I agree with the other reviews that there is not that much meat in the gyros however for the price it seemed adequate. I got my food fast. Service was friendly. Overall not a bad experience. I would put the food as mid range. What I was expecting from a food hall. It was not a bad gyro and would order again. The meat was decently flavorful and not tough or dry. I would give this place a 0 rating if I could after my interaction with the lady that was ringing us up. To start off, it took her a good 10 minutes to even acknowledge us and take our order, she just kind of stood there looking through receipts and looked up at us a few times but never acknowledge that she was ready to take the order. Once my grandma and I were ordering our food, I let them know that I wanted a wrap ($10.95) and to add rice ($4). I saw the lady working up at the front ring up my Grandma's salad ($14.95) and then rang up my portion- and the total came out to almost $40 which was more than I was expecting based on their menu prices. I asked the lady for clarification to why I was being charged more and she said "because you want the rice" I explained that the menu showed it would only be a $4 increase. She then proceeded to talk down to me in one of the rudest ways I've ever been talked to by a worker and tell me that she has been here 30+ years and she knows the menu and the prices. She then pointed at the "wrap special" which was $14.95 and it included a salad, so she was charging me that on top of the rice (which the math still didn't add up with that explanation) I continued to explain that I didn't want the salad on the side, I wanted the wrap à la carte and then add rice (which the menu lists that you can do) At this point we had gone back and forth multiple times, and the way that she was talking to me was so disrespectful that I did not want to order from her anymore and I asked her to remove the wrap and rice and to just move forward with the salad my grandma was wanting. (I was thinking to myself there is no way I'm giving this person money after the way she reacted, however my grandma really wanted the salad so I continued forward with purchasing that menu item). Once I asked her to remove the things I had ordered, she got even worse. She interrupted me multiple times and when I said I didn't want to discuss this anymore she put her hands up in annoyance and said "we are not done talking about this, we will continue this discussion" she said things such as "you aren't listening to me, I don't understand why you don't just order and keep the rice" I was almost in shock by how long the back and forth went on. I tried to maintain my cool as my 82 year old Grandma was next to me. It took about 4 more times for me to tell her to remove the additional items from the order before she rudely agreed to. She snapped at me during the whole conversation and roller her eyes multiple times. My advice would be to not go here and give your money to incredibly rude workers and definitely choose one of the other restaurants in the pod area. read more

We had the gyro plate and the chicken plate. Both were VERY light on the meat but the gyro was really a joke. It included four slices of gyro meat that were paper thin. The chicken was one skewer with five bites of chicken on it. The meats were pre-cooked and just warmed up on a grill, not a real gyro spit. Rice was microwaved. Salads were prepared by the counter lady with no gloves. Four miniature wedges of tasteless bread were included. We were so hungry, after $30 for two, we had to order a smashburger for dessert. I just love glendi! I've been coming here since 2002! The veggie plate comes with hummus, pita, kalamata olives, dolmadas, a Greek salad, and a spanikopita. I usually add a second spanikopita, or a chicken skewer. The family that runs that place is very nice. The food is always fresh and delicious! I appreciate the simplicity and spot on flavors at glendi. It's also always consistent. I have literally gotten the same thing from day one. I will continue to keep visiting and highly recommend the veggie plate!! read more

Recently I stopped at Cafe Glendi for a quick bite to eat. First, it's nearly impossible to find in the marketplace. It took me a while to get there. I was excited to try a new greek spot. The food was ready when I arrived. There seemed to be no one else interested in grabbing takeout from Cafe Glendi at the time. I ordered a gyro with rice. The gyro was good and one of the better gyros I've had. The rice was boring and bland. It had zero flavor to it and I had to salt it and add a ton of butter. It's unfortunate because the gyro was good. If you are looking for a fast, greek bite to eat, Cafe Glendi is good. You aren't going to get a flavorful meal though. My recommendation is get the gyro but it sub it for a salad or probably anything other than the rice. read more

I have a love/ hate relationship with Greek cuisine. I mostly love it but I find cucumbers and onions repulsive, which are big ingredient components of Greek food. However, the meals my husband and I ordered from takeout were so good, I consumed my order so quickly I had no time to take any pictures. I had the Spanakopita meal, which was delicious. Took me right back to roaming the streets of Athens while munching on the savory, flaky treat. The Spanakopita was also very good dipped into the side of the lentil soup I ordered. I stopped in here with my best friend for lunch. It is located inside the 5th Street Public Market with other restaurants in a food court type setting. I ordered the coconut curry prawns on a bed of rice with a greek salad. I was pleasantly surprised with how great the coconut curry prawns were. The prawns were not overcooked and had amazing flavor! You could really taste the curry and coconut but not to where they overpowered each other. I nice blend. The rice was good and had fresh flavor to it and the greek salad is always good there. Very fresh with a nice balance of ingredients, olives, tomatoes, feta cheese and leafy greens. For a refreshing drink I had the lemon fizz which is a favorite of mine here. Tart and sweet and very refreshing on a hot day, which it was. I would recommend this place if wanting a casual lunch. It can get busy in the court but there is quite a bit of seating options. However, the only draw back is the restroom is not convenient location wise to the food court area. read more

I've meant to try gyros here for a long time. But like a foodie black hole, my steps instead always bend inexorably toward Baker Butcher for their really good Italian fare. So today was the day. Finally! Plenty of other soups salads and specials almost seduced me (wild grilled salmon on Greek salad, coconut curry prawn plate, roast chicken...) All fiercely tempting but I stayed true to my gyro (me & gyros go way back!). And it was good,even very good. But I was a little disappointed, given what I'd heard. All ingredients were nicely fresh, especially the soft pita. But flavors (for me at least) were milder than I expected, mainly lettuce, tasty bread, and a mild tzatziki. And serving size was smaller than I'm used to, though at only $6.50 it's not a bad deal. I felt like it needed the bite of more onions, Greek olives, garlic, or.... Something. I was severely disappointed with my salmon wrap. First off it took over 20 minutes just to get a little wrap. Would've been better off just getting a burrito two doors down and had it ready in less than five minutes. Now I know! Barely any seasoning, enough salmon for a child's meal if that. About three bites and no seasoning. I've had the Gyro wrap at Arby's. I don't eat fast food much because I like quality food. Arby's was hands down way better. Food was fantastic, service was great. The only (but pretty important?) issue I have it the lack of allergy awareness. I have a severe allergy to nuts (anaphylaxis, yes I carry an epipen) and am so grateful for restaurants that note what items have nuts on their menu. I ordered (not a single mention of nuts on the ENTIRE menu) and had an allergic reaction. I asked the worker if anything had nuts. They told me the tzatziki had nuts??
