Even though I have my mechanic, I consider Alberts as good as my mechanic bc he gets the job done quick. he explains everything about your car and a timely manner, effectively and with great prices. He did my loyal changed in my car runs really good always does a great job! Crook and/or dishonest businessman and automechanic On 07/25/20, i went to repair my car due to constant battery drain even when i turn on my car at least 30 min/day. I specifically told him the issue ,"the car constantly run out of battery even after i change into a new battery and a new alternator earlier this year." He changed the ignition switch after the inspection. I asked him "does it have anything to do with the problem of running out of battery" which he replied "Maybe. Just come back if u still have problem. You have a 1 year warranty." In the following week, my car still run out of battery which required jump-start and i decided to came back today on 07/30/20. He refused to honor the warranty with the excuse "It's a different problem." How the hell would i know if it's different problem, all i know is the same issue still persist/exist and it was not getting fixed. At first, he was using excuses that i came to the shop for ignition switch problem. After i pressured him, he admit that i told him the battery drainage issue and he thought maybe fixing the ignition problem will also fix battery drainage. Yet, he still refuse to honor the warranty. $300 down the drain. Then He proceed told me he would need several days and at least $500 to check what's wrong with my car which i declined. Avoid at ALL Cost!!! You have been warned. read more

Needed an oil change on a 2014 GMC Terrain. This small SUV is 4-cylinders and takes regular gas. Inquired about the large sign they have advertising the $25.99 oil change with free car wash. Came there and they looked under the hood and told me this car requires full synthetic oil for $60. Looked in the owner's manual and it just says 5W-30 oil, nothing about synthetic oil. If you want to be upsold on an unnecessary service at more than double the advertised price, this is your spot! read more

To be fair, I don't review businesses based on only one visit. So this is based on years of using Albert High Tech. I originally met Albert through another technician who replaced my hybrid battery. Albert had installed new brakes for me but then I found out that he could also service my car and he turned out to be so much more affordable than the dealership so I started going to Albert for years and he did such a good job. I also recommended a couple of my friends and they've been going to him too. Then came the time when my catalytic converter was stolen. Albert was AMAZING. He found the new part, tuned up my car, checked the air pressure in the tires, looked at my battery and even dealt with the insurance company. I felt like I was dealing with family. Electric cars have very little (if no maintenance). My 2014 VOLT is a "plug-in hybrid", so I do change the oil once in a while even if I don't use the gas powered generator. I recently had a major issue with the radiator and thermal management system for the large battery. I was referred to Albert High Tech for my 2013 Volt by my friend Scott Dupont, who has written a book on the Volt. Scott is an expert on hybrid cars. After getting a quote from The Auto Nation, Valencia Chevy dealer for 100k service and tune-up which was estimated at an amount so high, I would have considered just buying another car. I wish I had discovered this shop sooner. They guys there are pretty cool and friendly. The sign on the sidewalk for $25.00 oil change with free car wash caught my eye. Well, twice already I dropped my car off while I went for my daily jog at Magnolia park. When I came back, my car was ready. No BS, no pressure to buy services I don't need. I tried other chain shops for my FIRST oil change after buying my certified Acura TSX in like-new condition and these mother effers were already trying to talk me into paying for stuff that I knew I didn't need because my car was so new. *shakes head* anyway. Albert is such a friendly guy, who really surprised me with a great customer service ethic! As a woman, it can be hard to find a mechanic you can trust not to take advantage of you. He offers free car washes with his oil changes, and he video recorded some of the complicated work he did under the hood so that when I returned to the shop, he could show me some of the oil leaks, etc that were causing issues with the cars performance. I first found this place because I needed an oil change, it was a good price and came with a free car wash. Its been 3 years now and I have no regrets or complaints. I was about to go out of town and my check engine light came on. I always hate going into a shop as a woman. My dad worked on cars so I know some basic stuff but most mechanics treat woman like we don't know anything about our cars. I may not be a mechanic, but I do understand the basic functions of most of my engine's components. My car was idling low and had a bit of a shake to it, so I had a pretty good idea of where the problem was. But at the same time I wanted to be sure. I was a little short on funds, but heard great things about this shop (and the Yelp reviews were good), so I decided to take my car in. I also knew my breaks were in need of replacing. They checked my car out and I needed a new Oxygen Sensor, and one of my spark plugs was not firing. Plus, I was well over due for an oil and break change. The parts for my car are not cheap, but Albert kept the labor costs way down and got my car back to me in just a few hours. I also asked him to check my timing belt. He knew that I was a little pressed for cash but when has that ever stopped a mechanic from over selling you? He said my timing belt could wait a bit until I could afford to get it replaced. Since the timing belt is a big expensive job. He also threw in some spark plugs and a car wash. All said and done he had me in and out in no time, and my car is running better then it has in months. An honest mechanic, who would have thought such a thing still existed? I thought they were in the same land as unicorns and fairies. Seriously, this is a great place. They are nice and don't judge you. I was treated with respect, and I didn't get that "talk down to the little lady" treatment. They cleaned my engine and filled all my fluids in addition to all the other work they did. It's not a big shop, and not anything fancy, so if you are looking for a fancy place to sit and catch up on your daytime soaps or gossip shows, this probably isn't the place for you. Since it's a small shop, I would call before you go in, and I imagine that on the weekends they get pretty busy (I went on a Monday in the morning and they got to me right away). read more

I have been going to Albert for seven years now. I've also sent at least 5 friends to him who remain regular customers now. My Honda was on it's last leg at about 150,000 miles. Other repair shops quoted me hundreds of dollars more for each problem that came up. Albert ended up saving the car, and it lasted me until 250,000 miles! It was still running by the time I got rid of it but it was time for a new car anyway. He is honest and reasonable, and finishes work quickly. His employees are always really sweet as well.
