Everyone was so polite and in good spirits. The plane was clean and smelled fine. I think this my third flight with Alaska and i have not had a bad crew. Everyone was professional and the flight was on time. My only issue is width of seatsI'm halfway teasing bc I gained weight but there are others that may have a difficult time being comfort in the seats. The flight attendants definitely cannot gain bc the aisle feels like "if you're a over a size 12" you may have to turn side ways a bit I will fast a bit before next flight

I have been flying with Alaska Airlines for quite some time now. In all honesty, I don't know why their reviews are so low. I've noticed several upgrades to their planes after they acquired Virgin America a few years ago. They maintained the neon lighting feature from Virgin America's airbuses as well as the monitors in the back of each seat with the ability to watch movies or text other passengers. Alaska Airlines has been around for a long time. They fly coast to coast with travel to Mexico as well. They have their frequent flyer program in which if you sign up for their credit card, you'll receive several perks. Of course, you'll accumulate miles as you fly with them. They also offer a buddy pass once a year for you and a guest to fly together for the price of 1 ticket. Finally, you get to check in one bag for free if you book your flight using your Alaska Airlines credit card. Anyway, I'm so glad that they've added more comfortable seats. Legroom is always going to be an issue in coach but if you book the exit row, you'll have ample room to stretch out your legs. You can also prepay for meals prior to boarding the plane or order once you are inflight. The restrooms are smaller than they've ever been, quite possibly the smallest restrooms that I've seen on an airplane. The staff at Alaska Airlines are very friendly and accommodating. They're always willing to help you out as needed. When you scan your boarding pass, they always greet you by name. Their goal is to make this a comfortable journey as they show their appreciation for your patronage. I've flown on different airlines and I always find myself coming back to Alaska Airlines when flying domestic. They're punctual and they take care of their passengers!

Note open seat Alaska said didn't exist.

#AlaskaAirlines If I could give no stars I would. It's one thing to make a mistake--we all do--but fix it as best you can. And more importantly don't lie about it. I fly to LA a fair amount on business. I usually fly other carriers and have never had a really bad experience. This week I tried Alaska. What was I thinking. I paid to upgrade to premium seating--my call and I was happy to. You get what you pay for...or so I thought. I did it by phone to make sure it was right. Ugh. I get to the airport and they screwed it up. I paid for a premium seat and they put me in economy. No big deal, they could just fix it... honor the contract and put me in premium. I spoke to the agents. Nope. They told me there are no seats. I called the help line and they said no seats. Ok sucks but it happens. Except they just plain lied. Turns out there are open seats in premium....No joke. After all that. See photo. They could have easily fixed all this and given me what I paid for. It would have been nothing. So they finally refunded the cost of the upgrade I didn't get and they sounded like I should be grateful they did that. (Insult to injury, I just paid more for internet access.) Remind me why I didn't fly #Americanairlines or #JetBlue or pretty much any other airline. Honestly Spirit is better.

I've had to wait in the airplane for 2 hours!!! Only for them to tell us that the plane is 7000 pounds overweight!!! They needed to get rid of 30 ppl, they will be taking a flight tomorrow!!! They took out all of our luggage!!! Now we are still waiting for this to be sorted out!!!

Upgraded to first class for ZERO reason. The seats were bigger but uncomfortable and dirty. I asked for a blanket because of course it was freezing and the stewardess looked at me like I was crazy. No tv or entertainment set. I basically upgraded for a small bottle of water. The service was just as bad. I should have just stuck to my normal boarding pass.

I used to be very loyal to America West Airlines out of Phoenix. Then, it was US Airways flying…read moreacross the country, again from Phoenix, and I was getting upgraded regularly. Now, it's American Airlines that I frequent, along with past America West Airlines and US Airways patrons. I find that, as with any other airline, customer service is often better than not, but there are always a few hiccups. With American Airlines, you can get someone on the phone, on a chat, on social media, or in person to assist, and with some respect on our part, we can often get what we need. I rarely have luggage issues, though there was one time when my bag was damaged, and American Airlines gave me a replacement while they repaired my original. I regularly fly in and out of the American Airlines gates at Phoenix Sky Harbor and frequent hubs like Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago O'Hare, Philadelphia, and Charlotte. I even make it out to Washington DC on occasion, having either visited the area or have a layover through as I did today. Often, my travels require a connecting flight, and my flights are, more often than not, on time and without delays in departure or arrival. With status, an American Airlines credit card, and membership in CLEAR and Global Entry, I do not pay for luggage, receive priority luggage handling, board early, speed through security, sometimes receive upgrades, and access lounges. Traveling has become more of a hobby and a habit, and with American Airlines as my go-to airline, I accumulate miles quickly while also earning status and Loyalty Point rewards. I have two travel premium credit cards: the AAdvantage Executive Mastercard, which offers complimentary Admirals Club access, and the American Express Platinum card, which offers lounge access, travel credits, and complimentary CLEAR and Global Entry memberships. With these two credit cards, I can access the Admiral's Club at Orlando International Airport or The Club at MCO. I may even be able to visit the Plaza Premium Lounge, though I've never checked. Also, through T-Mobile, I received free Wi-Fi on American Airlines flights (though now it is free for anyone with an AAdvantage account). Through my American Airlines AAdvantage status, I get upgrades or free paid snacks and drinks on flights, along with other benefits. To retain status each year, you need to earn Loyalty Point through flying, credit card spending, and promotions. You can also earn Loyalty point rewards after hitting 175,000 points, 250,000 points, and so on. While it is difficult to receive upgrades due to the large number of people at the Executive Platinum status tier, the benefits I do receive are worthwhile. I have also experienced technical issues on flights, but not enough to cause me to abandon American Airlines, especially when every other airline faces the same challenges. All in all, American Airlines is a great company and does as well, if not better than, any of the other major airlines.

Customer Service certainly could improve. But part of that service, in addition to the reps who you…read morespeak to on the phone, is having a RELIABLE flight schedule. I am looking at Yelp reviews from 4 years ago which sound exactly like my experience today. A delayed flight in Vermont caused a group of 4 to miss our connecting flight, which inexplicably decided to leave 10 minutes EARLY as we were RUNNING to our gate. Unnecessary. Then we call the airline and get some rude woman and then her rude supervisor, neither of whom knew American Airline's policy on accommodation when THEIR flight delay caused us to be stranded in D.C. overnight. They both told us we didn't qualify for hotel rooms and food vouchers, which was not correct. Finally I called and got a different representative with completely different results. This morning we arrived at the airport hours early and...you guessed it, our flight is delayed once again. I hate Frontier Airlines for their predatory bag fees, but American Airlines' issue is customer service based. DO BETTER AA. Do better! Monitor your customer service reps calls. And get your flights on schedule. People spend a lot of money on travel plans. The airline flight schedule should NOT be unreliable. I will be very wary of using this airline in the future. I certainly cannot recommend it.

It was cramped and crowded and frankly uncomfortable. Restaurants in Terminal A are terrible as well. There's nowhere to eat if you get counter service, and the sit down restaurant (Reservoir) wasn't great either. Again, this is more on the airport, but if you're flying Southwest out of DCA, don't plan on getting here too early as there's not much to see or do. You don't have access to the rest of the airport once you're through security. I will say the ticketing counter was super friendly with checking a bag, and it was easy to get through security, and also a short walk to the gate. All pluses... but Southwest needs to invest in the terminal! It's a mess.

Or perhaps it was the way they just THREW my bag onto the conveyer belt right in front of me (no hiding the bag brutality). Yes. I think that's what it is - the utter disrespect for one's property in your face. Before the purchasing seats it used to be quite disorganized with the onboarding process (cat herding) but now with assigned seating (cattle herding) it seems to be better, however the gate agents always appear to be angry and speaking loudly to toddlers all the time. On the upside, the planes appear newer but if the FA's also seem angry and annoyed with their job, it's all moot. Ticket fares are affordable. I guess you get what you pay for.

I was dropped off since I needed to arrive before metro started. If you are dropped off, there isn't much walking to security. I flew with Frontier on the way to Vegas (via Colorado). I signed up for mileage points and was forced to download the app, just to check in. The app was informative. I just don't like having lots of apps on my phone. I had issues with checking in when I thought I needed a TSA pre check traveler number. I called Frontier to get help. I was advised to go to the airport early to get the number. All Frontier had to do was tell me TSA pre check was optional. I was stressed until a TSA agent called me. If you ever need tsa - text them at the number on the web site. If you call the tsa number, you are a hostage to a list of recordings that don't always give the choice you need to resolve your hurdle. If you are using Frontier's app to check in, just press "next" when prompted to provide your tsa precheck number (if you don't have one). The boarding passes were on my phone and I didn't have to be twitterpated anymore. The flight to Denver was awesome. The flight crew was friendly and helpful. When I asked someone if they could help lift my bag into the overhead bin, the employee helped me and also informed me that employees aren't really supposed to help anymore due to injuries from lifting heavy bags. The flight attendants on the long flight from Chicago to San Diego were HORRIBLE. I had a problem with my in-seat TV screen. It did not work after takeoff. The male flight attendant was super distant with me, compared to his interactions with other customers, from the beginning. He would not make eye contact with me at all from the moment I boarded, and throughout the flight. While she was serving drinks, I asked the female flight attendant for help with my tv and she said that all that she could do was have the pilot reset it. We had a female pilot so I thought that this was cool. Also, on my flight to my destination on Jet Blue, they did a reset of the TVs shortly after we got into the air; so I was familiar with this method to resolve the issue. The reset did not happen. She never came back to my row (15). None of the flight attendants came back to assist with my tv on this 4.5 hour flight from Chicago to SD. The male flight attendant was serving coffee, halfway through the flight, and I asked him if he could get my tv fixed. He said that he would come back (he made it clear that he was too busy) to check it. He never came back. I spent the whole time in the air without in-flight entertainment, as United apparently does not have a mobile app for watching anything either. The male flight attendant was also rude in my interaction with him. He made me feel like an insignificant passenger. He gave the folks seated with me 2 snack servings and was super kind to them when he spoke. He gave me one snack serving, glared at me when he asked which snack I wanted, and then rudely threw it on my seat tray. I will not fly United again.
