Old Fashioned from a can

Alaska Airlines was best during our trip to Honolulu. The price was great for round trip for two. We did the premium upgrade, wife said the four inches and free drink was worth the cost. Anna, the CSR in Boise was a delight to interact with getting a seat change.

Look for "healthier" vending machine at C gate...

Well I love the airline in general, & often, but not always- the Boise Airport ALaska front checkin agents are helpful (always takes a few tries to get them to add my ADA needs... but eventually they comply)... the C gate agents though... ugh... almost always get nasty looks, stares & usually lectures too... when I ask for "courtesy assistance to plane"... though it's always noted when I book the flight, & then I go thru it again at Checkin... the actual gate agents always act like since I'm an adult no assistance is avail... I calmly say "please look at notes" & then some nice lady reads notes & then helps me... I simply tell them where I'll be waiting & that do to my cognitive issues I need early boarding. Why they make this humiliating EVERY time here I don't understand. Again I love ALaska Air, & most other airport agents are awesome- there just is a consistent challenge with the C gate agents at Boise airport... since before Covid-19 eta...

Poor customer service at the ticket counter, and did not stay with a passenger needing assistance at boarding. Very disappointing.

Overall, I think it's OK airline. I do miss the free bags because they don't even have first class…read morebut they have really good early flights so I'm happy about that. There's not a lot of seating in these seats are pretty small. Overall, it was OK.

I don't travel often, but when I do I always take Southwest ( for 20+ years now). Over the years…read moretheir service has been incredible, their family first boarding is a life saver, and although I never check in bags- that was a nice perk. Last year my family did a trip to Kauai via Southwest and they made it so easy. This year we did a trip to Boise and it was a nightmare. First off, the assigned seating makes no sense. We were either in the back row and in class 3 or in the front of the plane and in group 8. Made it very hard to put our bags away. They took away their family boarding which meant we had to walk down the tiny aisle with toddlers, multiple bags and multiple car seats hitting other passengers as we made our way down ( it just makes no sense because you have assigned seating- just let me have some extra time to settle). The lady at the gate check gave me hell with our carseat although it was a Cosco ( airplane approved). Then on the plane, the steward told us to put my daughter rare facing and I thought it was a new regulation- so I followed. Then halfway through the ride, another stewardess came out telling us that in good faith she can't let us fly this way and made us relocate in the middle of turbulence which caused my kid to get scared and start screaming. On our return trip, they also told us at the check in counter that our bags were fine, but prior to boarding they made me check in my bag due to space issues. But on the plane there was plenty of overhead space available. To put a cherry on top of everything, our steward ( who may have never been on a plane before) brought our drinks to the wrong aisle 5 minutes before landing and poured the tomato juice mix all over the poor guy sitting in the aisle seat. I'd still love to fly Southwest, but after this experience, I'm far more likely to shop around.
