This review is for Albertsons' florists, Rebecca and Teresa. Where I sometimes know what I'd like, not today! I arrived frazzled and in a rush due to the Canvas computer hacking issue facing so many today. Teresa and Rebecca were so helpful and quick! I wanted to revamp my review since I have been coming here a very long time since its very close to my home. Lately, they almost always are out of the main things I come to buy. Examples are certain iced teas, frozen shrimp meals, the onion/pepper mixture package, sometimes the asparagus packages, and several other common items. They also never have the green ties to wrap your bags, and the store is not stocked like it used to be. This has forced me to drive to a different Albertsons almost always lately. The positive. The store manager is always nice and so are the cashiers. They are always friendly and helpful, and sometimes I have had a few of them walk around with me helping me find products. So I have to give this a mixed review with 3/5 stars, mostly due to customer support. Thx read more

Overpriced, the need for an app to get reasonable prices is a joke, and the signs above the French bread say "hot and ready between 4-7pm or it's free". When you get to the register with the cold French bread they say they will call the bakery to see if they have hot bread, which of course they have it but they didn't put it out because they're lazy so now I have to wait 5 minutes and hold up the line for my bread instead of them honoring the cold bread promise. They should give you the bread if it's not out on display at the appropriate time. But that's not how Albertsons works, they always need to rip you off read more

Chino Hills, CA Albertson's is not my go-to grocery store but it sure did come correct for some last minute purchases yesterday on Christmas Day! Now that I think of it, we actually made a stop in a few days ago for some freshly grated horseradish in the refrigerated section, and on Christmas Day, I picked up a few extra items. I ran into a friend in the parking lot who was joining us later. She picked up this cheese bread that was out of this world. Sliced and warmed in the oven and slathered with butter, what a treat!. Probably the worst Albertsons I've been to. There is NEVER anyone at the customer service counter to help with Lottery tickets/money orders They redid all their price tags and lighting. I hate it. Before the tags would stick out and be easy to read and now the tags are all digital and dull with very small print. The lighting makes the whole store look dark as well... while doing this they raised all their pricing and not really good deals anymore like how it was before I never get fruit from here anymore such as strawberries on because they get mold so fast (within a day or two) The bathrooms are never stocked and always dirty. Surprisingly, I had never stepped into this Albertsons until this past week, after passed by... over the past decade and more. These days, I am in the area a few times a week and was running low on a few items and it was convenient to stop by at this location, than my normal Vons. I like the half & half from Lucerne, and since Albertsons and Vons are the same owners, it was really convenient. There are always plenty of parking in front and it was easy breezy in and out. I was able to find what I needed quickly and even grabbed a few extras on the way to self-checkout. I did not spend much time in the store, but with any Albertsons/Vons, they are usually well-stocked and items are neatly on the shelf. I may stop by more often in the future. read more

Great customer service: 5/5. I showed up late in a Sunday FundY to grocery shop. I ended up with two items. Uncovered LOTS of sales taking place on Sunday, 04/21/24. Needed a new grocery spot so stumbled upon This Albertsons/Savon Branch. Ambiance: 5/5. They were very neatly organized inside from all aisles. All sales' labels were clearly attached to the items on sale. Sales Items: Ramen, Cake decorations, Bacon & Bologna Chips galore, Select kitchen baking utensils, Pasta Galore (most all brands on sale), Canned food, Frozen meat....etc. Were just some of my browsed sections. This was my first time visiting this Albertsons/Savon branch in Chino Hills, CA. If I needed some thing else in the future and all these sales were still taking place, I'd stop by. read more

Great location. Clean and well kept store. Deli with sushi which is good, and Starbucks inside. The staff is friendly, well somewhat. The other day I walked into the men's room and saw that the floor was totally covered in water from a major leak. I walked over to an employee stocking the freezer, and said "hello" so I can tell him about the issue. %100 ignored me. I really don't have too much to say other than service is always amazing. From the ladies at the deli to the cashier associates. It always feels welcoming stepping into this location. I always find what I need here but today was different, their chicken smelled even more delicious. So I grabbed myself some hot wings and some potato wedges. I just called and talked to a woman in the deli - 7/2/25 at 453pm. I told her I wanted to order fried chicken for 8am pick up tomorrow, 7/3/25. She barked loud and said,"ohhhh no that's too early!" I then asked, "what's the earliest time then?" She said, "9am" and I said ok I'd like to place an order to pick up at 9am and she said, "well let me see what I have." I was so disgusted with the service I hung up and called stater brothers down the street and they were more than willing to place an order of 36 pieces of fried chicken for pick up at 8am". I went to this particular Albertsons because I had some errands to do nearby. I needed a beautiful bouquet for my nieces' graduation that same evening. I usually go to Von's in Eastvale for my floral needs but this particular day it was out of my way. Huge mistake. The woman who helped me and rewrapped my bouquet did a terrible job and had a condescending attitude. Don't go here if you want a beautiful bouquet. read more

Nick is the worst grocery store manager I've ever met. Came in well before closing time to get the Coho Salmon and Nick the helpless, yet also condescending "manager" refused to sell it cause the fish monger had just left for the eavening. The salmon is right there we can both see it but he says he's the head manager of the store and get it even though its right there. He says he's not trained to get it. He shouldn't be in charge of people who's job he's not trained to do. None the less fish is one super perishable item where freshness is key and he insists "fish wont go bad if its refrigerated", SMH! Every day fish sits in the case ita flavor goes further downhil. If anyone notices the fish here not always so fresh thank Nick. If anyone who runs the store ever has to dispose of unsold seafood inventory didnt move in time thank Nick. Tony manager of the stater bros down the street would never ley that happen, at SB they care about the people shop there. Same with Sprouts market across the street their Management has the customers' back, but not Nick at Albertsons on Grand & Peyton. There's a reason the Soquel Canyon Albertsons in South Chino Hills is always regarded as the better location. This north Chino Hills Albertsons on Peyton Dr is run by an incompetent yet self righteous excuse for a manager whos giddy to insult inconvenience paying customers.. Worst Albertsons grocery within a 50 mile radius. This place hardly has any cashiers, usually just one or none at all! Meat selection is the worst. Most (not all) workers are grouchy and will just hang around the self checkout line chitchatting. It's unfortunate because this is a prime location in the heart of Chino Hills. The managers should go on a field trip to nearby Stater Bros. In Chino Hills Pkwy and Grand to see how a grocery store should be run. There are plenty of cashiers and baggers who are always happy to help the customers in their busy store. Shelves are well stocked and organized, checkout areas are spacious, and produce selection is abundant and of good quality. Do better Albertsons Grand! read more

Local shopper, been going here for the past 2 years. Here's my encounter with Frank, Art, and Eric. Frank was the cause of the problem. Art was stocking eggs so he didn't have a full view of the encounter but he was brought into the disagreement. Eric is, I assume, the head gm and handled the situation correctly. The encounter: My wife and I went to the back corner of the store by the frozen foods. As we were looking at the end cap we noticed Frank approaching behind us. He pretended to be on his phone just keeping around our presence and not acknowledging us. What someone does when they are suspicious of a shoplifter. As we walked around the aisle he continued to follow and I commented to my wife he's being weird. So I walked around the opposite end cap passing Art and coming back to the original aisle and he continued to follow keeping us in view while having small chat with Art. (At this point Art is not in view because he's on the opposite end cap stocking eggs.) This is when I start to mock Frank pretending to watch him back. So what does Frank do? He gives me a dirty look and says to Art this guy thinks I'm following him. Yes, Frank, you made me feel like I was being followed. Emotions got heated and words were exchanged between me, Frank, and Art. I'll give Art the benefit of the doubt because he didn't see much and was defending his co-worker from what he thought was an unreasonable customer. Why didn't Frank respond with... Sir, can I help you? Why are you doing that? Nope, he said to Art "this guy thinks I'm following him" which just confirms the whole situation. I probably got a little too heated but it wouldn't have happened if Frank just greeted us like normal customers instead of following us around like a weirdo. The whole thing was just strange. Especially since we're local shoppers and they know us. I'm going to continue to shop here but you've been warned about FRANK. I was just going to let it go until I saw the other negative review of Frank so I'm doubling down. His customer service is defensive and argumentative and he didn't act like someone who was innocent of the situation. He didn't question my mockery that is the key takeaway. Albertsons probably needs to give this guy some counseling because friendly isn't in him. read more

Maggie and Nick are my problem solvers! Anyway to make a long story short. I went in to return an expired chip bag (unopened) for my wife. They took care of it quickly! Maggie offered an extra bag for my troubles...since the replacement bag was already OUT. (So either they removed the expired chips...which tells me they are fast) or simply there were no more! Anyway I just want to commend my local Albertsons' crew since good work SHOULD always be appreciated! We don't deserve royal treatment as customers BUT when decency and customers are appreciated! This is one of the closest groceries to our home but it's so discouraging to buy from this branch. The lines are always so long. 1 or 2 cashiers each time I go. Something needs to be done about this. Oh look another Albertsons that is terrible. I went to pick up a bakery item that was in the back and there was nobody there. I stood there for 5 minutes and the deli workers stood and stared at me. It was awkward. I actually called the store while I was standing there and was put on hold for another 6 minutes and listened to the overhead page to pick up a customer service call. I finally asked a deli worker for help and let him know I just needed something from behind the counter and he shrugged and told me they're short staffed and to call the customer service phone which I told him I did and nobody answered so he shrugged and said they're short staffed again. I asked for the service manager to see if maybe they could help me and he pointed vaguely "that way" I found her and she was standing there socializing showing people pictures on her phone. She looked at me, then turned back to her conversation. I stood there for another 5 minutes and was finally done. I wasted almost 30 minutes there. I drove to Costco and went to their bakery and was out in under 10 minutes I completely understand places are short staffed right now and I am totally ready to be patient/understanding but I don't think that's the true issue here, and based off of the other reviews it looks like this has been an ongoing issue. I'm sad because I used to really like Albertsons but I think this is the end for me. They're too expensive to have such bad service-at least at wal mart they're cheap and I expect to get treated like garbage. Plus I'm sick of dealing with the Albertsons App. It's glitchy and sometimes they'll ring you up without it going through and it's just an added hassle to make the prices somewhat palatable. read more

I have been a resident of Chino Hills since 1989 and was at the opening of Albertsons on the first day that it opened. Since it was brought out by Krogers the service and the variety of food items has suffered. I was just in there and all the register lights were off, but there was a lady at one of the registers with her back leaning against the register. This forced me to go to the self checkout. It is my belief that if I pay full price for a item, I should get full service. read more

This Albertsons is just the worst. They went through a renovation not so long ago during which they stayed open with layers and layers of dust all over everything. They cleaned up at this point but there are still remnants of construction past. Why do I still come here you ask? Its super convenient for me and they carry most of the basics. I don't hit the meat or seafood dept though. Doesn't give me a fresh vibe. Oh but I did discover these Grilled Chicken Breast Strips by Foster Farms that already cooked and ready to go. I like to throw them in to different dishes like pasta or udon. Super easy and I haven't seen them anywhere else. Random but yeah this place generally no good but I still frequent often. First time using the DriveUp & Go feature and it was a breeze! Ordered my groceries through the app and it was ready within an hour. I am so confused. Am I expected to bag my own groceries at Albertsons on Grand Ave/Peyton? I'm always happy to do it if the store is short-staffed but today the cashier stood there and watched me do it wilst doing nothing at all. I use my own bags; they are the stand up tote bags that I set up so it is not like she would have to touch the bags in any way. This isn't the first time it has happened. I love my local Albertsons, my go to grocery store in CH for over 20 years. The local HS kids they hire are great, friendly and helpful, especially Yard. When I went in on Sunday, I completely forgot why I didn't like to shop here on Sundays. Frank is the rudest cashier I've came across and I'm glad to see it's not just me. My rain check was about to expire so I went to do a little shopping and used my rain check. Frank is not welcoming, and when I gave him my rain check, he seemed bothered with a look on his face and made a grunt. He was expecting the rain check and made a bothered face as it was fake. Mind you, it was for 2 packages of sausages. I asked him to scan my App on my phone and he looked at me bothered and said it wasn't going to do anything. I asked Frank if it wasn't going to give me points and he didn't answer. The nice box boy said, "Yes." It will give me points. I knew the answer because I've been shopping here and use my App all the time for, deals just 4u, Rewards, starbucks, and points. FRANK IS SIMPLY A MISERABLE MAN THAT DOESN'T BELONG IN OUR COMMUNITY, CHINO HILLS. HE NEEDS TO GET TRANSFERED! HE MAKES IT UNPLEASANT TO SHOP AND HE'S THE ONLY CASHIER ON LATE SUNDAYS. Whoever decided on hiring that cheap concrete floor company, well....that's what happens when they don't know what they're doing. Went in there today and EVERYTHING on ALL shelves and items are covered in dust from the concrete floors. The floors are also uneven so watch your step. I'm surprised nobody has tripped yet. There are high and low spots, and even the VCT floors in the front are extremely dirty and still there? Anyways, plenty of other stores in the area. I like to go to Albertsons to do my grocery shopping since it's close to home. They usually have everything I am looking for. I never once had a problem until today. I saw there was a deal going on for an item I was looking at, 10 for $10. I even took a picture just in case so I could ask the girl at the register if it was legit, which she said yes when I asked. She didn't ask to see any coupon and said that it "should" have went through AFTER I had already paid. From the beginning, I knew something was off. I did the math myself and it was wrong so I went back to her and she told me to handle it at customer service?? This could have been avoided if she actually knew was she was doing. I went to customer service and thought it would be resolved smoothly, but instead it was the opposite. I had no idea of this "digital coupon" where I had to download an app. When he would talk to me, he would pause between words as if to compose himself. He did let out a couple of sighs while helping me. My time at Albertsons' went from 20minutes to an hour. It would have been nice if the girl at the register knew how these coupons worked.
