I needed some Cork Stoppers to conceal some nails that were sticking through the ceiling in one of the basement rooms. The house itself is old, probably built in the 1960's, but jeez, whoever laid the wooden beams for the foundation of this house did a terrible job. There were nails sticking out or hanging off the beams as if the builder just left it there instead of using them. I pulled out most of them and used the Cork Stoppers to conceal the remaining nails that I couldn't remove. Not to deviate from the main subject, the employee knew exactly where to find the items I needed and directed me to the exact spot. There are hundreds if not thousands of small parts or accessories on the shelves. The Cork Stoppers were located in one of the aisles at the very end of the store where I would never think to look. I was impressed that he went through all the shelves and went straight to the Cork Stoppers a few seconds after I asked him where they were located. It should be noted that there is more than just hardware in this store. This is one of my favorite places to purchase Christmas decorations. The store boasts a large section devoted to holiday displays and many unique items can be found here that aren't normally in the big box stores. I was able to find some great Charlie Brown Christmas items for the house and the office. During the summer, they have a great BBQ section filled with the latest style of grills and an accompanying shelf stocked with various dry rubs and spices from local businesses down in the lower 48. Over by the cash registers, there are shelves filled with old-school candy and snacks from years past. Idaho Spud, Necco, and Mallo Cup are some of the nostalgic brands I came across. Aside from hardware needs, this place is a great option for novelty items.

I had a 5 gallon contractors paint can in the garage from the build I opened it mixed and applied it to the walls I patched and textured but it just looked yellowish when it dried and was supposed to be egg shell white. Old paint guess it goes bad. Called them and gave them the Paint Name Type & Can Code. They stopped making that for Contractors. So they said take a picture of the can and the label bring it in and they'll make it again. Done quick under 15 mins I was out the door with 2 fresh gallons of my paint and it's a perfect match! They took my info in store and will keep it on record the formulation for 10 Years. Nice!

Point blank, the friendliness was eh but my cards came out fantastic and they worked with me to make sure it looked like a great finished product. At least Home Depot let's you return it if they screwed up. Trust me on this .. You do not want to be in the house with homeowners as you paint their walls a wrong color!! On the 28th I contacted customer support and they said the gun had arrived but wasn't ready to be picked up yet. My trip to Anchorage came and went. While there I stopped by the store but they said I couldn't pick it up yet... OK... Fine. I don't know when I'll be back to Anchorage, but whatever. Finally I got a notice on September 4th (11 days later than advertised) that my gun was ready for pickup. Well now I couldn't get to Anchorage for a bit. Should be fine right? They delayed me so they should be able to handle a delay from my end. I can't make it to Anchorage on the regular. I went to Anchorage today October 4th, to finally get my gun. I had multiple emails (the last from September 29th) saying my gun was ready for pickup. I go into the store and they couldn't find it. Then they told me that the order had automatically been cancelled because I didn't pick it up in time. They said I should have been automatically refunded. I hadn't. I also hadn't received any notice about this. I got a little heated and they threatened to kick me out of the store. Fine. I calmed down. I asked if the gun was there today. They said it was. I asked if I could buy it at the same price that I ordered it for (I ordered it on sale). They said they could not honor that. I walked out. I just got home from Anchorage and I double-checked my credit card and I still have not received a refund. They will be getting a charge-back from me as they have essentially ROBBED me at this point beyond wasting my time and being completely unhelpful in any way whatsoever. THIS STORE HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED AND I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN.

I clicked for price. Then it said "create an account". I created an account. Then it said "account still verifying". I guess they really just don't want you to buy stuff? Why are there so many hoops and hurdles to just CHECK THE PRICE of a single product. I went to the website because no one was picking up the phone at Airgas. I eventually got through, they told me a 5lb CO2 cyclinder was ~$32. Which sounded like an insane deal. I got to the store, waited in line, and told them I wanted to buy one. They said "that'll be $152.62". After some brief discussion, we figured out the $32 figure is for a FILL ONLY, not for the cylinder. Is $120.75 a good price for an empty 5lb CO2 cylinder? Not really. I found some on Amazon for $70-$80. Will Amazon ship burly, dangerous hardware like that to Alaska? Hell no. So Airgas pretty much has a monopoly and I had to pay. The people were generally nice though. Some tips: - No CO2 cylinders in the actual store, you pull up out back to get them. But, you order them in the storefront. - They also swap-out 20lb CO2 cylinders - They don't really service 10lb CO2 cylinders - Why am I so obsessed with CO2 cylcinders? For carbonating homebrew beer, of course! - Avoid their website at all costs, makes the DMV look like Hawaii

After a quick search for a local vendor for a tractor implement that we have, I found Dave's Tractor and we gave them a call. We were prepared with item numbers and such for what we needed and received a call back a short while later with a quote and availability. They were willing to remove the additional parts from the implement they had in stock to sell us and order again for themselves. Not only this, they took a credit card over the phone and since they weren't going to be at the shop, Dave was nice enough to meet up with me elsewhere to pick up the teeth. Easy peasy! We won't hesitate to contact them again if the need arises and I highly recommend giving them a call for tractor/implement needs!
