The best pizza dough, the best pizza sauce, and the cheese is perfect! I love Albert's pizza

Horrible experience. Went here for the first time today. Never again will I go here. I've never been so disrespected. I went in and ordered 4 slices for dine-in. The girl behind the counter put the slices in the oven and I sat down waiting and waiting and waiting. Over a half hour passes and I saw so many people who ordered after me get their pizza. I finally go up to the counter to ask a guy behind the counter where the pizza is (at least he seemed nice and respectful if I'm being honest) and the girl who took my order quickly scurries to grab 4 new slices, saying "oh you wanted these, right?" And threw them into the oven. I told her we already ordered over a half hour ago and she already put the slices in the oven, so what is going on? She couldn't give me a straight answer or make eye contact. First she said she didn't put them in the oven (even though I saw her put them in when we first placed the order). Then she murmurs to a coworker that she forgot about them in the oven and they burned. She just quickly tried to ring me up and make me pay. I asked 3 times what happened about my previous order and she wouldn't tell me, she wouldn't apologize, give me any kind of proper explanation as to why we've been waiting for so long. Finally after so much dishonesty, disrespect, and absolute lack of accountability, I told her to keep her pizza and we left, hungry. They don't deserve my hard earned money. The sad part is she could have made it right by clearly telling me what happened and apologizing and taking accountability. She instead was more concerned about hiding what happened to me and everyone. Fire this dishonest girl please. read more

I will need to give it another try. The pizza was just ok and the garlic knots were not cooked all the way and very doughy. Maybe I need to try their upside down slice. read more

Im picky when it comes to pizza after living in NYC for over 40 years. Took me a few tries at the local spots to find this place - but once I did it sealed the deal. Their square pie is their specialty, so when i heard that I was afraid that their regular cheese pie would seriously be lacking, but I was dead wrong. Square pie is ON POINT... can't stress this enough. If you like the old school grandma slices but imagine someone who's managed to finesse perfection whe n it comes to a square- look no further.. I've been a customer of Albert's since Albert owned it around the corner from where it is now. Before Albert sold the business long ago, all he sold was square and round pies. That's it. The line was always out the door, because the square pie is the BEST pizza you'll ever have. I don't live on Long Island anymore. But, we travel to LI a few times a year just for the square pie. When I was young, two slices filled me up. Being a slob now, we polish off a square pie between two people in one sitting. It really tastes like no other pizza. It's EXCELLENT! read more

I placed an order on the ubereats app around 5:30pm. The app gave an estimate of delivery around 6-6:30pm. The uber app stated that the store would handle deliveries and for updates call the store. At about 7:15pm I called the store and there was no answer. The phone continued to ring. I placed another call from a different phone and they picked up. I spoke to the manager and they stated that the order was canceled due to my address being out of the delivery area I called back about a half hour later because the order was still showing active. The manager stated again the order was canceled. The store closes at 9pm and at 8:59pm the order in the uber app was marked as delivered .Uber will not refund me because they claim the order was delivered. This seem to be a new pattern with Alberts because I found another review from a week ago with the same details. Shame on you Albert's Pizza. ' read more

I recently noticed in the last few months that a lot of the food being made at Alberts has been less than stellar. They constantly over salt everything and its almost inedible especially when I order it online. When I walk in during the day the pizza is fine when the owner is there. At night with a constant group of rotating teenagers making the food, It is pot luck. Ex. A few pies I ordered tasted like someone dumped salt on them. Chicken Parms sauce is loaded with salt. Sausage in a Sausage and Peppers are burnt. Hopefully the owner sees this and addresses this. I've been getting their square pies for years with no complaints so not sure why the quality has dropped off. read more

Well, first off, walk in and stand at the counter being ignored. Young spanish girl standing at the counter talking to another worker cursing up a storm. Literally every other word out of her mouth was a curse. Then she goes on to start talking about someone and calling them a fat pos, this that and the other thing. I have always liked Alberts Pizza for many, many years. I love, specifically their Sicilian pie. It's not like other places Sicilians pizza, not super thick, more like a Grandmas crust, crunchy and tasty as heck. Their simple sauce has a great addictive tang to it, and putting the mozzarella cheese down first keeps it unburnt and gooey fresh. Very disappointed and straight up disgusted! I ordered 2 pizzas and wound up biting into someone's ring. Called them and all they offered was a reorder. Ride or die Alberts Pizza fan for life. Best in America. There I said it. Lol. Legit, I've gone far and wide and this is my standard bearer. I love an Alberts Pie- the Sicilian with upside down sauce. An Alberts Special will get you an Alberts pie, 6 garlic knots, 6 pizza rolls (pepperoni or broccoli), and a 2 liter soda. This is a family favorite and I'm so glad this location is so close to my grandma's house so I can have it whenever I visit home from Chicago. read more

This has been one of my favorite pizza shops since I'm a kid. Growing up in the neighborhood it was a kind of staple in my childhood. It was their unique way of making pizza, I'll always remember square pies with the sauce on top. Everything about it was perfect and delicious. It's been years since I've been in the store but tonight I had to come in to say hello. The pizza is still exactly the same today as it was back then. I brought home a fresh hot pie for myself and my daughter. My 12 year old daughter said "dad, this is the best pizza I've ever had in my life" My response with sauce on my face and mouthful of pizza was simply..... This is a strange pie..... that is nothing like you expect. It looks like Grandma's but in fact its a bit edgier. Square pie with crispy sicilian style crust.. but crispier, lighter... cheese is hidden under a tangy red sauce with romano sprinkled lightly on top. Is it good? It is.. and it's addictive. It is a 50+ yr Pizza place and has fans. People don't say lets order Pizza, when thinking of this Place.. because its different... They say.. Lets order Alberts. And no one ever says no! Worth the trip to know just what "Alberts" is. btw... after all these years... while visting my brother the other day.. We lived on Long Island for 50 years and came Back for a wedding. On our last night our friends ordered Alberts pizza. It was delicious. It's still made the same way it was originally made, back when it was on Oak Street in Copiague. Our favorite is the square pie, cheese on the bottom and sauce on the top. Great pizza. Terrible service. Today I Ordered 1 square pie and 6 mozzarella sticks. The lovely girl on the phone gave me the total and told me it would be about 15-20 min. She was very pleasant. An hour later I call up to make sure I wasn't forgotten, just wanted to see if I should pick up instead. (Because at this point what is the point of delivery) The young man who answered looked up my order, told me it hadn't been an hour yet (order was placed at 5:30 I called at 6:28) then proceeded to tell me "well we're busy we'll get to you eventually". This is yet another example of a good business with very good food that has been ruined by the snowflake generation of " it's not my problem". Lucky for everyone els, there is no shortage of pizza places to goto. Drove 2 min down the road to Spasso's in Lindenhurst and walked out with a pie in 10 min. Farewell Alberts, after years of patronage your product is not worth an hour wait only to be insulted and disrespected. read more

I give 2 stars for fast delivery and delicious crispy wings. The pizza was not good. The meatball parm hero was ok. The sauce has no flavor other than raw canned tomato. It tastes like they just open a jar an smear it on top of their square pizza. No seasoning, no cooking nothing. They also don't use peeled tomatoes so there's peels in every bite which is gross to me. You get what you pay for. Cheap pizza equals cheap ingredients. read more

This place is famous on Long Island for their upside down pizza yet somehow I've never been here until now. I had a delicious Sicilian style slice with the sauce on top and it was every bit as amazing as it sounds. I always rate pizza based on the dough to sauce to cheese ratio...excluding the cheese in this case...the ratio was perfection! I would go out of my way to come again and definitely want to try other things! read more

Food here is good but not one employee was wearing a mask nor did I ever see anyone wash their hands or use hand sanitizer in the entire half an hour that I was there waiting for my online order. I totally understand that it's difficult to work with a mask but if I can do it so can everyone else. My opinion of course but I rather that then excuses. Quality of the food and service really really varies, and usually when I see a bunch of kids behind the counter I know it wont be as good. Plus, the place makes ME feel like a weirdo for wearing a mask inside. Not a single person working there had one on. When I called to order my pie I asked for a grilled chicken salad...she specifically asked Greek or garden...I said garden and got just a garden salad no chicken, and got charged the delivery fee if $1.00. read more
