Cool Rustic Inviting Atmonsphere. Great stop to cool off and enjoy a caramel iced coffee. It is located inside Nugget Casino Carson City NV

Have been here a few times for the monthly Carson City wine walk festivities and so wanted to give the place a try for my morning coffee. Been here twice now and the good is on Sundays they have a $2 latte special (regularly $4.29) and the room/atmosphere is nice and clean. Now for the bad during both visits it was not busy as only a couple of customers came in but service still was not great, and was slow. On the 2nd visit I ordered a breakfast burrito ($4.99) and it took awhile to get. Watched them prepare, it was pre made and they placed everything in a toaster oven. Unfortunately while the outside was toasted the egg inside was still cold. Regardless it was not tasty and so would not recommend the breakfast burrito. While $2 for a vanilla latte is decent, the taste was just meh. Not bad but not something that might make me want tocome here over other choices in the area like Coma Coffee or Dutch Bros. While my experiences have not been great when I told them the burrito was still cold inside they did offer to make another right away, and when I declined they comped my coffee which was appreciated.

Pizza and wrap.

We had two meatball sandwiches, two vodka drinks and a kick ass bar tender - what more could you want in Carson City on a Thursday night?!

I've been eyeing Mayer Family Wines for a while as a possible drink spot with friends. I've stopped…read morein several times to browse their selection but this was my first visit having a beverage. Our party of 4 all enjoyed some wine and snacks. Three of us ordered flights and one of us ordered a glass of wine. The total bill before tip was about $95. For my flight, I asked the server to surprise me with three of her favorites. I had two reds and a white. They were all enjoyable. I think the best option for enjoying wine here is to buy a bottle and share with friends. The flights were fun to try new things, but not the best value. Overall, I enjoyed the vibe of Mayer and the well decorated space. The wine selection is also great for enjoying there or to-go. The small provisions area they have is also a nice touch. I will return!

Service was provided by Brian, one of the owners. Brian provided me professional and timely service. He knew his menu well and was confident in wine suggestions. Today I was in the mood for bubbles. Based on Brian's suggestion, for my 1st glass I had the Markus Huber Rose. It was a beautiful glass of sparkling wine. It was light, fresh, and delicate, with fruit and spice with hints of fresh cherries and berries, and a small taste of citrus. For my 2nd glass, I went a bit more traditional with the Faire La Féte Brut. This glass was very bright, crisp, and lively with notes of lemon and orange. I ended up having the cheese board (I ordered the cheese & charcuterie board but the cheese board came out) and it didn't disappoint. Each cheese was complex and special in their own way, yet the cheeses complemented each other. The cheeses paired beautifully with the Markus Huber Rose. The quince paste was amazing! One suggestion I would have would be to have board labels or a platter layout card for guests to reference to while they are grazing. Overall, this was a wonderful experience with delicious cheeses and beautiful wines in a relaxing environment. I definitely will be returning for another visit soon.

Needless to say, they have room for special events and private parties. So if you are looking for a venue keep them in mind. The Prime Rib was outstanding. Indeed, it was the best Prime Rib I have had in a very long time. Our waiter and the Maitre de were outstanding. They made us all feel so welcome and almost like we were family. We all are still raving about the Prime Rib. There is something so wonderful about a place treating you like family. The human connection is something we all want. It is so awesome to feel appreciated and connected to our world and others. The staff here were outstanding. Everyone commented on the service we received. The appetizers and salads were tasty. The family members who had the salmon said it was excellent. Everyone was pleased with their meal. Portions are generous. All of us remarked on how good the food was. Not to mention, the price was right. The ambiance might be a little lacking. There are no tablecloths. However, keep in mind that tablecloths come with a cost of their own. They need to be laundered and then some need to be replaced. So there would be an added cost. So the question is would you prefer a little more ambiance or a cheaper price for an excellent meal? However, if you are looking for excellent service with delicious food at a reasonable price then this is the place for you. Not to mention, that the drive to Carson is beautiful. Plus there are plenty of things to do in Carson to enjoy. Perhaps it is time to beckon back to a slower pace of life. Take a nostalgic trip to Carson to see the Capitol all decorated for Christmas. Stop in at the Nugget and enjoy a dinner at the steakhouse. I wish I could remember the name of the Maitre de and Waiter I hope that management sees this review and gives the KUDOS and a big SHOUTOUT for delivering such great service. THANK YOU BOTh from my family.

I received a free Prime Rib meal from the Carson City Nugget for Angelinas…read more 1st off, the service. Hostess were nice, had a bit of a wait which was fine. We were told that the chef was on vacation. Should have just left then. Then after being seated and given menus, they came and took them back and gave us this paper revised menu since the head chef was out. Our actual waitress was Chelsea and she was fantastic. If not for her, I would give 0 stars if possible. The restaurant itself we really did not get to see much as we were tucked away in the 1st dining area by the entrance. No worries. It was nice and quaint inside and that's about where it stopped!! I asked about bread, and a different lady brought us 2 rolls that were barely room temp. Basically went from bag to bowl. We ordered our prime rib medium. As anything over that gets tough. We also ordered it with broccoli and when it arrived it had inedible asparagus. I mean they were so fibrous we could barely cut through them. Chelsea apologized and brough us out some broccoli on the side, and just like the rolls, it was barely room temp. Not her fault by no means. Now onto the very overly cooked prime rib. There was 0 pink in it. It was well done and very tough. It was also barely 1/4 inch thick. I mean the thinnest prime rib I have ever seen for supposedly being a 9oz. I have had 8oz at other restaurants twice the size of what we were served.. I managed to cut a couple pieces for my husband to eat. I dd not eat any of it. Basically we sent the majority of it back when we left. The only plus thing about this visit was the mashed potatoes and gravy. Still luke warm at best. I ate about 3 bites of food and was done with it. It was the worst prime rib I have ever seen/tasted in my life. Now Chelsea went and got our receipt for us, which of course was no charge, but if it was, I would have never paid 22.99 for what we received. It was that bad. Chelsea apologized several times and like we told her, you do not control what comes out on these plates. So yes she did get a nice cash tip for being such a sweet waitress and trying to do what she could. As far as the restaurant, we will not be going back for anything there. It is also only open Friday and Saturday from 4-close. I came home and made a sandwich for my now late dinner!
