I can't say how much I love this Albertsons. Nash and Hong are the nicest sushi chefs and always accommodate me when I need a poke bowl on my way to work. They are always so kind about it and I really just appreciate all their work and service. I ordered croissant sandwiches over the phone and the workers never once mentioned that they were selling us 18" trays. They asked if we want 18 or 20. I thought of course they were saying sandwiches so I order 3 trays of 18 thinking I was getting around 50 sandwiches. I was more than surprised when I came in a rush to pick them up and I had over 100 sandwiches on 3 18" trays. I had no time to fix the situation so I was charged almost $200 for sandwiches I did not want. Please be specific on the phone. Do not assume we know exactly what you are talking about. read more

Already one of the best of any in the Albertson's chain Treasure Valley locations, it is now even better since a store wide re-vamp. I had not been here in nearly nine months and popped in to pick up 'one quick thing' because I am not an "Albertson's shopper.". But finding all the great improvements I browsed around the aisles for a hour or better. I sipped a tall dark roast from the in-store Starbuck's and 'shopped as entertainment'. No kidding. In Albertson's. And instead of 'one quick thing', I filled up a cart with many treasures. My status may change from "once in a blue moon when I'm desperate" shopper to semi-regular if the GOOD CHANGES hold up. As follows... CUSTOMER SERVICE: Service has always been friendly when people were tracked down and asked. But this time service was proactive: "are you finding what you need?...any questions I can answer?" and still friendly. Everyone working there seemed proud of the new improvements and eager to help. CHEESE: The deli section has been rearranged for better space planning and to allow expansion of the cheese section to include artisan cheese case and counter staffed by a super friendly cheesemonger (in training) who is really helpful and can recommend options, let you sample, and custom cut and wrap your choice. This is a work in progress for what they stock but I think they'll get there if enough customers ask. This area is light and bright and spacious and the service sparkles too DELI - SALAD BAR: We don't buy prepared deli products or deli meats, but looking at the sparkling clean and well stocked case that included brands like Boar's Head, if you're a deli case shopper, this could be just the ticket. And there is a hot bar and salad bar for take out at the deli too. None of the items on it would be our thing, but I can think of a friend who eschews anything leafy green and appreciates all other salad items and I think it would be his thing. (Yes, CY...I'm talkin' to you.) PRODUCE: The produce section has been rearranged and expanded. It was well stocked and "presented"...that takes human beings having pride in display of the product and we thanked the guy doing the work for making it so. The organic produce, which is our 'jam' has been expanded too. It's still far behind Whole Foods, the Co-Op and Fred Meyer for organic produce options, but it is light years better than any other Albertsons. BINS: They've added a bulk bin section, or expanded it perhaps, with some good options of all kinds of grains, beans, nuts, candies, dried fruit and so on. VINO & BREW: You can still find Apothic and other "I'm only using this stuff to braise" brands here but the wine section seems much expanded for both shelves of options and in the refrigerator case with varietals and country or state of origin easy to id if you're shopping that way. (Note: There is a Kuna Idaho winery making Pinot Noir. No kidding. No. I was not brave enough to buy it.) I sure didn't expect to find Far Niente Cabs at Albertsons, but so I did here. There was also a yuuuuuugggge walk in for beer if that's your thing. PRODUCT: We buy very little in the way of processed foods but brands we use like California Ranch for olive oils, Stonewall for jams, Bob's Red Mill and Lundberg for rice and ancient grains, King Arthur for flour, Mezzetta for olives and roasted peppers are all present and accounted for as well as lots and lots of other higher end packaged goods. They still have the abundance of processed stuff like commercially canned soups and cereals if that's your 'jam', but now with options beyond that. FLORIST SECTION: Already OK, it is now much improved for fresh product variety and service both. GOOD SPACE PLANNING & STOCKING: The aisles are well laid out and everything was well stocked and logically arranged. PS - They do the "order for delivery" out of this store. Also, there is a drive through window on the side where you can "pre-order for pick up". I shop for entertainment. But if you don't, there are options for you! read more

This is a regular stop for us when we come to Meridian, although prices are high it's convenient and has everything we need to stay a few days. A case of water is $2.99, while a pod of 10 Starbucks Coffee Pods was $11.49. I guess you need to watch your prices now on everything. read more

Getting your groceries delivered every week for a $5 fee is amazing, and everyone should be drinking this Kool Aid, TBH. It has made life so much easier. We LOVE, LOVE, LOOOVVEEEE this Albertson's! We ONLY get our meat here! Unless we are making a Costco run. Hehe. The head butcher is the man! He is always super upbeat and positive! Every time he greets my kids with a high five, stickers and occasion, something yummy that he cooked up behind the counter. I always bribe my kids that we are going to go and see their buddy, and they always get so excited. The ladies/men upfront at the registers are super friendly and are always so kind to my kids. It makes going grocery shopping with two young stinkers, less painful! read more

me and my friend had a terrible experience in the self-checkout line. we were paying together and were standing next to each other for a split second as i gave her the food i had to scan. the woman attending the register area bee-lined to us immediately. this woman was not respectful, i don't think me or my friend have experienced this type of terrible service. she began to yell at us that we could not stand next to each other even if we were paying together. me and my friend were a bit confused since we were paying together, not separate. this woman continued to be aggressive and in both of our personal space. she was not kind, extremely aggressive, i complied but it could have been said WAY nicer. i don't know who this woman is but she needs to be humbled. read more

This is like my favorite store ever it's like right by my house and I love shopping here but this morning I witnessed a girl working in the bakery yelling at this old guy because she dropped a French bread on the floor - the ones that are open on the end - and put it back with all the other fresh bread she was putting on the shelf and he was trying to tell her that she can't do that and she was like being so rude to him and then another bakery worker joined her and they dropped another bread that was wrapped and were like mocking him and saying is that a big deal?! And he was trying to say no because it was completely wrapped. I am thinking the management should hire new bakery workers ones that actually care about customers and I'm thinking I will no longer buy anything from this bakery which is disappointing. ... read more

for full disclosure, as a stock owner of the big K (Krogers-Fred Meyers), I have to admit that Albertsons seems to be coming more competitive, if their revamped McMillan and Eagle store is a typical example. Visited this store for the first time after the remodeling and am very pleased with it. This has always been the Albertsons we used since it seems to be the most convenient for us. With the nice changes and products now carried, we will be using it more. Michele R. has already done the heavy lifting in describing the setup, but I would like to add things which please us. First, this store has a first class salad bar with lots of non-green goodies to add to your salad. Give me chopped hard boiled eggs, bacon bits, and garbanzos and we are half way to a good salad. Ever since Rosaeuer's closed, there hasn't been a worthwhile salad bar in this area. This one beats the Coop's by a kilometer. Secondly, this store sells Big wood bread from Hailey/Sun River. Their Epi is the best as well as their sourdough loaf. Until now, we could only find this bakery's bread at the Coop. Now, if Albertsons could refine their Customer Card program as well as Fred Meyer's, they might get a 5 star from me. But in this area they fall behind, so far. read more

This Albertsons is amazing. We went in there for just a few thing and ended up with a cart full and lunch. They have a made to order food court with so.many different kinds of foods. We ate at the deli sandwich counter twice. Both times Isabella waited on us. She is super friendly and remembered our preferences from our first trip there. The cashiers are friendly too. I came here for some eclairs. I was amazed how fresh they were. This is a nice Albertsons. There's a Starbucks inside too and a nice seating area. I usually stop at this Albertsons if I'm on my way back from a walk or run. It's a nice place to stop at for a drink and a few items to bring back home. I noticed the parking lot is pretty large too. Walked all the way over here from Chinden to cash my check. Just to find out they have a limit of only $700. That is ridiculous! Im pretty sure that people here in Boise get payed way more than that.
