Local spot in log island where everyone knows your name. The pizza was pretty good as well

Well, first off, walk in and stand at the counter being ignored. Young spanish girl standing at the counter talking to another worker cursing up a storm. Literally every other word out of her mouth was a curse. Then she goes on to start talking about someone and calling them a fat pos, this that and the other thing. One of the other male workers actually had to tell her to watch her mouth. Seriously, if you cant be professional, dont work. The pizza was fine but wont be back

    Disgusting

Very disappointed and straight up disgusted! I ordered 2 pizzas and wound up biting into someone's ring. Called them and all they offered was a reorder. When they did bring the new pies they dropped the pizzas on the my porch and ran away laughing. DON'T ORDER FROM ALBERT'S. THEY DON'T WEAR GLOVES WHILE PREPARING YOUR FOOD.

Original location half a century ago.. same recipe likely in from Brooklyn back then.. right here in Long Island.

This is a strange pie..... that is nothing like you expect. It looks like Grandma's but in fact its a bit edgier. Square pie with crispy sicilian style crust.. but crispier, lighter... cheese is hidden under a tangy red sauce with romano sprinkled lightly on top. Is it good? It is.. and it's addictive. It is a 50+ yr Pizza place and has fans. People don't say lets order Pizza, when thinking of this Place.. because its different... They say.. Lets order Alberts. And no one ever says no! Worth the trip to know just what "Alberts" is. btw... after all these years... while visting my brother the other day.. I saw what lookied similar... and he said what he had was brought in from some name.. (an older place) in Brooklyn. I will look into it.. but it may have been the original idea spawned long ago! Who knows. This was once a very Italian town back in Alberts early days.. so a step away from Brooklyn is quite likely. ** update already... a yelper told me it was L & G since 1930 - Those were the initials! amazing what a small world.. so this is similar style but saucier than L & G of Brooklyn

The entire process was seamless -- the staff was so kind, professional, and communicative throughout every step. The food was delivered with such care and everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. My family and I are still reeling from our experience here this week. The food here is very good. We all agreed. Unfortunately, we also agreed that the "service" was about the worst we can remember having anywhere. Our server was a male, perhaps mid 40s, light hair, little ponytail, not very tall. We did not get his name. Right from the beginning we noticed something seemed off about him. He was rushing, was clearly agitated, aggressive, and rudely interrupted us when we attempted to ask questions. Appetizer salads arrived at our table even before we were finished ordering our dinners (we still had menus) and when we asked him to *please* slow down, that we wanted to enjoy the dinner, he raised his voice and got visibly angry. We saw him walk away, throw up his hands and shake his head, all in plain view of us. His behavior continued throughout our meal and made the entire experience so unpleasant and uncomfortable. When he brought over a bowl of soup, he said, very loud and sarcastically, "There's a spoon there for ya!" Honestly, he seemed so worked up, I was worried he was going to dump the thing in my lap. Dude clearly has issues he brought to work with him. We also noticed this person openly coughing into his hands, rubbing his nose, and then serving food to another table. (We did mention this to another server as that is pretty disgusting.) We were celebrating a birthday and when we came in we asked the host at the door to please put a candle in whatever dessert we ordered. We provided a bag with a candle. Well, we ordered dessert, but the candle was MIA. Nothing, nada. When we left, they gave us back the bag, but the candle was missing. (!) By this point we weren't even surprised. (And they told us the candle had been in the dessert. It definitely wasn't) One star is for the food, the other is for the kind woman with the long dark hair who also tended to our table for the first hour or so. This is clearly a nice restaurant with a good reputation and good food, but sadly, our visit was terrible; a very bad experience and one we wish we could forget.

I also noticed at the restaurant that the guy making the pizza was touching money but never washed his hands. Then he proceeded to go back to playing with the dough! This isn't the first incident we've had but we gave this place another shot since the pizza was somewhat decent. If my child would have gotten that plastic, we would've had bigger problems. We had a party of 4 and arrived at about 3pm, we didn't realize that the dining room didn't open till 4pm but they let us sit down in the dining room and we had to order from the counter which was no big deal. They did have a young lady in the dining room but she said she was not a waitress, this is just my opinion but they should let her wait on tables when something like this comes up so she can get the experience to become a waitress. Food was delicious, we all had different chicken dishes and all of us loved what we had. Prices were very fair. Definitely will be going back soon. They also do a pasta night and a chicken night the was very reasonable.

I originally wanted the Neapolitan, but after seeing the Margherita, we changed our minds and it was the right choice. OMG, wow! The crust had the perfect crunch, the fresh ingredients were full of flavor, and every bite was better than the last. Mikes Underground Pizza just slid into my Number One Spot for the best pizza on Long Island. There's a lot of quirks to piss people off to get at this pizza. My father in law in Florida wouldn't have the patience to pull off this caper. -Coming from the north shore to drive south, *1000 Montauk Hwy* on the Tesla Nav will not bring you to the location, I was at the hospital in Islip. You have to put West Babylon at the end -And it's *Cash ONLY*. Now that we have the pleasantries out of the way, let's continue with the review. The 14" Clam Pie is a game changer. I've waited on very long lines at Frank Pepe's in New Haven to get their clam Apizza. It's good but Mikes Pizza is far superior. Simple with freshly shucked clams, garlic and breadcrumbs, now add the crust that a comes from a true New York pizzaiolo who doesn't cut the pizza Connecticut style (like it came out of a slasher film) and now you have a competition pizza that Dave Portnoy would give a 9.4. The Vodka Round was equally impressive. The sauce was so complex, first bite I could tell it was a home run, out the box (see what I did there) a winner. Here's my issue, I drove from the North Shore to the South Shore to an abandoned bank parking lot to get at this pizza. I know the business model is working for you but it doesn't for the customers. I have a plan! Listen, I'm ready to retire. I'm thinking about the next few years driving on the Belt Parkway to Bay Ridge and it gives me night terrors. Let's do this together! By Stony Brook, the college kids will go wild! All kidding aside, Number one pizza on Long Island. March 2026

It's a pizza truck nestled in the back of a brewery serving up some serious dough. The crust is super thin and crispy. The sauce is so flavorful. You can taste the freshness of the tomatoes, garlic, and the herbs. Even though it was super sauced up, the crust didn't get soggy at all! The slices are on the bigger side too, so I'd highly recommend coming with a group to order another pie flavor to mix and match. You can use the space of the brewery to eat your pizza while enjoying some drinks. The interior is very bright and airy. It seems they're trying to open up their own brick and mortar so I am definitely looking forward to that!

The pizza was solid - very thin with no flop, a distinctive sauce, and nice cheese. Not necessarily my style on the dough - it was the kind of dough with a bumpy bottom for lack of a technical term, and the crisp was good but not the kind of char that I prefer. No indictment on the pizza though, as it was definitely solid if not my preferred style. Can't go wrong with the chocolate chip cookie either!
