    BV BLT

Ordered for lunch to go, walked in to a casual/cozy entry, and the only server was very busy, but friendly despite her stress and a bit of a wait. I ordered the BV BLT with avocado and the avocado was more of a suggestion for the tiny serving that came on the sandwich. The bacon was burned, but a generous portion. The fries were crispy, but the inside wasn't cooked fully for the degree of brown on the outside of the fries. I have heard so many good things that I was excited to finally try this place, but it'll be awhile before I decide to try it again. For a $16 sandwich, I was a bit underwhelmed. A coworker order the beet salad, expecting roasted beets, she was surprised to find them tasting just as cooked. May have just been a bad day all around, but hard for me to want to return. 3 stars for the friendly staff!

Excellent service and food. Nice touch to give complementary chips and dip prior to taking our order. Busy too on a late afternoon lunch.

First time trying. Good food, service was amazing. Prices are reasonable. Would definitely return.

Took my dad here after christmas as he flew in from Texas for the week.. His favorite sandwich is a hot pastrami. Mine too now lol If you can catch them with all the fixens for a reuben, I highly recommend those. If not I get a side of thousand island for it. The marble rye bread is amazing. Toasted to perfection. They also sell homemade sourdough bread. Now on to those chips they give you with garlic dip. OMG to die for. Homemade chips with awesome dip. You can also get them as your side which we always do.. We have tried their fries too. Those are equally delicious. They also have side salad, soup and other sides available. If I had to critique 1 thing, it would be the cream potato soup. It was very thin and not much potato flavor. My dad and I both agreed on this as it was his side. My girlfried was also in there eating and she got the same soup and agreed as well. My mom used to make it, so I know how its supposed to taste for the most part. So won't order that again. And will not deter us from coming back either. The restaurant is quaint and really feels bistro-ish. We got to sit at chairs and a booth type table right by the kitchen. I love to watch kitchens work. You drink from little mason jars and they bring you a large pop top water bottle that's really cold and perfect for the table. We've had 2 different waitresses, and both have been really sweet and stayed on top of needs. We really love this place. If you love hot pastrami, I highly recommend it. Or just go grab an order of chips togo with that dip

A quick lunch in the area and looking for something local. We came in on a Saturday around noon. The kitchen staff seemed to be stressed and it took a while to get seated. I think we got stuck with an odd table as it felt halfway into the kitchen. There's lots of unnecessary decor and items taking up space that made the restaurant feel cluttered and messy. I think the place mostly does catering so I don't know that there's been much thought into the dining area. When seated we got some complimentary chips and dip - sort of a creamy sun dried tomato and basil concoction. We then ordered grilled cheese, an Italian sandwich and a chicken salad sandwich. Food was good but ambience was lacking.

My wife and I were exploring Carson City NV and decided to eat at a local non-chain restaurant. We were greeted with a very friendly hostess/ waitress named Madison. She was great! Huge portions as you can see in the pictures. I wound up putting my salad in a separate bowl and it is huge! My curry chicken sandwich is called The French Chicks was one of the best I've had in a long time. I'm glad chose Bella Vista. The restaurant is very nice and clean. We will definitely bookmark this for another future visit.

Lovely girl came to our office selling sandwiches. Perhaps they're leftover from another day. Simply awful and the quality lacking. I'll stick to my homemade lunches.

We got a chance to have a date night here recently. We had a great time. It was a Friday night and there was live music. I ordered a lemon drop and it was fantastic. Our server was awesome, friendly and helpful. But for me it's always the food. All our food was good. For a mid range price point everything tasted great! When you arrive you get complimentary homemade chips! We ordered calamari and it was great and truffle cheese with pretzel bites. The cheese was a bit more on the runny side tha I like for dip but it did taste awesome. I got the chicken Parmesan, very tasty and large portion. Will be coming back here.

I actually drove into the parking lot and was set to go to another nearby business but the cute outside signage and seating caught my eye and had me pull up their menu. It was a bummer I was on a time crunch so I had to order to go because Bella Vita is a beautiful restaurant and one I believe where the food should be enjoyed in a sit down fashion. I ordered the Turkey pear and brie and this sandwich was the perfect balance of sweet cheesy and savory. It had a crunch too, I loved loved loved the homemade potato chips. Coming in on a friday during lunchtime the people kept flowing in. Service was friendly enough, I will definitely suggest this to a coworker when we are in the area looking for a lunch spot.

First time visiting this place, the food is decent and the service is good and quick. I like the beef dip sandwich for lunch, would like to try their entrees next time. FYI, they only offer entree for dinner. The place has a lot of potential, wish our local business all the best!

Bella Vita Bistro is my " go to" place for lunch. They give the best value, the sandwiches are average $14-$15. They give you a big basket of homemade chips with parmesan garlic or tomato basil dip complimentary to nibble on. The sandwiches are big and loaded and they have many great sides..they don't skimp on portions. Jessie the chef and member of the family that owns this restaurant is great... his soups are the bomb.. today the special was loaded potato soup with cheese and bacon on top. Jessie gave me a bowl of his tomato bisque to sample with homemade croutons to garnish the top. The service is great, very accommodating and food comes out fast if you are on your lunch hour.. they also deliver.. They serve dinners but I haven't been yet... the dinner menu looks great. BTW they can handle large groups and they cater. I had the turkey, pear and brie grilled on sourdough bread and can never finish it... Stop by and tell them PJ sent you

Patty Melt - I was surprised my wife got this, but she enjoyed it. She did say it was very oily and messy. I forgot to try your homestyle spuds... Just means I need to come back. Ambiance - A good size dinner; see pictures. Cool decor. Semi open kitchen. Free standing, approximately two store fronts. Counter or table seating, all indoor. Plenty of mall parking. Open 7 days a week 6am to 2pm. Clean restrooms. Service - Just okay. It took a while for the waitress to acknowledge us. I know she was busy and I believe there were only two waitresses and one bus girl. But she literally walked by us 10 times without saying anything and with no eye contact, nothing. A simple, "I will be right with you" would have been nice. Once she got to our table, approximately 10 minutes later, it was a more positive experience. The one young bus girl is a hard worker and was nicer. Price - $24.20 + tip. Reasonably priced. Well in today's environment, it is inexpensive. Cash only (or checks); no credit or debit cards. They do have an ATM inside. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success 1980. And all your family's successes in the Bay Area, CA. See pictures and their decor.

The servings are large but we ate nearly everything, and needless to say we were stuffed! I absolutely loved the chorizo--might be my favorite from a restaurant. The French toast was nearly perfect too, as it was thick and soft / moist but not soggy. I loved the coconut but feel the normal French toast would've been great too. Everything tasted fresh and house-made, as they say it is. The staff was incredibly nice and I believe the owner was at the front hosting people, which goes to show the service, thought and effort that goes into this place! They also have an incredible beer selection with well over 100 beers on the menu, so there's something for everyone. A word of advice make reservations if you can. The wait was nearly an hour and it's easy to see why. We started with the fry bread and the jalapeño bombs. The fry bread was delicious, but those jalapeño bombs were an absolute 10/10 and a must-order. We originally came for the prime rib, but unfortunately they had already sold out around 6 p.m., which was definitely disappointing. Thankfully, the food that did make it to our table erased that disappointment pretty quickly. We ordered the two-meat BBQ plate with ribs and brisket, and both were cooked to perfection. The meat was tender, smoky, and paired perfectly with their delicious BBQ sauce. We also tried the spicy pot pie, which was unlike any pot pie I've had before, in a good way. It reminded me of an enchilada baked inside a buttery, flaky crust, and it was fantastic. The service was equally impressive. I feel terrible that I can't remember our server's name because he absolutely deserves the recognition. He was friendly, attentive, and made our entire experience even better. As far as the food I think that we enjoyed your sample that was given at Taste of Downtown more than the almost $80 meal that my wife and I had that night! Wife had the Brisket sandwich which looking at the menu you'd think it would be 2-3 slices of brisket accommodating the bread and fixn's, Nope it it came out like pulled pork or canned beef jerky. I had the half chicken meal and I guarantee the the reason our meals were cold, was probably because the waiter was sitting at the table by the left rear wheel of the steam paver in the lobby instead of bringing our food out and we had to ask the server for the table behind us for a few boxes and our check!
