It has been a while since we last dined in. We have previously enjoyed the calamari, Italian nachos and the papparedelle pasta. The reason for our significant lapse in dining here was due to their removal of a military discount for active service members. When we last dined here and presented ID we were brusquely told they aren't doing that anymore and made us feel uncomfortable, when we had previously received one on several occasions. It really comes down to how you make people feel when doing business with you. read more

Just dropped off our kid at WSU yesterday for an event and found this restaurant for lunch. I had the eggplant sandwich and it was hands down the BEST sandwich I've ever had. We used to live in Sicily and this totally took me back to eating the delicious eggplant there. The homemade potato chips were crispy and not oily at all. My husband has the chicken saltimbocca sandwich (he said it was very good) with a side arugula salad instead of chips. The salad was an additional $3, but it was really big and we shared. Absolutely delicious with walnuts, Gorgonzola and poached pears. Too bad we live in KC. If we happen to come back by this way, we will definitely be back. read more

The caprese sandwich is amazing. My kids rave about the spaghetti. We've been here a few times now. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is nice and casual. Their chairs could be more comfortable at the tables and booths but that would be my only complaint. read more

Bad service and treatment likely to lose customers. Tried placing an order via Door Dash as my wife and I struggle being able to dine out due to our special needs child. The dasher arrived and was told they don't accept door dash orders. Calling the restaurant the manager rudely informed us that door dash just created the account they don't sign up. I don't need to be yelled at due to their frustration, sort out the issue. My wife had a pleasant experience when my son took her there on her birthday: unfortunately we won't be able to experience together in the near future. read more

I got the Pappardelle pasta with chicken. I typically order red sauce dishes, but the white sauce in this was SO delicious. Smooth, light, and garlicky, it brought every other element of the dish together. The mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes also elevated the dish. My wife ordered the Penne with red sauce, shrimp, and Italian sausage. I tried a bit and it was also delicious. They have such an extensive menu so we will be returning. The pasta here is rich and full of flavor. I got one of their specials, Sausage, shrimp and penne pasta. The cream sauce with roasted red peppers was creamy and you could really taste the roasted red peppers. My gf got the Alfredo saltimbbocca. Absolutely amazing. The chicken and pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce was rich and full of flavor. There were large pieces of roasted garlic which was absolutely amazing and added so much flavor. Aberos is amazing. Food and service are the best Italian food in town. We really love the atmosphere and a good selection of wine.

We went to Alberto for my birthday lunch. The dining room is small but nice. The service was amazing and we had a wonderful meal. My husband had Chicken Parm and I had a shrimp pasta dish with the arugula salad. We had lemon Italian crème cake and tiramisu for dessert. Everything was delicious. We did miss having bread with our meal but didn't need it with the generous portions of our meal. read more

If you are in the mood for some delicious Italian food this is the place to go! The service was great when we were there, early dinner hour. I was part of a party of 5. There was several specials available, one of which was the chicken marsala. I like getting that whenever I'm eating at an Italian restaurant. For whatever reason it was served with rice and not potatoes. It was fresh and delicious regardless. The people I was with ordered pasta dishes and they said all pasta seemed to be fresh and possibly made from scratch, especially the ravioli. I've been waiting for this place to open and I'm so happy it finally did! The Italian Nachos are sooo good and the portion is more than enough for 3-4 people to share. I had the Squid Ink Pasta with Shrimp & Scallops which I enjoyed. It was a light lemony saucy. The Spaghetti Bolognese was good, too. I also ordered a Carbonara for the husband and added grilled chicken. Other than the grilled chicken being a little too charred, he said pasta was tasty. Service was quick, attentive, and friendly. First off, I love the classy atmosphere that this place brings while still being a reasonably priced restaurant. We started off with the bruschetta which was alright, but had very little taste to it. I very much enjoyed the raspberry cream soda, and it was a nice beverage addition as i don't see it many places. I got the chicken milano, which was drowning in cream(I consider a good thing) and the chicken with whole garlic cloves and sun dried tomatoes made this a very well put together dish. My girlfriend got the penne marinara, which was a very basic dish but had a good red sauce nonetheless. Unfortunately, the service was rather slow and we were there for a while, but i'll cut some slack since it was busy. Not the best italian in town, but definitely worth a try! read more

This is another case of a restaurant that is going to go out of business, not because of their food, because of their horrible staff. I had the penne marinara, it was really good, but I couldn't get past the staff. Everyone smells like cigarettes, I also overheard a couple people talking about drug use. Additionally, the manager seemed out of it, not sure what's going on there. But there were only two tables in use in the entire restaurant, the whole time i was there. Get rid of the staff, and bring in people that want to be there. You'll be amazed what it will do for your business. Won't be back. read more

Unfortunately disappointing. First experience not really enticing me to give them another go. Restaurant was about 1/4 full on a Tuesday night. Atmosphere was nice, greeter was pleasant. Our server didn't seem like he wanted to be there, not engaging, and we could barely hear him. Peroni on tap was flat and bartender wasn't able to resolve the issue other than giving me another flat beer. My dad and wife ordered some apps as their dinner and they were ok but nothing outstanding. I on the other hand get excited when i see carbonara on the menu so without hesitation ordered it. Probably the worst carbonara I have had. Pasta was well cooked but that's the end of the good news. It just seemed like someone had dumped a bunch of cream in there which left the dish bland. Hardly any other ingredients in there so just a bad combo. Cream is not authentic in carbonara but i can see why someone would use it but if that's the case please take some pride in what you're supposed to be achieving. Disappointing after hearing peoples reviews. Will amend if another visit comes my way and experience is better. read more

We are in town for a soccer tournament and Gluten free is a must. We came because of the reviews and knowing soccer players like pasta for pregame meals. We spoke with the owner who has a history in medical field and understands the importance of being GF. We ordered GF flatbread as an appetizer and it was great but didn't compare to the GF pasta. I had the Cajun chicken pasta and it was just terrific. Highly recommend this place but especially if you're looking for a safe GF place. The deserts are made by a celiac, but I was too full for another bite. read more

The place is pretty new. It's very pleasant but the floor is quite sticky (maybe they're just done mopping it). They were not able to offer us drinks except water. We had Spaghetti and Meatballs split into two - it was delicious. In addition, we had calamari (honestly, the best we've tasted since we arrived here in the US). Came here today with my wife to try the place out. The restaurant has a really good "feel" walking into it with lots of smiling welcoming faces. Unfortunately this time we came we weren't hungry enough for appetizers so the two of us each got an entree. Both came out in a reasonable amount of time and looked/tasted great. I had the eggplant lasagna and my wife had the chicken carbonara. It may be me being cheap, but the amount of food from hers to my plate was very different. With my meal at 15 dollars and hers at 17, I feel she got a much better dinner. I mainly just don't feel like a square of lasagna is not worth 15 dollars. Tried this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and unfortunately I don't think we'll be back. The value for the price we paid was totally off. Mediocre food, tomato soup tasted like thick pasta sauce out of a jar, arugula salad was okay, the eggplant parmigiana was good though. The experience was awkward- our server was shy, socially awkward, and soft spoken, and the music was either off or down so low that i felt like others could hear our conversation. Service was slow for having ordered food for just two adults and a child. I was hoping for more from this restaurant for the price I paid. read more
