After visiting New Zealand, I learned that Kiwis are among the warmest, kindest people that I have met on my global travels. Genuinely so willing to share their love of their country and their love of others. From initial phone calls to Air New Zealand to get a wheelchair accommodation for my octogenarian dad to inflight service, it was really a trip home that I will never forget. Thanks especially to Deborah B as well as the rest of the cabin crew who kept our family well taken care of with food, drinks, extra clean bathrooms and more. So sweet, so kind and so professional. Loved the extra leg rest in my seat. So comfy for the long haul. Great to be able to charge my phone and enjoy free WiFi. Definitely would fly Air New Zealand again if given the choice!! And you know the feeling when you're ready to get TF home, shower, and get in your own bed? Yeah you know it because I do too! Additional notifications and updates came through while we were walking to load the overhead bins and grab our seats. Welp, the bin right above our seats was full so I had to find another empty area, then in effort to not hold up traffic I ended up waiting in the back with the flight attendant while EVERYONE ELSE BOARDED. Annoyed lol. We then learned that the "loading supplies" were late and thats why we were delayed. The first class passengers meals were not delivered in a timely fashion because someone forgot to do something. A whole lot of noise that I did not want to hear. Eventually though, I made it to my seat and buckled up. Cool. Yall thought this review was over? It's not. The passengers behind me did nothing, and I mean nothing to tame/monitor/stop/control/calm their children. They tore my seat the fuck up! My back!! Our backs!! They screamed loudly, kicked my seat the entire flight, and annoyed the shit out of me. I understand that children are children, I get it! But my goodness, get control of your damn kids bruh!! Worst flight of my life. Thankful to be back home. We had the seats with extra legroom and that was nice. But whatever. Oh! Although there has been alot of negative associated with SWA lately because of the elimination of 2 free checked bags and now utilizing assigned seating and the elimination of the a, b, and c boarding groups. As a swa visa cardholder depending on your status, you still retain at the very least 1 free checked bag. I found the new boarding groups less chaotic and crowded which was a relief for me. Annoying is the word I would use to describe people who all at once are trying to put their unchecked bags in the overhead bins. Not so much this flight out of Hou Hobby! Although this flight was sold out everything was very smooth with the boarding procedure. I also found the assigned seating straight forward and not a bunch people trying to find an open seat all at once. The in-flight coffee is wonderful and as I said for before the best in the sky! Strangely enough the only helpful woman there WAS able to look it up and even assigned me the seat in the same class I was in on my canceled flight. A small ticketing counter which has separate queues for economy passengers and Sky Priority passengers (First class and premium elites). They have ticketing kiosks if you just need to print a boarding pass. At the gate, the seating area was comfortable and there was enough room for the number of passengers here waiting. Decent snack food options nearby or more options over near the Southwest gates. Boarding was organized and well done with separate queues for economy and Sky Priority here too. So efficient. The flight itself was good as well. Seats were comfy. Bathrooms were clean. Flight attendants were so sweet. So nice chatting with them as they shared tips about what to do in Asia. I would definitely consider flying with EVA Air again if given the chance...especially if it is on the Hello Kitty plane. So cute!

An agent helped us with our luggage because there is a weight limit of 40 pounds not 50 like other airlines. I was bringing back luggage I had intended to keep in Chicago but things changed. She helped us with tagging and getting us through the process through our phone to avoid the $25 agent fee. When it came time for my friend to get a wheelchair, we waited an hour and were told to get walking because we would miss our flight. My friend is 73 years old with spinal stenosis. We had to rush to get through security which took forever for her since she wasn't in a wheelchair and I have TSA pre check. She told me she was almost in tears because she didn't know where I was. Needless to say we barely made it to the gate on the other side of the airport where everyone had already started to board. As far as flying everything was great and we got in to Houston early. I would give 5 stars but because of the wheelchair fiasco I won't.

He patiently helped them with their luggage, clearly explained how the wheelchair service works, and even took the time to walk them through the transit process in Korea. What stood out most was his professionalism and kindness. He remained calm, friendly, and respectful throughout the entire interaction. He did not rush the process and made sure my parents understood everything before moving on. That level of care and attention made a big difference for our family. I truly appreciate his dedication and highly recommend Delta for anyone traveling through IAH.

My only 2 complaints are the whole bag weight/fee and when I got on the plane there were two different attendants giving me conflicting information! The whole max 25kg thing (55 LBS) when you are on a military orientated flight was kind of frustrating. Just an FYI it's $50 if you go over. Also, they won't even let you bring the bag on if it is more than 32kg (70 LBS). Your carry on bag must weigh less than 7 KG (15 LBS). They won't let you on the plane if it is more! The flight was long but there are plenty of movies and I didn't buy it but there was wifi I believe. All in all, if you fly Emirates.... Especially first class it is definitely worth it. Make sure you check in early the line gets really long!
