Lately the wait for checks have been a bit longer because of demand but that's par for the course. Generally, I've had a good experience with them. Unfortunately this recent visit was pretty frustrating. When I made my appointment for the next available opening three days later, there weren't many time slots available. I told the service person that I was concerned because needed to be done by a certain time and they said it should be fine and it takes less than an hour so I shouldn't have any problems. On the day of my appointment, I arrived early so that I could be checked in as soon as my window was open. They quoted me one hour and it ended up being 1.5 hours. My car just sat in the parking lot for an hour before they even started working on it. Once they finally pulled my car in, the actual process took less than 30 minutes. They took off the tire with the nail in it, determined it couldn't be repaired, and replaced both back tires. The actual work was quick but the wait times even with an appointment was the frustrating part. If you have somewhere you need to be afterward, I'd recommend leaving yourself more time than what they even quoted you.

I'm in the service/hospitality business too and I know it can get busy, however just because Discount Tire & Service Center in Irvine already collected $632 from me doesn't mean they shouldn't return messages from a new customer within 12-hours of the service. They have an alignment Rack on site. I also needed major brake repair. A 36 year old truck requires a high degree of patience, skill and perseverance uncommon with many mechanics these days. I also went back to get that tire repaired (see photo) I went shopping around for a good price, at multiple locations. Pep Boys did give the best price for my specialty tire. that's including installation, balancing, etc. Once again, five stars, - I always usually wait a few days before I do a review on car repair / services, to ensure validity.
