Been eating at albano's villa since I was a kid, first time I had it in Michigan city; Indiana and then later on learned LaPorte had a one as well. Definitely in my top 3 pizza places I've ever had in my life and I'm 41 y.o. The taco pizza is amazing and so are the hot tacos. Never had a bad meal here . I Just want to give a big 5 star shout out to Albanos for making me such a delicious antipasto salad. I recently threw out my back, and have been unable to stand in the kitchen and cook for myself . Albanos is always first on my list when I concider ordering out. Your antipasto salads (and of course the pizzas) have been consistently great over the past few years and I'm sorry I don't make it down there enough for your always fantastic pizza, which I've enjoyed many a Friday night snow storm. People who did not grow up in the Midwest might be surprised to learn how good Midwestern pizza can be. Sometimes you'll run into a generous North-easterner who will deign to give a nod to Chicago Style Deep Dish, but that's about it. On the other hand, I grew up in the Michiana Region and every time I'm back home visiting, this is the pizza I crave! If only there was an Albuquerque restaurant that made pizza like this. I always get the house special, a traditional crust (not deep dish) with plenty of sliced tomatoes, roasted green peppers, and canned mushrooms. Yes I know what you're thinking. Canned shrooms?!?! But it works! They are juicy, flavorful, and perfect on this pizza. Add to that some well seasoned hot Italian sausage, pepperoni, a dusting of herbs, all setting on top of thin layer of tomato sauce, and plenty of cheese. The pizza is cut into squares and it's all I can do to tear into it before I get back to my folks place. Oh, yeah. I always get it to go. I've never eaten in, but it's housed in what was a Pizza Hut back in the 80's. This is small town Midwestern pizza at its best! read more

All right people, if you love pizza and you're visiting the Laporte Indiana you must go to Albano's Villa! I asked the Chicago native I appreciate good Pizza and as an Italian I appreciate good Italian food. The pizza is freaking AMAZING!! I also ordered lasagna because it's my favorite pasta (FYI, this is my keto cheat day). The order of lasagna was enormous and so delicious!! So if you are visiting Laporte Indiana, for whatever reason, and you like pizza you must try Albano's, you will not be disappointed. read more

Albanos is the bomb. Be sure to ask for the original thin and crispy crust. On a recent visit we were served the hand tossed, it was not the same as the original crust. Albanos thin and crispy pizza has a good blend of sauce,spices and flavorful meats and cheese. We live near Indy and frequently bring an extra pizza home for later. We were quite happy our waitress gave us the heads up about the other crust, we will be back! read more

Albano's is like a home away from home. One time, my sister and I picked up Albano's the day that she got arrested for public intoxication when she was 14. Another time, I had a really good date. We were going to go to Enzo's but it was closed so we ended up at Albano's. Then we went to a corn maze and stuff. They have a really good salad here. read more

My husband has been holding out on me for nearly 10 years. His parents live in LaPorte, and he lived there as well when we started dating, so there's been many a time we've gotten pizza - but never from here! We were recently driving back up to visit his folks and wanted to grab something to eat on the way. I wanted to have something besides the usual Papa John's or Pizza Hut, so suggested Albano's since I'd never had it. Wow did this pizza end up being WAY better than all of those. It reminds me of really good pub pizza, the kind that is just a little greasy and goes perfectly with a cold beer...mmm.... Anyhow, when we picked up the pizza I learned that aside from keeping this awesome pizza from me, he also kept an excellent patio from me as well! The pizza is OK at best. Got a kids cheese and had to scrape off half of it. Waaaay too much greasy cheese! Remember to ask for light cheese unless you like choking. Stromboli? More like sauce infused bread with cheese. And the bread was really hard and kind of burnt. Don't go thru the drive thru for anything but a pizza either, the food is not packaged to travel well. It just soaks up the sauce or gets soggy by the time you're home. We just threw it all in the trash and we live out in the sticks so we aren't going back out for food. Nothing like spending a bunch of money then eating whatever's in the house after all..., I used to work for this place and love the fact that they are home town... I want to support local which is why i keep going back to "try" it out every few years....Unfortunately I won't be back anytime soon. read more

I ordered a pitcher of beer, thinking that it would be cheaper than ordering 3 separate drinks. It was cheaper, but calling it a pitcher was not accurate. It was more like a barrel, and I was unable to finish it. Pizza was good. Service was good. Salad was above average. I will be back. read more

The pizza here was OK. The service was fast and friendly. The price and value really can't be beat. Thinking back on this pizza, I was kind of saddened at what it could have been. Although it was good, it was so close to being over the top delicious. The crust was simply outstanding. The ingredients could have been a bit more plentiful but there was not too much grease at all. The sauce however was rather bland and disappointed me. All it would take to make this pizza top of the line is some more flavor in the sauce. It came so close! read more

we moved out of the Laporte area last year, so we haven't been back to Albano's much, but it's pretty damn good food. the garlic cheese bread isn't a difficult dish to pull off but honestly, it's great. just the right amount of garlic and cheese. the pizza sauce they serve with it is delish. it has to be for me to use such a ridiculous word. I mean, who says that anymore? anyway, the pizza is awesome. typically, I'm someone who orders pizzas with extra cheese because I love cheese and it will probably kill me LONG before alcohol (I love beer also) and I don't order it here. we aide their cheese cup runneth over; in a good way. big ole chunks of sausage are the best and they do it right. I haven't had any of their sandwiches but from what I saw on the tables of other patrons, I would like to try. they looked like big servings. service was great, kept our drinks full and no issues. we will return and I suggest you go check it out. read more

Good pizza - fair price - OK service and clean.

This review is for the Laporte location on Johnson road. I called an order in at 5pm they said about an hour. At 630pm I called to check on it because there was a car across the road from me I flicked my kitchens lights to try to indicate. When I called was told they would contact the driver. At 645pm I called back, a man answered I said I was calling about my order he rudely said which order. When I placed an order was never asked a name just address and what I wanted. The guy told me that the driver just left and that was what we mean when we say an hour. So I waited 5 more minutes I literally live like four minutes away. I called back to speak to a manager, to find out that guy is the manager. I will not be going back with that customer service canceled my order after almost two hours, the guys said ok. He didn't seem to care at all I would have even picked it up if they would have said an hour n half delivery time. I have picked up here before. I used to work there. I am currently a store manager myself and that was awful experience that upper management should and I hope find out about! read more

Pizza is great. Has limited beer selection and no bar. Dining room is nice and clean also has outdoor patio eating area. They do not have delivery but a handy drive up window. read more
