It is a 1-page menu that consists of sushi, steaks, pasta, and other entrees with a variety of protein choices. Gnocchi with short ribs was absolutely a favorite. Filet, burrata and heirloom tomato salad, and roasted Brussels sprouts washed down with a spicy pear margarita and a whiskey. Burrata was excellent - tender and creamy with vine-ripened heirlooms. Licked the plate clean. Bitter rapini is an excellent complement to the rich, buttery and salt-crusted steak. Wife's burger was a perfect medium-rare; however, a bit under seasoned. Brussels bamboozled - they aren't roasted if they're boiled or steamed and quickly thrown under a salamander to brown. Parm and pancetta couldn't save them. Really great iterations of the popular side can be found at Rye Tavern and Rivershed BBQ. Psyched to get the cork from the Blanton's bottle! I've been a long time patron of Alba Quincy, but having moved deeper into the south shore, i decided to give Alba hanover a try. The menu was very similar if not exactly the same as Alba Quincy, and the food quality was excellent. We shared a salad. -'a my companions had the pork chop, I had the filet, everything was perfect. Our server was also fantastic, always quick with requests and knowledgeable about the menu. My one complain is it's so LOUD!!! there is a similar problem in the main room of Alba Quincy, however the Quincy location has a smaller side dining room which is more intimate. We dined in the smaller dining room at Alba Hanover, and it was still next to impossible to hear even at a small table for 4. This is really unfortunate bc the rest of the features make it a perfect location for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries or even a date night, but if you want to have a conversation forget it. Sound remediation would be a huge plus, but given the crowd i doubt they're concerned about losing business for this reason. I suppose it might be better on the patio in the summer but it overlooks a parking lot so not exactly an upscale experience. We'll likely go back, maybe as early as possible on a tuesday or something, as i like to talk to my friends... read more

amazing steak! service was amazing, i took my large family there for a birthday and they handled it perfectly, the servers and the food runners were very prompt and informative . the restaurant is designed very nicely too. the bar wraps all the way around and it has a stage on the far side- very cool. they have bands thursday and saturday which is always nice for entertainment. would recommend if u are willing to spend the money , good quality food for a good price read more

The lamb meatballs were incredible. The rack of lamb was incredible. The filet mignon was good, it was extremely over priced especially having to pay $10 for each side after paying $50 for just the steak. The spinach was pretty gross, mashed potatoes were good. The server was the least attentive, she didn't explain any specials, brought me the wrong beer, my girlfriend ordered an appetizer, I went to order clam chowder but she left the table as soon as I said i'd like... all in all I just think I can get a better steak with better service for a better value somewhere else. Last night we started with the calamari very lightly breaded but loaded with great taste! Then the veal Parm was perfect! The meat was so tender and the flavor was great with so much pasta! Almost $200 bill, have had better service experiences at the 99. So upsetting huge waste of money and wish I spoke up. White wine got warm waiting 25 mins for our oysters , just for them to come out after our entree, table overflowing no room for anything, no silverware for steak and other food, once brought I still had to take roll ups off a nearby table as we had no napkins. Was excited for the steak with the aged meat display, but nothing spectacular. Maybe the steak would've been better had it not been sitting in front of us waiting to be done with our appetizer. Mashed potatoes tasted like the kind you pop in a microwave after a long day. Salad was needlessly split in half despite the rest of the meal being family style, and overly acidic otherwise flavorless. These are all things I could get over if not for the high price tag and inattentive overwhelmed service. (Dining room half empty by end of our meal). Server was remorseful and nice enough. Was offered free dessert which we declined but it was really outrageous that nothing was taken off bill given the horrendous experience. For folks who don't get to indulge often with our budget, this was a huge let down. Really thrown off this place is so positively reviewed. Management was visible from a distance but should honestly be a lot more present if they are marketing themselves as fine dining. read more

Dined here last night. Not quite as good as I expected hence the 4 stars instead of 5. I had crispy salmon and my other half the Bolognese. We actually went for the Spanish octopus. We love it and travel everywhere to eat it. My suggestion is to buy smaller octopus as the suckers on the bigger ones are truly offensive. Also it had good flavor but needed a squeeze of fresh lemon and should be served with a wedge.. just a suggestion. BTW it was packed inside and out! read more

Went tonight with a large group for a birthday party. Ordered the gnocchi with short ribs which was ok, but the pasta was overcooked. Those who ordered steaks were happy with their meal. Those who ordered fish or pasta dishes were not. Several of us got the clam chowder, which was watery and tasteless. Overall, I thought the food was surprisingly bad. First time dining here this past week. It was packed on a Wednesday evening at 6 but we got a table. I really enjoyed the dim lighting. Others didn't like it, but I really liked the low lighting. It felt cozy. They messed up my drink order, and the attempted fix was pretty bad. Next time I'll get a glass of wine that they can't mess up. The Caesar salad was one of the best I've had, and the scrod with mushroom risotto was outstanding. Everything came out at a good pace and timely.
