Things have changed a lot here since my first review and I think I must revise the star rating down. Several times my teeth cleanings were cancelled 1 day before the appointment. Also, the doctor would not check on you during teeth cleaning appointments unless you book in advance and pay an extra fee. I never saw this before as dentists are supposed to check on you every 6 months during your teeth cleaning visits. The last teeth cleaning price I paid was $210. Standard price in Vegas is $129 and that includes dentist check-ups every 6 months. Things are not going the right way here. read more

My wife went to see this Dentist in 2023. At 12/2024, I received a bill for over a year of finance charges on a balance due but never received notice of the amount due. No mail invoice no phone call. I had been a patient for about seven years and was very happy with Dr. Ozaki and his hygienist and office staff. Then 2024 happened and it all went downhill. I was "interrogated" about my insurance and employment. I told them nothing has changed and provided my insurance card. I checked my dental providers and Dr. Ozaki is still on the list. Something happened and a "substitute dentist" stood in for Dr. Ozaki, which I understand life happens. Second yearly dental cleaning was scheduled at the time of the first cleaning. The morning of I get a call saying they have to cancel and as I'm trying to reschedule on the phone, they start saying, "I can't hear you, I can't hear you, call back when I can hear you," and hung up. Dr Ozaki is an incredible Dentist. Honest, forward, and highly communicative. I was a new patient and got there 45 minutes early. I was seen almost immediately. The Dentist Tech was gentle, sweet, and very professional. The office staff are careing, empathetic, and amazing. I had a severe infection and a few other problems that got me sent to a specialist for other problems. The dentist was very focused on my care and well being. Focusing to get me out of pain as fast as possible and the right way. Dr Ozaki is available to his patients all the time by office and cell. Had dental cleaning scheduled 6 months in advance. The night before, I received a text saying they needed to cancel my cleaning for the NEXT DAY, and that they would call me when they have an opening! Seriously, is this a joke? Several days later and still have not heard back from them, so I guess they don't need my business. I would advise NOT scheduling here. Look elsewhere for dentist. My first appointment was an exam 6 months ago, and it was just ok. Dentist was an associate and nothing great. She repeatedly tried to sell me 'other' services because I have no dental issues and she was desperately trying to make money off of me. Just left this office and I've never been so impressed by a dental visit before! New patient paperwork was minimal, wait time was barely enough to read 2 pages of my book, and I was introduced to Anita- the cheerful, friendly, and professional dental assistant with who I would spend the majority of my visit. Anita was downright bubbly and made an effort to get to know me as a person while also maintaining professionalism, explaining every procedure she was going to do, and giving additional dental info tidbits to help keep my teeth as healthy and attractive as possible. Dr. Ozaki was also super professional and made sure to go over my concerns before moving on, making it very clear that he could always be reached in the event of an emergency. Anita mentioned she has worked for Dr. Ozaki for decades, which I think speaks volumes about their level of professionalism and patient care. Ultimately spent just over an hour here including xrays, cleaning, and scheduling additional work for a chipped tooth. Front desk staff were super helpful at answering some questions about my dental insurance coverage and went out of their way to look up pricing to replace a retainer. After you press 2 once again, it's press 4 for this 5 for that. Then it's " This is (name) I'm not at my desk right now please leave a detailed message , I will get back with you within 24 hours!" Well folks, guess what, none of that at Dr. Ozaki's office. You get a pleasant answer from Brenda. " " Dr. Ozaki's office, this is Brenda,how can I help you today.? Usually Brenda, sometimes Melissa. Both are at front desk, almost as Ambassadors to greet you with a friendly smile, no matter what kind of day they have had. So, unlike pretty much everyone else here, I had one of the very most frustrating, unhappy, and just plain sad experiences with this office of ANY health professional I've ever interacted with. Here's my story: six days before moving to Las Vegas, one of my molars decided that this very stressful time would be the PERFECT scenario in which to pretty much explode into 4 pieces. Not having a dentist at the time, I read the awesome reviews for Dr. Ozaki and called to make an appointment, giving the receptionist all necessary contact info. On the day of my appointment, (7a, the day after I moved,) I got up at 530a (after one of the worst moves of my life and a fairly sleepless night,) drove 30 minutes, and got to his office at 6:45a. After waiting 15 minutes, the receptionist called me up, only to inform me that 1) they somehow didn't manage to put either my name or my contact info into their computer when I'd made the appointment, and 2) that Dr. Ozaki wasn't even in due to a "personal situation" and that I couldn't be seen. They weren't even able to give me a follow-up appointment, saying that they would call me to reschedule when they knew what was going on. The receptionist then said, "well, we can at least take an x-ray so you have something to show for coming here and maybe Dr. Ozaki can look at it." I had the x-ray, paid $40, and left with my tooth in shatters, the dentin exposed and bleeding. Shell-shocked pretty well describes how I felt at that point. It gets worse. Fast forward to now, almost TWO MONTHS later, and I have yet to receive ANY communication from this office. Believe me, I understand personal emergencies, and if they'd had the decency to have followed up with me, even if it was just to say that they were unable to help me and I needed to go elsewhere, that would have been fine. But, once again, zero communication. I waited a week with a painful, bleeding tooth, and then decided that this was ridiculous and started looking for another dentist. Fortunately, I was able to be seen almost immediately by the FABULOUS Dr. Pho Luong, at West Valley Dental on Tropicana, and so managed to (barely,) avoid a root canal. I am now very happily with that practice (and have also taken both my sons and my nephew there..and will have my 6 crowns done there, as well.) And so, despite the frustration and unhappiness of trying to receive care with Dr. Ozaki, it has, luckily, had a happy ending. But to have been ignored by Dr. Ozaki's practice and left with a dental emergency (which was very close to becoming a very serious one as I waited...and waited...to hear from his office,) is unconscionable and, honestly, is close to medical malpractice via neglect. I would, at least, like to have my $40 refunded and an apology for having been ignored when I really needed help. That would give me some hope that the people at this practice have a conscience and some compassion and decency and aren't utterly incompetent. But I'm not holding my breath, seeing as how good communication seems to be a total mystery to them. I just hope that whatever this "personal emergency" was is now happily resolved and that this practice gets its act together before more people are injured by neglect. read more

I am in the process of having extensive dental work done; initially, I had planned on having all of my teeth removed and getting the all-on-four implant procedure. I was referred to Dr. Ozaki so that he could plan and place my new teeth (after the oral surgeon completed the implants); Dr. Ozaki COULD HAVE taken the easy route (and big pay check) for doing a full mouth restoration! Instead, he has placed a temp arch on my upper jaw (and worked FOR MANY HOURS) to make this arch comfortable and natural (so that I can confidently smile in public), while he is diligently consulting with colleagues about my case, to save as many natural teeth as possible, do permanent bridges and just a few implants. He is not only the BEST Dentist (or doctor), I have EVER known, he is a kind, compassionate human being that didn't pass judgment on my horribly neglected dental health! He follows up with me CONSTANTLY (on evenings and weekends), always on his own time, just to make sure things are going well! Heck, he made time to see me when his office was closed on New Year's Eve! He stopped for a moment to answer his cell phone (I was sure it must be a family member wondering when he was coming home to celebrate the new year with them), but no-it was another patient calling the doctor on his private cellphone as he was in pain; Dr. Ozaki apologized for stepping away for a moment; I overheard him giving the patient help and guidance and agreeing to seeing him ANY day over the holiday weekend that the patient was able to make it in! On my very first office visit, Dr. Ozaki gave me his private cellphone number too and said "call or text me anytime...evenings and weekends are no problem" !!! That's just the type of person he is...and OBTW, he is a VERY experienced, skilled clinician that is going to take as much time as needed, to make your smile PERFECT! In closing, a dental office is still a "business"! Dr. Ozaki's office is modern and immaculate with the latest equipment; I believe that you can glean a lot about the character of the head of any company, by observing the office staff. Dr. Ozaki's staff members are warm, friendly, competent, hard-working and loyal (and they are all VERY happy people)! Lastly, his prices are VERY fair and competitive (I told him he charges too little)!!! I feel SO lucky that Dr. Ozaki is my dentist!!! read more

"I'd rather die than go to the dentist" Many people dread going to the dentist. Fortunately, I am not one of those people thanks to Dr. Ozaki. In fact, as weird as it may sound, I look forward to coming here. I come here twice a year for checkup and cleaning. Used to go to different office but would always find an excuse to cancel the appointment since I don't like the unfriendly staffs that made my annual dental visit feel like a punishment prisoners receive in Guantanamo Bay. During the whole cleaning procedure, I would close my eyes and think about how I rather live through a zombie apocalypse than being tortured at the dentist office. That has changed. Best Dentist I have been to in my adult life. Dr Ozaki was referred to me by a friend after I visited another Dentist in Las Vegas who quoted me $7000 to remove 1 year old crowns and replace them. Thankfully I sought a second opinion from Dr Ozaki. He prescribed a mouth rinse that cleared up my problem at a cost of $12.00.
