attempts to have a technician come inspect my clearly faulty hardware, the EASIEST option to fix my problem was to pay $1000+ to cancel my contract. That should tell you what it's like working with this branch. Note that they'll attempt to charge you $25 per service call if you've had your system for longer than three months - even if your problem is faulty hardware. You'd think they'd want to prevent a false alarm call every three days, but evidently they've got plenty of time to kill. On top of that, if an ADT technician comes to visit, he'll tell you that the system this third-party retailer installed is rarely used by ADT ("in my three years doing house calls I've seen this system maybe two times") to the point where the ADT technician can only guess at what the issue is. With an ADT system. Oh, and let's not forget to mention that in addition to all of this, your initial contract term is for THREE years - a fact that is phrased in such a convoluted way it's easy to overlook, and conveniently placed apart from the clause noting that if you want to cancel your contract, you'll be charged for a majority of your remaining term. So if you start to have problems with your hardware and you find it ridiculous to pay $25 for a service call, on top of the $50 you're paying monthly, after paying even more for just the initial installation, be prepared to shell out even MORE cash just for the privilege of cancelling your contract to prevent wasting the police's time on false alarms - all because it's an easy way to make a quick buck for Safe Haven. I hope and pray people have the foresight to Google "Safe Haven ADT" and see this before signing a contract, because you're only asking for a headache and an efficient way to burn your cash. read more

Run away! Protect yourself. Get security with somebody else. It will be less headache...guaranteed. The sales representative lied about capabilities, equipment, and costs to make the sell. Technicians tried to clarify and fix the misinformation. I canceled. The "win-back team" called me & offered apologies and some free equipment to correct the mishap. New technician installed, but left all the screens off the windows (from installing sensors). I never heard of screen removal to add security sensors. The manager told me it would cost $85 to send a technician back out to finish/fix what his technician did wrong. Bad business! Once they get your money & lock you into the FOREVER contract; you will never get the communication and care you deserve. Still awaiting a call back. Worth it to cancel for their outrageous fee of $3,500. I should've blocked their company's number. Coincidentally, I don't know anyone where the sale rep and business are based. Yet, a wire transfer for $1,500 was requested from my bank account without my permission. I don't like liars or thieves. Please, protect yourself. read more

On September 12, 2020 I moved into my new residence and had an alarm system put in. During that time the technician blew out my air conditioner unit and his supervisor, who was on scene following the incident. He informed me at the time that they could not fix the problem that they caused and that I should contact the A/C company for the house and that they would pay the service call. To date, I have not been reimbursed and I have had to call them out for additional problems with the system since that time. I have also contacted them on several occasions to be continuously told that their district manager is on it. We are now entering the month of November and they have not even had the decency to contact me to keep me apprised of the situation. So, I don't know what is happening. All I know is that I have a bill for $179 that is increasing with interest on my charge card since September. They are not reliable, and I am sorry that I had actually recommended them to other neighbors. I would definitely not recommend them to anyone else. At this point I would really like to switch and go with someone else, but I know that just because I go with another company does not mean I will not have problems. Safe Haven stated that they sent me an email notifying me that I was required to get a permit and at no time did I receive such an email. In the legal paperwork it stated that I was responsible for any permit fees if required. Not one stating that I was responsible and getting a permit in my city. They are refusing to pay up for their mistake. read more
