First visit to Ziggy's. I got cluck Norris sandwich, my husband got the meaty pizza and then we got an order of wings. Anyway, the sandwich wasn't all that great, but it was still good. I'm a sandwich junkie so my expectations were a bit high. What we REALLY went for were the wings... I had asked in a community food group about the best wings in town and so many people mentioned this place. First off... the jerk had decent flavor and the wings were juicy. They were good sized also which is always a plus, lol. They def could've used some more flare to them to make them stand out among the rest. They didn't take the cake for me on my venture for the best wings in town, but they might make it into top 20, lol. Either way, this place is a local hit and the pizzas have great flavor. I will never do business with this location ever again. The biggest failure was the waitresses that served us, or lack thereof. It started out fine when they seated us and gave us adequate time to look at the menus and order. The drinks came out with great timing, but after that it went bad. Everyone ordered mostly pizzas and myself and another person ordered sandwiches. The pizzas came out all at the same time and to credit the waitress mentioned the owners giving us a free pizza and app. But what failed came next afterwards. After a few of us had the free app it turned out it was someone else's order. So the waitress did not even give it to the person that ordered it. At this point we get the waitresses attention again after 15 minutes pass and she goes back to put in another order. During all this I did not receive my food that I ordered and neither did my friend. Luckily I have great friends that shared while I wait for my food. We don't see the waitress again for another 10 minutes and I ask her, I'm still waiting on my food. She's puzzled and says you haven't got your food yet?? As I'm pointing out that neither of us have any food in front of us. Sorry but it's your job to know and keep track of everyone's food and making sure the order gets in and to check with patrons if everything is going well. She apologizes and mentions we will be getting a discounted bill. Wait another 15 minutes until our food arrives again and she reinstated confidence that we will be taken care of and will get a discounted bill. This happens a total of 3 times. In my head okay she's making good for us and I appreciate that effort to take care of customers. She gives me my bill and assures me it will be discounted. Give her my card and comes back at FULL PRICE. I don't get it. All I requested was food and great service and I'll reward hard work. I got nothing like that. Just wanted to enjoy my evening and she completely ruined that possibility. The college hill location is the only one I would go to. read more

My wife and I left the movie theater and thought we'd head over to Ziggy's on W.13th for some pizza and beer, glad we did. We had the Ziggy's Classic pizza and it was delicious! The crust was very tasty. The kitchen was a little slow tonight but they were extremely busy both in-house and carry-out orders. It didn't affect our visit though. It is fantastic that they are busy. The food was amazing and affordable but the vibes were just not right... When I walked in I didn't get treated like the other people. A busser had to tell me I can sit anywhere after me standing at the front waiting for a couple minutes. The servers just looked over and didn't say anything. She wasn't very friendly when taking my order and by the time almost an hour has went by of me eating she never came to check to see if we needed anything else. I had to get up twice to ask for ranch and refills. This wouldn't be a problem if I didn't watch her give the other customers good service. While waiting for her to come so I could order more food and get ranch and refills I eventually went up there and was told the kitchen closed 2 minutes ago so there is nothing they could do. It might be just been a bad day. But you could clearly see that the difference in the way she was treating the family she was serving and me and my boyfriend. I will eat here again but not inside, togo will be my best friend when ordering from here. read more

However, we have been here over a dozen times in the past couple years and the only negative thing that has ever occurred was our experience with one waitress/bartender. She has an arrogant attitude and never smiles or even tries to be nice. She doesn't check on us and walks past us like we're invisible. I gotta say, the hubby and I went to the West Ziggys last night after getting off of a 12 hour work day. We have been fans of Ziggys since they opened in Wichita and was excited to go to the newer one. Hours on the door said they closed at 11pm. We walked in at 10:15 pm. There were 3 staff members at the bar and no one even looked up to say hi or tell us where to sit. We sat at a booth in the bar area and a server came over. The first words out of her mouth were "just so you know, the kitchen closes in 15 minutes." Huh? I thought you were open till 11? Well, we ordered as soon as she came back with our drinks so it wasn't an issue but I didn't appreciate being rushed to order. A few minutes after ordering, another couple came in and the girl behind the bar tried to turn them away because they were "closing in 30 minutes and the kitchen was already closed." Which was funny, because 1. It wasn't closing time. 2. The kitchen was still making our food and 3. It wasn't even 10:30 which is when the waitress told us the kitchen closed. The food was great, which is why I hate leaving a not so great review but geez.. talk about feeling completely unwelcome. If you close at 11, you serve customers until 11. Even if they walk in at 10:59. It's still prior to closing time. And if you don't want to serve customers until your closing time because you want to leave, then you should close earlier or be in a different business. We get completely unwelcome and completely rushed to eat, which really sucked as a paying customer. Something that management really needs to address. Next time I will go somewhere who doesn't mind serving me until they close. read more
