So very disappointed after many positive experiences. Left the house starving, and knew exactly where I was headed. Rolled up to Wana Pizza at 9:40. This is twenty minutes before their scheduled closing time. Place was fully lit up with multiple people standing at the counter. First door I tried said closed, but the back door said "Open." Again, until ten oclock. I walked inside geared up and ready to order only to be told "Sorry, we've shut our ovens off already!" Again, twenty minutes to close. This place is great! The first time I went here, I went with a few of my friends and I wasn't really that hungry and tried a little here and there and I really enjoyed it even though I didn't have much. I was craving for their breadsticks and pizza one day and I finally got a chance to go there because I live in Indianapolis now. The service is a little slow but worth the wait because the food is great! The pizza came out hot and fresh as well as the breadsticks! I guess pictures can be deceiving. Tried this place out one night. Ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza with sweet sauce. My order was ready relatively quick (I figured it wouldn't be nowhere near the 40 minutes the website gave for this small town.) When I got there the place was empty. I had to ring the bell to get the seemingly one person working there to come to the register. She was nice and quickly picked grabbed my pizza that was sitting next to the only other order. The pizza itself looks ok. The crust is harder than I expected since it looks to be slightly overcooked. For some reason the slices were cut uneven. I don't mind if they're slightly off, but when you have one slice that's like an eighth of the entire pizza and another slice thats like half an inch wide that's silly. The sweet sauce was over sweetened to the point where it was just kool-aid which is not good at all. There could've also been a bit more cheese added since the toppings were falling off althought the one thing I do give Wana is that they don't skimp on the toppings. Overall this is amateur hour. It looks like at some point in the past they were making better pizzas, but this ain't it. read more

Update update update. So I recently left a review about they needed to get their shit together with delivery. I said I "wana" pizza delivered on time. I thought it was clever. Anyways. Their manager "Nancy" told me to reach out to her via Facebook and that they were in the process of trying to find drivers. How professional is that guys? Let's talk on Facebook to figure these things out. How about we do this. - Hire some drivers. - Be realistic on delivery times. - Learn to cook a pizza correctly. - Teach your staff real customer service. It's just pizza guys. First it a pizza joint, place seemed clean nice enough to eat in. I picked up my order the service person was nice. Ive ordered wanna for years and before they changed locations. Twice now on my calzones there were no ingredients in the pizza todays pizza didn't even have sauce on the end piece let alone any ingredients, absolutely nothing! I called and complained and did nothing about it after we drove to get it and want the product back to remake the order while is hard to do when it was the last piece of pizza! I have been looking for a real old style home made pizza since I moved here from Wisconsin! I used to love my best friends Step-Moms pizza place that has closed many, many years ago. Well today I have found my new old time favorite pizza place!! We pulled into the lot and my wife went in and got a menu and we made our selection. She went in and placed our order and they said about 20 minutes, so we went to the big blue store down the road. We were gone for longer than the twenty minutes but that pizza was as hot as ever when we picked it up!! I ordered a small thin crust with sausage and black olives with something new to me called "sweet" sauce!! Oh my god I will never order pizza any other way. That sauce is the best ever!!! The sausage was great and the crust was just what I was looking for. I also ordered a large chicken bacon ranch for my wife and daughter we left at home and I gotta say that one didn't let me down either, YUMMY!! The time we arrived was at 1:20, which might be after their busy time so the staff was very pleasant says my wife which is good, a bad experience with staff can spoil even the best of food! The pizza is normal and nothing special. It is very hot in there and is very uncomfortable. The pizza is not neat at all and full of bubbles (which are OK but often burnt). It is also not perfessional too.Bottom line theres much better pizza places. read more

My buddy & I went there for my birthday. We have another place we tend to go to but I wanted to give this a try. I have had WANA Pizza in La Porte and it was very good. I could not believe that it was under $10 too. So, we went to their new store on Franklin on a Saturday, around 11:30 am. There were only a couple of spots out front to park but there is a lot of parking in the back. Don't forget that. Also, bring coupons. WANA just opened as we were trying to make a matinee movie. The place is new and very pretty. I think they might be expanding as the south side of the building was under construction. Decor was appropriate. Bathrooms were clean. TVs were accessible, blah,blah, blah. ONLY ONE YOUNG GUY WORKING! That is a safety concern. UNACCEPTABLE. This guy was great too. Very friendly, good with our order, phone orders and others walking in. The owners should be reprimanded. Michigan City isn't the safest place. My parents owned a shop and were repeatedly robbed. I can't tell you how much this bothered me. Serve yourself pop machine was great and good for kids. As for PIZZA...... My buddy likes thin crust but they had 4 types of crust; pan, hand-tossed, thin and Naples. We got the NAPLESE crust. I am not going to tell you what this means....but it was very good. We ordered an X-large supreme for two manly men......and we finished only half of it. Hot and delicious, the pizza was full of different ingredients but not to were it overwhelmed the crust. As a 25 year Chicago resident, I have eaten all the best pizza.....and this was very good pizza. So, people were nice, atmosphere was inviting, serve yourself pop,good pizza, clean place, & TVs made for a good experience. If ANYTHING happens to the workers though, shame on the owners.
