    Look for the red door

Had an hour before my morning meeting and wanted to start the day with eggs. I didn't have cooking facilities so looked up eggs in town and MGC came up. Loved that it was so close to the train station! The red door stood out in the morning sun; outdoor seating looked friendly. Sitting inside a raccoon that greeted us as well as a friendly purple painted morning glories climbing the walls. Pastry case was impressively packed with vegan pastries. The banana bread was outstanding. Ordered the 3 fingered jack (an omelette with green chiles) and I was told just about everything on the menu could be made vegan -- a promising treat for plant-based diet friends since the food was so well-made.

Fast service even on busy weekends. Limited parking. Huge menu with many vegan options. Knowledgeable staff about dietary restrictions. Gorgeous painting in the bathrooms. The kids pancake was so cute and very tasty. The chilaquiles was not good and very dry. The biscuit and gravy were just okay. The cinnamon bun didn't feel fresh. The pancake won.

I'm making a bad habit of NOT ordering the most flavorful thing on the menu which was those multigrain pancakes. Don't even need the blueberry sauce, syrup was enough with how good they tasted and i only had 2 bites. There was no wait when me and my friend came in around Sunday at 2pm. Found parking easily right across the st. Love that the waitress was honest and told me the oatmeal is really plain and healthy and to add some peanut butter and brown sugar to that. The eggs and potatoes were both also good. I'll be back for those pancakes next time i come to Oregon. Don't let the photos fool you lol

A popular spot for locals and visitors alike, this breakfast cafe spot is small but mighty! Serving up pretty much everything except meat, come for a hearty breakfast or brunch/lunch. Everything from your basic eggs and toast to sweet and savory items and a full drink menu with lattes and teas. Organic and locally sourced ingredients. We visited 2x during our trip because it was just so good! Service is casual and quick. Very diner-style. Order, eat, and pay up at the front counter. No frills, easy in and out, and great food. We really enjoyed the Morning Medley, Backpacker's Pancakes, omelettes, and the Three Sisters (hash brown bowl). Egg yolks are so orange and bright, and everything is so fresh. Great spot!!!

I am keto and they had nothing I could eat here, but they had this dill weed bread with real butter that was uhmazing! Sucks for me, but my tongue is thanking me. It's probably 30 feet from the Amtrak station and since the station doesn't have restrooms, get your meal here if you're getting ready to board the train.

Great service. The staff were nice. We sat in the patio. I ordered little bear's vegan omelette and didn't like it as much as I wanted to. The vegetables inside the hash were bland. The tofu cream definitely was the star of the dish. The French toast was ok, but I like the freshness of the jam.

Morning Glory Cafe is my favorite restaurant in Eugene. My parents & I have visited Eugene twice & both times we've had multiple meals here. It's the oldest vegetarian restaurant in town & extremely vegan-friendly. I find their breakfast/brunch items as good (if not better) than most similar options in Portland. I also appreciate their friendly service despite being extremely busy every time we've visited. I don't get to Eugene often but every time I do I'm coming to Morning Glory Cafe.

Friendly service. Nice folks. I had pea soup, salad and dill bread with "butter". It was pretty good. The dressing I selected was peanut based and I love peanuts - never had a peanut dressing so it was good. The dill bread was crispy and warm on the outside and chewy on the inside- wonderful! I'm not a vegan or vegetarian so I was missing meat here. This would be a great place for vegans or vegetarians.

In my opinion, there are two great places for brunch in town and this is one of them. It's often busy at all the predictable times and you will have to wait. There are a few tables outside that are nice when it's warm out, but expect to wait for any table on the weekends. My favorites are the happy morning sandwich and the chilaquiles. My husband's fav is the 3-fingered Jack omelette. Their specials can be fun but tend to be a little pricier than the rest of the menu. We had a special chocolate waffle recently that was fantastic. They have lots of great homemade bread choices to go along with your meal (vegan and gluten-free options) along with homemade pastries (which I always come home with at least one). Alongside my meal, I like to get a biscuit or dill roll. We also appreciate the squeeze bottle of raspberry jam (no tiny packets) and local hot sauce to go with our meal. I've been going here for over 15 years and I hope to continue to for a long time!

Delicious vegetarian breakfast with a solid drip coffee (medium roast, good flavor). Chill vibe.

Is it worth the hype and wait for NON vegan/vegetarians??? Yes!!! I had a salad and loved it. Their peanut vinaigrette was amazing! I was surprised by their bakery case. They had so many choices. An added bonus is the dill roll. Next time I go I'll get some to go.

Vegan breakfast? Yes please! Really tasty cafè near the Amtrak station. Got the Three sisters dish and my partner got the Pesto scramble. Incredible flavors and super satisfying and nourishing! Great coffee great service everyone was super kind and helpful. I wish there were more vegan options for breakfast but this is a great start! Loved the vegan sour cream. No notes. Hopefully I'll be back one day! Yum!!!!!

Love this place so much. I'm annoyed at myself for not trying it sooner but it's now my go-to spot every time I'm in Eugene at breakfast time. The servers are awesome, the food (everything) is excellent, and their (NA) drink menu has some glorious hot and cold drinks on it. Can't wait to go back once again.

Went to the goth night (ghost something?) tonight and it was a blast. The bar is gothic style too…read moreso it's marvelous. I heard it's usually an alternative / low key queer bar, more like mixed to me, which is nice. I know they recently made a change about free events turning into free with a drink purchase, which is reasonable! I've been low to no income, to where $10 is a splurge for me. I never got to go to a free event, but if I can't afford it I just don't go! Gotta keep the lights on, and $5 for a goth night was perfect for me. I had so much fun, the music was sweet and the outdoor area was nice too. The dance floor is small- kinda as big as their bathroom- but very accommodating, everyone seemed to have space to do their own thing. The one thing that did puzzle me is that they had a sign on the bathroom that said woman and then said it was all genders. I feel like maybe just taking the woman sign off would be simple enough. The message seems to just be "no urinal". The bathrooms are clean and plenty of stalls though!! I can't say anything about the drinks or food this time around, just the vibes which are great :) Lots of variety of events here, I'm sure I'll be back!

There are multiple reports of people getting sick from the food and you can see rats scurry under the building from the dumpsters. The decor is top notch, and they try to cater to the community as a safe space, but it is anything but that. The prices are very high for what you get, which is poor service, watered down drinks and rude staff. Notice how all the events like ghost house etc switched venues? I wonder why? If you want to find out, you're braver than me. I'm never going back.

We had spent nearly…read moreeverything we had to make the move, and my husband immediately had to start traveling for his new job. On our first morning in our new town, we went to The Original Pancake House for breakfast. It was a simple meal, but one we were grateful we could afford. When we asked for the check, our server smiled and told us someone had already paid for it. That small act of kindness made me feel like I truly belonged in our new home. It reminded me that even in an unfamiliar place, there were good people who cared about others. Since that day, every time we visit The Original Pancake House, we make it a point to pay it forward whenever we can. It's our way of honoring the kindness that meant so much to us and has stuck with me. Beyond the beautiful memory, the food is incredible. It's hands down the best breakfast I've ever had. Comfort food that tastes like it's made with love. You must try the Dutch baby! The ladies who work there are always so warm and welcoming, making every visit feel like coming home. The Original Pancake House in Eugene is a charming, family-friendly spot with genuine warmth and stellar coffee. The casual, lively vibe makes it feel like the proper brunch destination you'd hope for from a legendary breakfast joint. We ordered their hero dish--a side of buttermilk pancakes--and the Irish Omelette. The pancakes delivered real flavor: fluffy, tender, with classic buttermilk tang. My only critique? They arrived cool, likely from sitting in the warmth window a bit too long. Off the griddle, these would shine. The Irish Omelette was more disappointing. Designed to be airy and light with corned beef and potatoes inside, ours was overcooked and rubbery--far from the delightful, pillowy texture it should be. For a restaurant with this history, execution should be consistent. The coffee and service were warm and attentive, which goes a long way. 3/5 stars. Worth visiting for atmosphere, especially if your pancakes arrive hot. Try during slower service to avoid the window-sit fate. The Portland location executes at a higher level.
