Was in the area and am always looking for a good mom and pop restaurant. I love supporting local entrepreneurs. And the food was amazing. Had the gyro and found it was flavorful with plenty of meat and just the right amount of veggies to balance it out. It could of used a bit more sauce but definitely did not degrade the experience at all. Would highly recommend them to any one. The icing on the cake was the staff was extremely welcoming and patient with those in my party who weren't as familiar with some of the menu items. I've gotten food from here twice. The first time I walked in and bought a falafel wrap. I was very pleased. The falafel was flavorful and perfectly cooked, the sauce was delicious and the garnish fresh. The second time I ordered the same for delivery and was seriously disappointed. The falafel balls had a rock hard exterior crust and were excessively spicy. I'm hoping it was just a bad night! I won't get delivery again, but will give them the benefit of the doubt and walk in next time I want falafel and don't want to cook. read more

Alright, let us cut to the chase here. If you are hungry for a gyro, go to this place. I have ate here three times and everytime i was very satisfied. The dudes running the restaurant are passionate and proud about what they are serving and it really shows. It has an odd loacation, (next to a minimart) however, the quality and customer service is amazing. On our last venture, i invited my mother and father, and this is why i say they have excellent costumer service. My mother is a bit "stubborn" and pronounces gyros "euros' like the currency. I previously had talked with the owner and he established that a new York gyro, was called a ju - like in JUmping- roe. So, it would be odd for my mother to listen to me, so she ordered and mispronounced what she was ordering. The dudes were awesome about it. My mother and i had a silly argument and they remained friendly and played along. I still think i was correct, anyhoo. . . my mother's gyro salad was huge and delicious, my gyro was amazing (they have sriracha on the table) during our hour long discussion about the proper way to pronounce "gyro" they offered us a free sample of their home made baklava. Wow! Wow! Wow! Gyros are absolutely delicious. My Greek friends would most definitely approve. The Mediterranean fries were interesting (never before have I had feta on fries) and the Baklava was tasty. Thank you Yelp for directing us to this funky small restaurant. read more

Seriously the best addition the neighborhood... Gyros are ridiculous, the correct amount of crun-chewy gyro meat, grilled pita and fresh ingredients. Albee and his crew at both locations are fantastic. Hard to drive by that place and not stop for the goodness!! read more

I've been to their 11th street location, atmosphere not good but food great. This location on 18th WAY better! You can sit in comfort, very clean and nice décor. The food is great here. I love gyros (I'm from back east) and these have nice portions and great flavor. Their spinach pie is delicious-not too thick and their Baklava is a 10-the honey has the best flavor. The two young men working the counter were very friendly and gave fantastic serve. One owned a very cool 62 Thunderbird which made for great conversation. Serious this is the best and I will return here over the 11th spot always. read more

We've been meaning to stop in at Albee's since they opened their 18th St. location last January. Tonight we finally stopped in, and were greeted by two of the nicest guys! They let us sample the meat and hummus, both of which were delicious. We ordered their gyro salad and spanakopita. Oh, yum! The food is outstanding, the place is clean and inviting, and the proprietors are cheerful as well as talented in the kitchen. We will assuredly go back! read more
